Mergentheim Palace (Deutschordensschloss von Mergentheim) is a historic building located in Bad Mergentheim, Germany. The palace was first a castle, built in the early Middle Ages as the seat of the Taubergau, but then became a Teutonic possession in 1219, and then seat of the Mergentheim Commandery. The castle became the residence of the Grand Master of the Teutonic Order in 1527 and remained the headquarters of the Order until 1809.

The Tauber Valley Cycleway (German: Taubertalradweg), official name in German: Liebliches Taubertal (der Klassiker), in English Lovely Tauber Valley (the Classic), also Charming Tauber Valley (the Classic), is a German bicycle path running about 101 km along the River Tauber in Franconia, Germany. The cycleway runs from Rothenburg ob der Tauber via Bad Mergentheim and Tauberbischofsheim to Wertheim at the confluence of the Tauber and the Main. The path runs along its whole length through the valley of the Tauber and has only gentle ascents. At both ends and along the route there are railway stations. The General German Bicycle Club (ADFC) rated the trail five stars in 2009, the second path in Germany to receive this award after Main Cycleway.

The Wildpark Bad Mergentheim is a zoo that was founded in 1973. The 35-hectare (86-acre) park is located on a hill in the forest about 1.5 km (0.93 mi) southeast of Bad Mergentheim.The park features a variety of wild fauna indigenous to the region, as well as domesticated animals such as cattle, goats, and horses.

Along with the Isenheim Altarpiece, it is considered one of Grünewald's main works.

Lauda-Königshofen is a town in the Main-Tauber district in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It is situated on the river Tauber, 7 km southeast of Tauberbischofsheim, and 30 km southwest of Würzburg. Most of the roughly 300 houses in the traditional village of Königshofen date to between the 16th century and mid-19th century, and it is known for the 500+ year-old Königshöfer Messe, an annual festival that attracts 150,000 people over the 10-day festival. Lauda station is at a junction of the Franconia Railway and the Tauber Valley Railway.
