Vitacura

Municipal de Vitacura Airport (ICAO: SCLC) is a general aviation airport in Vitacura, a northern suburb of the Santiago Metropolitan Region of Chile. The airport is in a narrow slot between a major city street in Vitacura and a parallel freeway. Runway 25 has an additional 200 metres (660 ft) displaced threshold. There is nearby mountainous terrain northwest through northeast.

Lycée Français Antoine-de-Saint-Exupéry de Santiago (LAFASE) is a French international school in Vitacura and in Colina, both in Greater Santiago.The school serves levels maternelle (preschool) through lycée (senior high school). It opened on 5 September 1959. The Chamisero campus had the first stone laid in May 2012. The campus officially opened on May 21, 2013 although the maternelle opened in February of that year.

Deutsche Schule Santiago (DS; Spanish: Colegio Alemán de Santiago) is a German international school in Santiago. Years 7 through 12 and the school administration are at the Las Condes campus. Manquehue is an underground metro station on the Line 1 of the Santiago Metro, in Santiago, Chile. It is part of the 3.8 kilometres (2.4 mi) eastern extension of the Line 1. The station was opened on 7 January 2010 as part of the extension of the line from Escuela Militar to Los Dominicos,The station consists of a platform tunnel and three transepts containing a mezzanine each, which are connected by a bridge that is suspended from the tunnel ceiling by tie rods. Each mezzanine is accessed via two entrances on both sides of Apoquindo Avenue.

The 1647 Santiago earthquake struck Santiago, Chile on the night of 13 May (22:30 local time, 02:30 UTC on 14 May) and is said to have brought virtually every building in the city to the ground. The earthquake was felt throughout the so-called Captaincy General of Chile, an administrative territory of the Spanish Empire. The maximum felt intensity was XI (Extreme) on the Mercalli intensity scale and there were about a thousand casualties.

The Library of the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean was established in 1948 as part of the creation of the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean; this coincided with the inauguration of the Economic Commission for Latin America by the United Nations, in support of its mandate in the region. The Library has four branches: the Hernán Santa Cruz Library in Santiago, the Centro de Recursos de Información y Distribución de Documentos in México D.F., the Raúl Prebisch Library in Brasilia and the Caribbean Knowledge Management Centre in Port of Spain. These four form the ECLAC Library. The library contains 109,000 books, 1,400 scientific journals and 44,200 digital documents.

The Bicentenario Park (Spanish: Parque Bicentenario, literally "Bicentennial Park"), is one of the largest parks of the city of Santiago, Chile.
