Parlasco (Valassinese Lombard: Perlàsch) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Lecco in the Italian region of Lombardy, about 60 kilometres (37 mi) north of Milan and about 20 kilometres (12 mi) north of Lecco. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 147 and an area of 3.0 square kilometres (1.2 sq mi). Parlasco is one of the smallest Italian towns and it is located in the Parco Regionale della Grigna Settentrionale (Regional Park of the Northern Grigna) in Valsassina, just a few minutes from Lecco. It is on the main road connecting Lake Lecco to Valsassina and joins Alpe Cainallo with Cortenova. Colourful frescoes on house walls tell the story of Lasco the bandit, taken from a historical novel set in the 17th century that tells of the difficult life of inhabitants who were at the mercy of historical events and popular beliefs and oppressed by local landlords. The church of S. Antonio Abate. with paintings dating back to the 15th century, is also of interest. Parlasco borders the following municipalities: Bellano, Esino Lario, Perledo, Taceno, Vendrogno.

The Northern Grigna Regional Park (Italian: Parco regionale della Grigna settentrionale) is a nature reserve in Lombardy, Italy. Established in 2005, it encompasses most of the Grigna massif, located in the province of Lecco, in the Bergamasque Alps).The park has an area of 5,541 hectares in the territory of eight municipalities, between Lake Como, the Val d'Esino and the Valsassina, the highest point being the peak of the Grigna settentrionale (Northern Grigna) or Grignone, 2,409 meters above sea level, while the lowest point is 500 meters above sea level. The proximity to Lake Como creates a varied environment; the side closer to the lake enjoys a relatively mild climate, whereas the one closer to the Valsassina has a more tipycal Alpine climate.The park's fauna includes the marmot, the chamois, the red deer, the roe deer, the least weasel, the beech marten, the European badger, the red fox and the red squirrel. Nearly a hundred species of birds live in the park, including the peregrine falcon, the golden eagle, the Eurasian eagle-owl, the black kite, the European honey buzzard, the corn crake, the black woodpecker, the hen harrier, the black grouse, the boreal owl, the rock partridge and the grey partridge. Reptiles include the vipera aspis, the Italian crested newt and the podarcis muralis.The Releccio cave complex, the second deepest cave in Italy with a depth of 1,313 meters, is located in the park.

Valsassina is a valley in the Alps of Lombardy, northern Italy, within the province of Lecco. It is included between the Grigna range from West, and the Bergamo Prealps which, in a half-circle stretching from North to East, separate it from the valley of the area of Bergamo and the Valtellina. Valsassina also reaches the Lecco's branch of Lake Como at Lecco itself and Bellano. The valley is run by the Pioverna stream, which flows from the Grigne to the Lake Como. It's peculiar because it flows from south to north.

Premana (Lecchese: Promàne) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Lecco in the Italian region Lombardy, located about 70 kilometres (43 mi) northeast of Milan and about 20 kilometres (12 mi) north of Lecco. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 2,285 and an area of 33.7 square kilometres (13.0 sq mi). Premana has a long tradition in iron and steel working and is a centre of production for scissors and other cutting utensils, such as the safety razors from the traditional Italian brand Fatip, which have been handcrafted in Premana since the 1980s. Premana borders the following municipalities: Casargo, Delebio, Gerola Alta, Introbio, Pagnona, Pedesina, Primaluna, Rogolo.

Moncodeno (Moncoeuden in Lombard) is a Cirque on the northern mountain slope of the Grigna, part of the Bergamasque Alps in the province of Lecco, Lombardy, northern Italy. It takes its name from the pasture of the same name. Mostly located in the administrative territory of the municipality of Esino Lario, a small part is situated in Cortenova.

Pagnona borders the following municipalities: Casargo, Colico, Delebio, Piantedo, Premana, Tremenico.

45°58'N, 9°26'E The Grignetta, also known as Grigna Meridionale, is a mountain of Lombardy, Italy, with an elevation of 2,184 metres (7,165 ft). It is located in the Orobic Alps, in the Grigna massif.It is located in the territory of Mandello del Lario, south of the Grigna and north of Pian dei Resinelli. It has four main ridges: Cresta Segantini to the west, Cresta Sinigaglia to the south-east, Cresta Cermenati to the south, and Cresta di Campione to the east; a fifth ridge, to the north, connects it to the Grigna.A rocky and rugged mountain, its many pinnacles have been a training ground for mountaineers such as Riccardo Cassin, Emilio Comici and Walter Bonatti.A small mountain shelter, Bivacco Ferrario, is located on its peak, whereas a mountain hut (Rifugio Rosalba) is located farther down, at the foot of Cresta Segantini. The peak can be reached through various hiking paths and climbing routes.
