Magadino

Magadino-Vira railway station (Italian: Stazione di Magadino-Vira) is a railway station in the municipality of Gambarogno, in the Swiss canton of Ticino. It is an intermediate stop on the standard gauge Cadenazzo–Luino line of Swiss Federal Railways.

The Verzasca is a 30-kilometre (19 mi) long Swiss Alpine river originating at Pizzo Barone and flowing into Lake Maggiore. It is known for its clear turquoise water and vibrant colored rocks, as well as its treacherous currents. The Verzasca Dam is a few kilometers upriver from Lake Maggiore.

The Bolle di Magadino is a 1500-ha Swiss natural reserve. It is located by the confluence of the Ticino with Lake Maggiore. It is a biotope where birds nest and stop during migrations.
