Las Condes is a commune of Chile located in Santiago Province, Santiago Metropolitan Region. The area is inhabited primarily by upper-mid- to high income families, and known in the Chilean collective consciousness as home to the country's economic elite. Most of Las Condes' commercial activity is situated along Apoquindo Avenue, which is called colloquially "Sanhattan". It belongs to the Northeastern zone of Santiago de Chile.

Santiago Province (Spanish: Provincia de Santiago) is one of the six provinces of the Santiago Metropolitan Region (RM) of central Chile. It encompasses the majority of the population of that region, including 31 of the 36 communities of Greater Santiago. The province spans 2,030.30 km (1,262 mi).

Los Dominicos is a metro station on Line 1 of the Santiago Metro in Santiago, Chile, and is also the eastern terminal of this line. The station was inaugurated on 7 January 2010 as part of the extension of the line from Escuela Militar to Los Dominicos, and is located at the end of Avenida Apoquindo (Apoquindo Avenue) at the junction with Camino El Alba (El Alba Road) in the municipality of Las Condes. It is located under Los Dominicos Park and near a supermarket, a filling station and an office of the Civil Registry and Identification Service of Chile. The station has a surface area of 5,390 square metres or 58,017 square feet.Los Dominicos station is an important transport connection point between the Santiago municipalities of Las Condes, Vitacura, La Reina and Lo Barnechea. It also provides public transportation access to the craft market “Pueblito de los Dominicos” (Los Dominicos Village) and the San Vicente Ferrer church, both popular touristic attractions, as well as the Los Dominicos fresh food market, located in Los Dominicos Park.

Manquehue is an underground metro station on the Line 1 of the Santiago Metro, in Santiago, Chile. It is part of the 3.8 kilometres (2.4 mi) eastern extension of the Line 1. The station was opened on 7 January 2010 as part of the extension of the line from Escuela Militar to Los Dominicos,The station consists of a platform tunnel and three transepts containing a mezzanine each, which are connected by a bridge that is suspended from the tunnel ceiling by tie rods. Each mezzanine is accessed via two entrances on both sides of Apoquindo Avenue.

Los Dominicos Park is a public park located at the end of Avenida Apoquindo (Apoquindo Avenue) in Santiago, Chile. The park is an access point for the Santiago municipalities of Las Condes, Vitacura and Lo Barnechea and also provides access to some parts of the municipality of La Reina. It is the site of a permanent crafts market at Los Dominicos Village, a popular tourist destination, as well as a regular local food market and Los Dominicos metro station, part of the Santiago Metro network.

Pueblito Los Dominicos (Los Dominicos Village) is a crafts market and popular tourist shopping destination in a heritage zone of Santiago, Chile. It is located at the end of Avenida Apoquindo in Los Dominicos Park, to the side of San Vicente Ferrer Church (also known as Los Dominicos Church).

Deutsche Schule Santiago (DS; Spanish: Colegio Alemán de Santiago) is a German international school in Santiago. Years 7 through 12 and the school administration are at the Las Condes campus. Years one through six are at the Vitacura Campus. Preschool classes are held at the Cerro Colorado campus in Las Condes.The first classes were held on March 3, 1891.

The National Astronomical Observatory of Chile (Spanish: Observatorio Astronómico Nacional de Chile - OAN) is an astronomical observatory owned and operated by the Department of Astronomy of the University of Chile (UCh). It is located on Cerro Calán, a hill in the commune of Las Condes. The commune is an eastern suburb of Santiago located in Santiago Province of the Santiago Metropolitan Region. OAN was founded in 1852 and became a part of UCh in 1927. The facility on Cerro Calán was completed in 1962.

On 8 September 2014, a fire extinguisher bomb exploded in the Escuela Militar metro station in Santiago, Chile, injuring 14 people, several seriously. Though no group or individual has claimed responsibility, the attacks have been attributed to the Chilean Anarchist group, Conspiracy of Cells of Fire.
