Moorabool () is a bounded rural locality of the City of Greater Geelong local government area in Victoria, Australia.

Moorabool is a closed railway station on the Geelong–Ballarat railway line, in the locality of Moorabool, Victoria, Australia. Until 1864 it was called Steiglitz Road. The station building was constructed for the Victorian Railways in 1861, by a private contractor, and comprises a single-storey, gable-roofed, bluestone station building, with an attached two-storey residence. The station was closed to all traffic on 21 December 1976, but is still passed by The Overland and freight trains. The station building was sold in 1977 and currently serves as a private residence. The building is listed on the Victorian Heritage Register and the Register of the National Estate. It is located about 1.6 km east of another heritage railway structure, the Moorabool Viaduct.

Chanel College was a Roman Catholic school for boys in Geelong, Victoria, Australia. Founded in 1958, it closed in 1999. The site was later purchased by the Geelong Baptist College.

Geelong Baptist College is a private, co-educational, Baptist college located in Geelong, Victoria, Australia. It was founded in 2002, on the site of the former Chanel College, and provides education for students from years Prep to 12. Located at Lovely Banks, near Geelong, the college has a view over Corio Bay and the northern suburbs of Geelong. The current Primary Principal is josef Knol, who took over from Stuart patch at the end of 2007. Neil Wetmore became the college's Secondary Principal at the beginning of 2014. The school currently has around 130 students. The School currently has 2 campuses the Dallas campus and the angus campus A Year 9 program named "The Edge" commenced at the start of term 3 in 2009, offering camps and other experiences for the students.The college participates in inter-school sports competitions including netball, football and soccer. Geelong Baptist College soccer team was solid between 2009 - 2012, winning WCCSA in 2009 with ease scoring 16 goals and only conceding 3 goals in 5 games, beating Macedon Grammar 9–0 in one of the group games, which one of the goals was scored from Geelong's own half from striker mike coxlong. In that season the team had a 0–0 away draw with local powerhouse St Joseph's College, Geelong and also beating Geelong Grammar 1-0 and in friendly match. The all-time top goal scorer is Paul Zimonyi, with 17 goals in 18 matches. In May 2011, Melbourne City FC, known then as Melbourne Heart, visited Geelong Baptist College to run a soccer clinic for the whole school.

Lovely Banks is a northern suburb of Geelong, Victoria, Australia. Once an agricultural and rural area, the suburb is quickly developing into a residential area adjoining the Geelong suburbs of Bell Park, Corio and Norlane. At the 2016 census Lovely Banks had a population of 2,301.The origin of the name is thought to be descriptive of the area. The land to the west rises quite quickly from 30 to 100 metres above sea level. It provides an expansive view of Geelong and Corio Bay. The Post Office, opened around 1902 named as Lovely Banks Reservoir, was renamed Lovely Banks around 1907 and closed in 1960.Cowies Creek Rail Bridge No. 1, a bridge on the Geelong-Ballarat railway line between Lovely Banks and Bell Post Hill, is listed on the Victorian Heritage Register.

Cowies Creek is a creek flowing through the northern suburbs of Geelong, Victoria, Australia. It rises in wetlands in Moorabool and debouches at Corio Quay, Corio Bay. After 1909, the Geelong Harbour Trust excavated the mouth of Cowies Creek to create Corio Quay.

The St. John the Baptist Macedonian Orthodox Church (Macedonian: Македонска Православна Црква "Св. Јован Крстител", Makedonska Pravoslavna Crkva "Sv. Jovan Krstitel") is a Macedonian Orthodox church on the outskirts of Batesford, near Geelong, Victoria, Australia. Construction of the church began in 1971 and it was consecrated in 1978.

Cowies Creek Rail Bridge No. 1 is a bridge in Victoria, Australia, on the Geelong-Ballarat rail line in the outer Geelong suburb of Bell Post Hill. Constructed of bluestone in 1860 to cross both Cowies Creek and a roadway, the structure is listed in the Victorian Heritage Register.

Batesford is a town located approximately 10 kilometres west of Geelong and 67 kilometres south-west of the state capital, Melbourne. It is located on the banks of the Moorabool River and on the Midland Highway. The town is divided between the City of Greater Geelong and Golden Plains Shire.

Covenant College, formerly known as Geelong Christian School, is a Christian parent-controlled school in Bell Post Hill, Victoria.Established in 1979, the school's programs are academic. The college owns a farm and conducts agricultural and land management classes. In 2019, Covenant College was named the Schools that Excel non-government school winner for regional and rural Victoria.

The Shire of Corio was a local government area located between Geelong and Werribee, about 60 kilometres (37 mi) southwest of Melbourne, the state capital of Victoria, Australia. The shire, which included all of Geelong's northern suburbs, covered an area of 704.66 square kilometres (272.1 sq mi), and existed from 1861 until 1993.

Elcho Park is a soccer facility located on Gibbons Road in Lara, Victoria, a northern suburb of Geelong. It is owned privately by the Australian Croatian Soccer Association Geelong. The tenants of the facility are National Premier Leagues Victoria side North Geelong Warriors FC and Geelong Regional Football Association based club Elcho Park Cardinals FC. North Geelong Warriors played their first season out of Elcho Park in 1986. The first competitive league game at the venue was a 3–3 draw between North Geelong and Essendon City on 29 March 1986. The main grandstand, which is situated between the clubrooms and the pitch, seats about 200 people. The total capacity of the facility is much larger, with an abundance of standing room all around the main pitch. Added to the main pitch, there is also a second pitch and over 100 parking spaces inside the facility. Both of the pitches are grass surfaces. In 2015, it was announced that the facility would be receiving $283,000 in council and state funding to upgrade the change rooms. It was the first time the privately owned facility had been granted public funds.
