The Nuraghe Antigori is a nuragic complex dating back to the second millennium BC. It's located in the municipality of Sarroch, in the Metropolitan City of Cagliari. The site was built on a rocky peak called Antigori, on which the remains of several towers are scattered, most of which are in poor state of preservation; the only visitable one in its interior is the tower C, with the classic tholos coperture. A small, almost intact, wall and the foundations of the huts that formed a small village are still observable. The complex was excavated in 1982 by Maria Luisa Ferrarese Ceruti and in 1994 by Roberta Relli. The excavations returned various nuragic and Mycenaean pottery (from Argolis, Crete, and Cyprus) dating back to the 14th-13th and 13th-12th century BC, a testimony of the important exchanges that took place between the Nuragic civilization and the Mycenaean civilization.

The nuraghe Serbissi is a nuragic complex dating back to 18th-10th century BC. It is located in the municipality of Osini in Ogliastra, Italy. The site is located on a limestone plateau between the towns of Osini and Gairo. The nuragic complex, built over a cave with two entrances, consists of a central tower of 6.3m high flanked by three smaller towers, around which are placed 8 circular huts. Access to the towers is through a small courtyard. The complex was used from the Early Bronze Age to the Late Bronze Age.

CRS4 is a private research center, but its shareholder is a regional agency: Sardegna Ricerche. The center, initially headed by the Nobel Prize in Physics Carlo Rubbia (1990 to 1999), has had the following Presidents: Nicola Cabibbo (2000 to 2003), Carlo Rubbia (2003 to 2006), Paolo Zanella (2006 to 2014), Luigi Filippini (2014 to 2017), Annalisa Bonfiglio (2017 to 2020). The Stagno di Santa Gilla, or Stagno di Cagliari (literally ‘Pool of Cagliari’), is a coastal lagoon at the mouths of the rivers Cixerri and Mannu near Cagliari, on the Golfo degli Angeli in southern Sardinia, Italy. It has been designated as a wetland site of international importance under the Ramsar Convention since 1976 and is ranked among the most important of such areas in the European Union.

Nora (Ancient Greek: Νῶρα) (Nuras in the mediaeval Sardinian language) is an ancient pre-Roman and Roman town on a peninsula near Pula, near to Cagliari in Sardinia.

The Cixerri (Sardinian pronunciation: [tʃiˈʒeri]) is an Italian river in southern Sardinia province of Cagliari. It springs from Monte Croccoriga, at 313 metres (1,027 ft) above sea level, in the province of South Sardinia. The river flows into a lake north of Iglesias and then exits the lake and flows eastward. The river is joined by a tributary north of Villamassargia and south of Musei before entering the province of Cagliari. The river flows past Siliqua and is joined by another tributary from the south. Finally, the river enters the Stagno di Cagliari close to the mouth of the Flumini Mannu near Assemini.

The Flumini Mannu is a river in southern Sardinia, Italy. Its springs are located in the hills east of Sardara. It flows into the Stagno di Cagliari after a course of 42.14 kilometres (26.18 mi). The river's main tributaries are the Riu Bellu and the Rio Sitzerri, which for most of the basin of Monte Linas massif's waters.

Santa Maria is a medieval church in the comune of Uta, Sardinia, Italy. The exact date of construction is unknown, although it is generally assigned to the mid-12th century by monks from the Abbey of St. Victor in Marseille, perhaps on the ruins of a pre-existing structure. It is an example of Provençal and Tuscan Romanesque styles' influence on the local medieval architecture (at the time the area was under the influence of the Republic of Pisa). The oldest known mention of the church is in a 1363 document, by which king Peter IV of Aragon switched it from the Knights Hospitaller to the Order of Sant Jordi d'Alfama. The edifice was later held by the Franciscans, who, in the late 16th century, gave it to the archdiocese of Cagliari.

Assemini (Italian: [asˈsɛːmini]; Sardinian: Assèmini [aˈsemini]) is a comune (municipality) in the Metropolitan City of Cagliari in the Italian region Sardinia, located about 12 kilometres (7 mi) northwest of Cagliari in the plain of the Cixerri, Flumini Mannu and Sa Nuxedda rivers. It includes notable forest area which are part of the Sulcis Regional Park. It has also a long tradition in the production of ceramics, lasting from the Carthaginian domination. Assemini is part of the Cagliari metropolitan area and borders the following municipalities: Cagliari, Capoterra, Decimomannu, Elmas, Nuxis, San Sperate, Santadi, Sarroch, Sestu, Siliqua, Uta, Villa San Pietro.
