Fosses-la-Ville (French pronunciation: [fos la vil] ; Walloon: Fosse-li-Veye) is a city and municipality of Wallonia located in the province of Namur, Belgium. On January 1, 2018, Fosses-la-Ville had a total population of 10,449. The total area is 63.24 km2 which gives a population density of 165 inhabitants per km2. The municipality consists of the following districts: Aisemont, Fosses, Le Roux, Sart-Eustache, Sart-Saint-Laurent, and Vitrival.

Sart-Saint-Laurent (Walloon: Li Sårt-Sint-Lorint) is a village of Wallonia and a district of the municipality Fosses-la-Ville, located in the province of Namur, Belgium. The village has a few streets of houses and is mostly surrounded by small farms and forests. The closest train station to the village is that of Floreffe, from there it is only a short ride into Namur. Many high school aged students from the village attend schools in and around Namur. University students sometimes study in nearby Namur, but many rural Belgians will prefer to study in Brussels and other parts of the country while renting a kot (a small flat). Recently, a commercial center has developed in Sart-Saint-Laurent, as the larger Fosses-la-Ville, has a dearth of shopping options.Each year in the village, participants perform Saint Lawrence March (la Marche de Saint-Laurent), a folkloric tradition in which participants bless their weapon by soaking the butt of their weapon, or the pole of the flag they will carry in the fountain of Saint Lawrence, a tradition since 1963. Respectively, the village of Saint-Pierre (Saint Peter) performs the march of Saint Laurent.

The Orneau (French pronunciation: [ɔʁno]; Walloon: Ôrnô) is a river in Belgium. It is a tributary of the Sambre and therefore sub-tributary of the Meuse. The Orneau flows from north to south, through the province of Namur, and after a journey of about 25 kilometres (16 mi), it flows into the Sambre at Jemeppe-sur-Sambre. The river is known for its valley, panoramic views and nearby charming villages. Several walkable trails exist near the river.

Floreffe Abbey (French: Abbaye de Floreffe) is a former Premonstratensian monastery, the second of the order to be founded, situated on the Sambre at Floreffe, about 11 km (6.8 mi) south-west of Namur, Wallonia, Belgium.

Jemeppe-sur-Sambre (French: [ʒəmɛp syʁ sɑ̃bʁ]; Walloon: Djimepe-so-Sambe) is a municipality of Wallonia located in the province of Namur, Belgium. On 1 January 2006, the municipality had 17,990 inhabitants. The total area is 46.80 km2 (18.07 mi2), giving a population density of 384 inhabitants per km2. The municipality consists of the districts of: Balâtre, Ham-sur-Sambre, Jemeppe-sur-Sambre, Mornimont, Moustier-sur-Sambre, Onoz, Saint-Martin (including the hamlet of Villeret), and Spy. The Spy Cave, among the most significant Paleolithic sites in Europe, is located in the municipality. The medieval Balâtre Castle is in the village of Balâtre, and Mielmont Castle is in Onoz.

Spy (Walloon: Spî) is a village of Wallonia and a district of the municipality of Jemeppe-sur-Sambre, located in the province of Namur, Belgium. Here in 1886, in the Grotte de Spy or the Betche aux Roches cavern, Maximin Lohest and Marcel de Puydt found two nearly perfect Neanderthal skeletons (man and woman) at the depth of 16 feet (4.9 m), with numerous implements of the Mousterian type. Recently, Yves Saquet found a third skeleton of the same age.

Falisolle (French pronunciation: [falizɔl]; Walloon: Farjole) is a village of Wallonia and a district of the municipality of Sambreville, located in the province of Namur, Belgium and located a few kilometers south of Sambre. It was a community in its own right before the municipal mergers in 1977. The village covers an area of 4.83 square kilometers and is officially 115.45 m above sea level. As of 1999 it had a population of 3,448.

Spy Cave (French: Grotte de Spy) is located in Wallonia near Spy in the municipality of Jemeppe-sur-Sambre, Namur Province, Belgium above the left bank of the Orneau River. Classified as a premier Heritage site of the Walloon Region, the location ranks among the most significant paleolithic sites in Europe. The cave consists of numerous small chambers and corridors.

Floreffe (French pronunciation: [flɔ.ʁɛf]; Walloon: Florefe) is a municipality of Wallonia located in the province of Namur, Belgium. On 1 January 2012 the municipality had 7,883 inhabitants. The total area is 38.89 km2, giving a population density of 203 inhabitants per km2. The municipality consists of the following districts: Floreffe, Floriffoux, Franière, and Soye. In 1977, the newly expanded (thus newly adjoining) municipality of Profondeville was given Lakisse, an area in the southeast of the original Floreffe. Floreffe is best known as the location of Floreffe Abbey, founded in the 12th century and suppressed during the French Revolution.

The 1935 UCI Road World Championships was the fifteenth edition of the UCI Road World Championships. The championship took place in Floreffe, Belgium on Sunday 18 August 1935. The amateurs had to complete twelve laps on the 13.5 kilometer course. There were 38 participants. The professionals started with 39 riders. They had to complete sixteen laps, 216 kilometers in total. In the same period, the 1935 UCI Track Cycling World Championships was organized in the Heysel Stadium in Brussels.

Suarlée (French pronunciation: [sɥaʁle]; Walloon: Swarlêye) is a sub-municipality of the city of Namur located in the province of Namur, Wallonia, Belgium. It was a separate municipality until 1977. On 1 January 1977, it was merged into Namur.

Auvelais (Walloon: Åvlè) is a town of Wallonia and a district of the municipality of Sambreville, located in the province of Namur, Belgium. The town lies in a meander of the River Sambre. The town of Auvelais was formed in 1809 from the merger of the villages of Auvelais-la-Comté and Auvelais-le-Voisin. In 1977, as part of the post-1974 fusion of the Belgian municipalities, Auvelais became part of the newly created municipality of Sambreville, serving as the administrative centre.
