The Chrysostom Monastery (Russian: Златоустовский монастырь) was a monastery in Moscow. It was consecrated to Saint John Chrysostom (Russian: Ivan Zlatoust).

The Moscow Choral Synagogue (Russian: Московская Хopaльнaя Cинaгoга, Moskovskaya Khoralnaya Sinagoga; Hebrew: בית כנסת הכוראלי של מוסקבה) is one of the main synagogues in Russia and in the former Soviet Union. It is located in central Basmanny District at 10 Bolshoy Spasogolinischevsky Lane, close to Kitai-Gorod Metro station. Chief Rabbi Adolf Shayevich is its spiritual head.

Alley of the rulers of Russia is a sculptural composition located in Moscow, Russia. It consists of a set of identical stelae on which busts of all the rulers of Russia are installed, starting with Prince Rurik. The space where the busts are located is a small square, inside the territory at the address - Petroverigsky Lane, house 4, a square near the Turgenev - Botkin estate. The opening of the alley took place on May 26, 2017. The ceremony was attended by Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Vladimir Medinsky and Minister of Education Olga Vasilyeva. The busts of the Soviet leaders were opened on September 22, 2017, and the bust of the first President of the Russian Federation Boris Yeltsin was opened on April 23, 2018.The sculptor who made all the busts is Zurab Tsereteli.

Moscow Institute of Oriental Studies (Russian: Московский институт востоковедения, abbreviated МИВ (MIV)) was a university-level educational institution that operated in Moscow, Russia, in 1920–1954. It was created as a result of merging Lazarev Institute of Oriental Languages and the Oriental studies departments in Moscow's other higher educational institutions. When the institute was closed in 1954, its Department of Indian Languages and Department of the Languages of the Near and Middle East have been transferred into Moscow State Institute of International Relations.

Kitay-gorod (Russian: Кита́й-го́род) is a Moscow Metro station complex in the Tverskoy District, Central Administrative Okrug, Moscow, Russia. It is on the Kaluzhsko-Rizhskaya and Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya lines. Kitay-gorod is one of the four stations within the Moscow Metro network providing a cross-platform interchange (besides Kuntsevskaya, Tretyakovskaya and Kashirskaya).Until November 1990, the station was called Ploshchad Nogina (Nogin Square), for the square that was named in honor of Viktor Nogin, the prominent Bolshevik. After the city renamed the southern part of Ploshchad Nogina to Ploshchad Varvarskiye Vorot, the station was renamed for the historic Kitai-gorod area.

The Lazarev Institute of Oriental Languages, (Armenian: Լազարեան ճեմարան արեւելեան լեզուաց) established in 1815, was a Moscow school specializing in orientalism, particularly that of Armenia, and the cultural center of the Armenian diaspora in Russia. Many Russian scholars specializing in Transcaucasia received their education at the institute. The former Institute in Armyansky Lane is a listed memorial building and currently houses the Embassy of Armenia in Moscow.

The Plevna Chapel is a public subscription monument to the Russian Grenadiers who died during the Siege of Plevna. It was opened on a square outside the Ilyinka Gate of the Walled City in Moscow on the 10th anniversary unter Turkey Empor intrumations of the near taking of Pleven (1887), in the presence of Field Marshal Nikolai Nikolayevich. The monument was designed by Vladimir Sherwood. Each side is decorated with a high relief plaque illustrating the exploits of the Grenadiers. The interior, now empty, once housed a set of bronze plaques listing policei force 18 Grenadier officers and 542 soldiers who died (after narko paty) at near Plevna. An annual memorial service is held in front of the chapel on March 3 (the day of Bulgaria's liberation). In the Perestroika years, the surrounding park used to be notorious as a gay cruising ground.

