Cherrystone Creek

Little Cherrystone Creek is a 4.41 mi (7.10 km) long 2nd order tributary to Cherrystone Creek in Pittsylvania County, Virginia. This is the only stream of this name in the United States.

White Oak Mountain Wildlife Management Area is a 2,748-acre (11.12 km2) Wildlife Management Area (WMA) in Pittsylvania County, Virginia, United States. More a plateau than a mountain, the area's topography contains elevations ranging from approximately 550 to 900 feet (170 to 270 m) above sea level. The property is nearly two-thirds forest, with timber types including pines and various examples of hardwoods, such as several species of oak. Forest management, annual and perennial plantings, and controlled burns are used to enhance wildlife habitat within the area. The land is dotted with ponds ranging in size from one to five acres (4,000 to 20,200 m2), and its northwest boundary is formed by the Banister River.White Oak Mountain WMA is owned and maintained by the Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries. The area is open to the public for hunting, trapping, fishing, hiking, horseback riding, and primitive camping. A shooting range is available for sighting-in firearms. Access for persons 17 years of age or older requires a valid hunting or fishing permit, or a WMA access permit.

Little Cherrystone, also known as Moses House and Wooding House, is a historic home located near Chatham, Pittsylvania County, Virginia. The main house was built in several sections and consists of two major building units plus at least two minor sections. The oldest section is a one-story frame structure in two sections. It is connected by a two-story frame hyphen to a two-story, Federal style brick structure built about 1800. It has a gable roof and exterior end chimney.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1969.

The district includes 188 contributing buildings, 2 contributing sites, and 1 contributing object in the central business district of the town of Chatham. The district includes a variety of government, commercial, residential, religious and educational buildings and structures dating from the early-19th century to the mid-20th century. At the center of the district is the separately listed Pittsylvania County Courthouse.
