Maulana Bhasani Hockey Stadium is a field hockey stadium located in Dhaka, Bangladesh. It is the first hockey stadium in Bangladesh and also the headquarters of Bangladesh Hockey Federation.

Gulistan is a very busy street in Dhaka, Bangladesh. It means 'Flower Garden' in Persian, which lead to the speculation that in medieval times there might be prominent flower gardens. Several important streets are connected to Gulistan which makes it busy and crowded. The street is full of roadside shops. Thousands of people visit this place for their daily needs. The road is always occupied with traffic and passersby. One of the oldest transports of Dhaka City ‘Tom Tom’ can be seen in this street. There is a shrine right at the middle of the road. It is called “Golap Shah’s Shrine”. Thousands of people show their devotion to this shrine everyday and make donations so that their desire can be fulfilled.There is one major bus stand situated in Gulistan, called the Gulistan (Fulbaria) Bus Station. Most of the buses here are public and the number of buses is very few according to the number of passengers. People often get on top of the bus as there are no longer spaces inside the bus. Some people can be seen hanging at the doorways. Banga (or Bango) Bazar is the prime shopping place here. New and fashionable clothes can be found here with reasonable price. There are hundreds of shops inside the place. The narrow pathways make it hard to roam inside the vicinity. The place is so congested and hot that it is hard to stay long time inside the complex. There used to be a Cinema complex (‘Gulistan Cinema Hall’) here which was one of the oldest architectural monuments. Even though the design was not eye catching and the structure was bizarre, it was one of the modern buildings in Dhaka city.The 11-km-long Gulistan–Jatrabari Flyover was opened in October 2013 to ease traffic jams and reduce travel time from the usual one hour to just five minutes. Osmani Uddyan park, Dhaka South City Corporation, Dhaka GPO, Bangabandhu National Stadium, Baitul Mukarram and many other important infrastructures are very close to this street.

Bangabandhu Avenue (Bengali: বঙ্গবন্ধু এভিনিউ) is an urban road situated in Gulistan, Dhaka. Its former name is Jinnah Avenue. central office of Bangladesh Awami League is situated in Bangabandhu Avenue. The Dhaka grenade attack of 2004 happened in Bangabandhu Avenue.

Bangladesh Kabaddi Stadium (also knows as National Kabaddi Stadium) is a stadium built in 2010 exclusive for hosting kabaddi competitions. It is located next to the Shaheed Nur Hossain National Volleyball Stadium inside the Bangabandhu National Stadium Complex in Paltan, Dhaka. Kabaddi league and various competitions are organized here. Sports facilities are also built and under the supervision of the National Sports Council. The headquarter of Bangladesh Kabaddi Federation is located here. The organization also maintains the stadium.In addition to the central Kabaddi court area, offices, there are spectator seating galleries, gymnasiums for players, and separate accommodation for male and female players. The stadium is used for local kabaddi leagues, the Bangladesh national kabaddi men's and women's teams, various national team practices and local competitions.

The National Roller Skating Complex is a facility for roller skating practice and competition in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh. It is located next to the National Stadium, Dhaka the national and main stadium of Bangladesh. It is the first roller skating complex in the history of Bangladesh. Among the SAARC countries, only India and Sri Lanka had roller skating complexes before. The sports complex was inaugurated by the then Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina on 23 February 2017. The facility was built in 2017 at a cost of 116.1 million taka.

The Outer Stadium Ground is a major public sports venue in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh. It is a multi-use stadium with a capacity of 10,000.

Noor Hossain Square, commonly known as Zero Point, is a square situated in Gulistan, Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Bangabandhu National Stadium (Bengali: বঙ্গবন্ধু জাতীয় স্টেডিয়াম), also known as Dhaka Stadium, and formerly known as Dacca Stadium, is the national stadium and a multipurpose sports arena in Dhaka, Bangladesh. It is located in the Motijheel area in the heart of the city. Since 2005 the stadium has been home to both Bangladesh national football team and Bangladesh women's national football team. The Bangabandhu National Stadium is one of the main football venues in Dhaka, together with the 25,000 capacity Bir Shreshtha Mustafa Kamal Stadium. The Bangabandhu Stadium, is well known for hosting an international friendly between Argentina and Nigeria in 2011.The stadium has been renovated several times, most recently for the opening ceremony of the 2011 Cricket World Cup. It had a capacity close to 55,000 before the most recent renovation, but with a new capacity of 36,000 it is still the largest stadium in Bangladesh. Its current name was given to honour Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the father of the nation, also known as "Bangabandhu" or "Friend of Bengal".

On 7 March 2023, an explosion happened in a market in Dhaka, Bangladesh killing at least 17 people while more than 140 were injured. The explosion took place at around 5:00 p.m local time in a busy market building in Siddiq Bazaar in Old Dhaka.

The Postal Museum is a museum specialising in philately, located in the General Post Office, Dhaka, Bangladesh.The Postal Museum was inaugurated in 1985 but it was not so popular.

Dhaka Nagar Bhaban, completed 1995, is a building that houses the government of the city of Dhaka, Bangladesh. It is home to the mayor's office and the meeting chambers and offices of the Dhaka City Corporation. The building is situated behind the Dhaka University campus.

Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) is one of the two municipal corporations in Dhaka created when the former Dhaka City Corporation (first declared in 1864) was divided into two by the Local Government (City Corporation) Amendment Bill 2011 on 29 November 2011, passed in the Parliament of Bangladesh, following the President's approval. Dhaka South has a long history, including that of European arrival and colonization. Dhaka South was the center of the events which eventually led to the Bangladesh Liberation War.
