Berambang Island (Malay: Pulau Berambang) is an island at the southern bank of the Brunei River in the Mukim Kota Batu, Brunei-Muara District, Brunei. The island was formerly named Buang Tawer during The Brooke Era from 1841 until 1941. The mausoleum of the 9th Sultan of Brunei, Sultan Muhammad Hassan is located on the island, near Kampong Sungai Bunga.A proposal for an 1,939 hectares (4,790 acres) protection status to be implemented on the island. The island is home to proboscis monkeys, birds, secondary forests and swamp forests.

Research on the site's flora and fauna is important, as ethno-archaeological investigations have shown how skilled the locals were at employing plants for construction, industry, medicine, and sustenance. The archaeological park has basic services such rest areas, public restrooms, and parking spaces in addition to a 1,580 metres (5,180 ft) promenade, rest huts, and a bridge connecting to Terindak Island.

The Brunei Museum (Malay: Muzium Brunei) is the national museum of Brunei. It is located in Kota Batu in the capital Bandar Seri Begawan. The museum has exhibits of Islamic art, historical period of the 16th century and archaeology and ethnography. It is the largest museum in Brunei. The museum has been closed since 2014 for repairs and upgrade, and was expected to reopen in 2020, but remains closed in 2022. The museum published the first Brunei Museum Journal, an academic journal in 1969, which is an annual feature now.