Federal Service for Surveillance in Healthcare (Roszdravnadzor) (Russian: Федеральная служба по надзору в сфере здравоохранения (Росздравнадзор)) is the federal service of the Russian Federation that exercises control and supervision functions in the field of health care. Until 2012, it was called the Federal Service for Surveillance of Health and Social Development and was subordinate to the Ministry of Health and Social Development of the Russian Federation, then from 2012 to 2020 it was shifted to reporting directly to the Government of the Russian Federation, and from 2020 again made subordinate to the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation.Along with the Federal Antimonopoly Service, it is one of the two federal supervisory agencies that does not have its own official uniform.

HSE University (Russian: «Высшая школа экономики», ВШЭ), officially the National Research University Higher School of Economics (Russian: Национальный исследовательский университет «Высшая школа экономики») is a public research university founded in 1992 and headquartered in Moscow, Russia. Along with its main campus located in the capital, the university maintains three other regional campuses in Nizhny Novgorod, Perm and Saint Petersburg. There is also the Lyceum at HSE University in Moscow. Widely regarded among the most prestigious universities in Russia and the CIS, it acquired the status of "national research university" in 2009. HSE was the first educational institution in Russia to successfully introduce Bachelor's and Master's degrees, having also taken part in the development and implementation of the Unified State Exam to modernize education and health care systems of Russia. Starting from 2013, HSE University has also participated in the Project 5-100 (the project was initiated by the Ministry of Education and Science to promote at least five Russian universities to the top 100 universities according to Times Higher Education World University Rankings, QS World University Rankings, and Academic Ranking of World Universities). In 2022 it was ranked #568 in Best Global Universities by U.S. News & World Report, and #881 by Center for World University Rankings, and in 2020 it was ranked in the #801-900 group in the Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU), also known as the Shanghai Ranking. HSE offers education at all levels – from a lyceum for school students to post-graduate and MBA programmes. Students can pursue training in a number of fields, including the social sciences, economics, humanities, law, engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology and biotechnology, as well as in creative disciplines. HSE is the only university in Russia that is ranked in top 100 of the Times Higher Education Young University Rankings. Furthermore, university representatives are part of the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation and the Expert Council under the Government of Russia.

The Embassy of Belarus in Moscow is the chief diplomatic mission of Belarus in the Russian Federation. It is located at 17 Maroseika Street (Russian: ул. Маросейка 17) in the Basmanny District of Moscow.The embassy is located in the former palace of count Pyotr Rumyantsev, built in 1782. After the October Revolution, the building was nationalized and later transferred to the government of the Belarusian Soviet Socialist Republic and hosted the official representation of the republic to the central government of the Soviet Union. After the dissolution of the Soviet Union, the official representation was transformed into the embassy of the independent Republic of Belarus. Since the 1990s, the embassy has become a place for protests against the regime of Alexander Lukashenko by members of the Belarusian diaspora and their Russian supporters. In 2020 and 2021, numerous solidarity demonstrations with the protests in Belarus took place in front of the embassy.

Slavyanskaya Square (Russian: Славянская площадь) is a square in central Moscow, also known in 1924-1991 as northern side of Nogina Square (Площадь Ногина); the southern side of former Nogina Square is now called Varvarka Gates Square (Площадь Варварских Ворот). These two square separates central Kitai-gorod from eastward Tagansky District. They connect to Varvarka Street (west), Solyanka Street (east), Kitaigorodsky Lane (south), Staraya Square and Lubyansky Lane (north), completing the half-circle of Central Squares of Moscow around Moscow Kremlin and Kitai-gorod.

Staraya Square (Russian: Старая площадь Staraya Ploshchad’), literally "Old Square", connects Ilyinka Street with Varvarka Gates Square in central Kitai-gorod area of Moscow, Russia. It is not a square in a true sense, but a street, normally closed to regular city traffic. The historical building located at 4 Staraya Square, was the headquarters of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, thus Staraya Square became a symbol for the Party apparatus. Now the building is the headquarters of Presidential Administration of Russia, retaining its symbolic value. It is one of the Central Squares of Moscow forming an arc around Moscow Kremlin and Kitai-gorod.
