Hemlock Bluffs Nature Preserve is a joint project between the North Carolina state park system and Cary, Wake County, North Carolina in the United States. Located in Cary, it covers approximately 140-acre (0.57 km2) in the Research Triangle region of the state. The state owns 97-acre (0.39 km2) of the preserve, known as Hemlock Bluffs State Natural Area. The Town of Cary owns approximately 42-acre (0.17 km2) of the preserve, and the town leases the state's land for management. The preserve protects a population of Eastern Hemlock trees and other vegetation more typically found further west, in the Appalachian Mountains. The tall, north-facing bluffs of Swift Creek provide conditions similar enough to the mountains to have allowed the plant communities to have survived there since the last ice age.The Stevens Nature Center is a nature center located on Cary's portion of the preserve, which provides the preserve's core visitor facilities. It provides information about the natural history of the area and the plants and animals that live in the Nature Preserve.

White Oak Township (also designated Township 20) is one of twenty townships within Wake County, North Carolina, United States. As of the 2010 census, White Oak Township had a population of 72,894, an 88.3% increase over 2000. White Oak Township, occupying 52.9 square miles (137.1 km2) in western Wake County, includes the bulk of the town of Apex and portions of the town of Cary.

It is owned and operated by iHeartMedia, Inc., whose sister stations include WDCG, WTKK, WRDU, and W237BZ. The station was formerly licensed to Burlington, North Carolina, which is part of the Piedmont Triad market. However, the station changed its city of license to Cary after moving its transmitter from Terrell's Mountain in Chatham County to the former WLFL-TV analog tower in Apex, along with G105 in the spring of 2008. WNCB's studios are located at Clear Channel's Triangle facility in Raleigh. WNCB broadcasts in the HD Radio format.

Its studios are located on Smoketree Court in Raleigh's Highwoods Office Park and owned by iHeartMedia, along with WNCB, W237BZ, WRDU, and WTKK. The transmitter site for the station is in Apex. WDCG broadcasts in the HD Radio format.

Seagroves Farm Park is a public, urban park in Apex, North Carolina. It is located at 201 Parkfield Drive, approximately one and a half miles east of the Apex Historic District. The park has a pond with a fishing pier, shelter, playground, and walking trail. It also contains a large open play field.

Apex High School is a public high school in Apex, North Carolina, United States, and is part of the Wake County Public School System (WCPSS). It is on a 4x4 block scheduling system.

Clairmont Park is a public, urban park in Apex, North Carolina. Located at 801 E. Chatham St in Apex, the park is a short distance to the east of downtown Apex. The 1.5 acre park contains a picnic shelter and grill, a basketball court, and a youth playground (ages 5–12).

Apex () is a town in Wake County, North Carolina, United States. At its southern border, Apex encompasses the community of Friendship. In 1994, the downtown area was designated a historic district, and the Apex train depot, built in 1867, is designated a Wake County landmark. The depot location marks the highest point on the old Chatham Railroad, hence the town's name. The town motto is "The Peak of Good Living". In the late 19th century, a small community developed around the railroad station. The forests were cleared for farmland, much of which was dedicated to tobacco farming. Since Apex was near the state capital, it became a trading center. The railroad shipped products such as lumber, tar, and tobacco. The town was officially incorporated in 1873. By 1900, the town had a population of 349. As of the 2020 census, its population was 58,780.The population boom occurred primarily in the late 1990s. The Research Triangle Park, established in the 1960s, created strong demand for technology workers. This also drove population growth. Apex is currently the 18th-largest municipality in North Carolina.

Cary High School is one of six public high schools in Cary, North Carolina and is part of the Wake County Public School System. In 1907, Cary High School became the first state-funded public high school in North Carolina. It was selected as a Blue Ribbon School in 2002.

Cary Towne Center was an indoor shopping mall in Cary, North Carolina. It was anchored by Belk, Dillard's, Macy's, JCPenney, and Sears.

Feltonville is an unincorporated community in Wake County in the U.S. state of North Carolina. It is located north of Holly Springs, near where North Carolina Highway 540 meets North Carolina Highway 55, south of Apex.

Cary Parkway (SR 3977) is a major semi-circular route through Cary, North Carolina, United States. The parkway serves approximately as Cary's outer ring highway, though it does not form a complete circle like the inner ring, Maynard Road. Viewing a map of the town as a clock-face, Cary Parkway extends counterclockwise approximately from the 12 o'clock position in the north down to the 7 o'clock position in the southwest. At that point, the road departs from its circular path and heads south toward its terminus at Holly Springs Road.
