Oggiono borders the following municipalities: Annone di Brianza, Dolzago, Ello, Galbiate, Molteno and Sirone. Lago di Annone is located on its borders. It was the eponymous birthplace of the renaissance painter Marco d'Oggiono, a chief pupil of Leonardo da Vinci.
