Carmel Garden Matriculation Higher Secondary School is a school in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India. It was the first matriculation school for boys started in Coimbatore, on 1 June 1964 by the Coimbatore Catholic Diocese Society under the auspices of the Roman Catholic Mission. Founded by Reverend Francis M. Savarimuthu, the then Bishop of Coimbatore, the school is situated in a campus of seven acres near Sungam and Red Fields. In 1970 the first batch of students appeared for the matriculation examination conducted by the University of Madras. A student came first in science at state level. Former principals Rev. Fr. M.M. The idol of Shani is 7 feet (2.1 m) tall and is made of iron. A crow which is the mount of Shani, made also of iron stands in front of the main deity.

Sri Ashtamsa Varadha Anjaneyar Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Hanuman located in Peelamedu, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India. The idol of the deity is made of Salagrama stone. In the temple, Goddess Lakshmi graces the devotees from the right palm of Hanuman who tail faces North, direction of Kubera, God of wealth.
