St Aidan's Church of England High School is a mixed Church of England secondary school and sixth form with academy status, located in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, England. It currently houses over 2500 students of both lower school and sixth form age. The school's Chamber Choir won the 2006 Songs of Praise School Choir of the Year Competition. The next time the school competed, in the 2010 Songs of Praise, the choir was awarded second place.The school was labelled as "outstanding" by an Ofsted report in October 2006. It is ranked 475th in the country for its GCSE results in 2006 by The Times. In 2022, after an inspection in September 2021, Ofsted reported St Aidan's to be "inadequate" marking a fall from the highest to the lowest Ofsted Grades. The rating was due to the "inadequate" Senior Leadership and Safeguarding at the school and the report states pupils were being "put at risk".

St John Fisher Catholic High School, Harrogate, North Yorkshire, England, is an 11–18 Catholic comprehensive school. It has developed steadily during the past 50 years and has around 1,450 pupils. The school is set in 22 acres (8.9 ha) on the south side of Harrogate and skirted by Hookstone Wood.

The Stray is a long area of public parkland in the centre of Harrogate, North Yorkshire, England, comprising 200 acres (81 ha) of contiguous open land linking the spa town's curative springs and wells. The contiguous area of land, not all of which is officially designated part of The Stray, forms an approximately U-shaped belt from the Cenotaph on the north west point of the U, down the A61 road, along a broader southern belt of fields, enclosing the building of Church Square, and up to the north east tip of the U at The Granby. Harrogate College is a further education college in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, England. It traces its origins to the University Extension movement, which began in 1873 under the auspices of Cambridge University. It offers several levels of qualifications, including Further and Higher Education courses. Harrogate College relocated in 1985 to Hornbeam Park, after the older Bower Road location of the college in Harrogate closed. The College was known as Harrogate College of Further Education and later Harrogate College of Arts and Technology prior to 1 September 1994, when the name was shortened to Harrogate College.The college is on the former Harrogate ICI Fibres site in four buildings. Harrogate College merged with Leeds Metropolitan University in August 1998 and was classified as a university; the Harrogate College statutory corporation was dissolved on 1 August 1998. On 1 August 2008 management of the college was transferred to Hull College. This was not strictly a merger since Leeds Metropolitan University still had links with Harrogate College through the Regional University Network (RUN).. On 1 August 2019 it transferred from Hull College Group to Luminate Education Group (formerly Leeds City College Group).

Hornbeam Park is a railway station on the Harrogate Line, which runs between Leeds and York via Harrogate. The station, situated 17+1⁄4 miles (28 km) north of Leeds, serves the spa town of Harrogate in North Yorkshire, England. It is owned by Network Rail and managed by Northern Trains.

The Vale of York Hoard, also known as the Harrogate Hoard and the Vale of York Viking Hoard, is a 10th-century Viking hoard of 617 silver coins and 65 other items. It was found undisturbed in 2007 near the town of Harrogate in North Yorkshire, England. The hoard was the largest Viking one discovered in Britain since 1840, when the Cuerdale hoard was found in Lancashire, though the Anglo-Saxon Staffordshire Hoard, found in 2009, is larger.

It is mostly used for football matches, being the home ground of Harrogate Town A.F.C. The stadium has a capacity of 5,000 people, and is situated on the A661 Wetherby Road, adjacent to Harrogate District Hospital.

Harrogate Town Association Football Club is a professional association football club based in the spa town of Harrogate, North Yorkshire, England. The club competes in League Two, the fourth tier of English football, after winning the 2019–20 National League play-offs. The club is nicknamed "Town" and also the "Sulphurites", due to Harrogate's famous sulphur springs. The club's colours are black and yellow and they play their home games at Wetherby Road, though for a short period at the start of the 2020–21 season, the club shared Doncaster Rovers' Keepmoat Stadium while a new pitch was laid. Formed in 1914, the club entered the Northern League, but were unable to compete due to the outbreak of World War I. They eventually played their first competitive fixture in the West Riding League in August 1919. They were a founding member of the Yorkshire League the following year and also entered the Midland League in 1921. They finished as Yorkshire League champions in 1926–27, but were disbanded in 1932. Harrogate Hotspurs were founded in 1935 and changed their name to Harrogate Town after football returned at the end of World War II, joining the West Yorkshire Association League. They entered the Yorkshire League again in 1957, before becoming founder members of the Northern Counties East League in 1982 and a founding member of the Northern Premier League's First Division in 1987. They won the Northern Premier League Division One title in 2001–02 and became founder members of the Conference North in 2004. They won the National League North play-offs in 2018 and then secured a place in the Football League for the first time with victory in the 2020 National League play-off final.The team won the 2019–20 FA Trophy in a final against Concord Rangers played on 3 May 2021.

Christ Church, High Harrogate is a parish church in the Church of England located in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, England. It was the first church building to be built in Harrogate and is today home to a thriving congregation and – along with the attached Parish Centre – an important focus of community activities.

Crimple Valley Viaduct, also known as Crimple Viaduct and Crimple Beck Viaduct is a railway viaduct which crosses the Crimple Valley between Pannal railway station and Hornbeam Park railway station in North Yorkshire. It is a Grade II* listed structure.It is 1,872 feet (571 m) long and has 31 arches, each of 52-foot (16 m) span, which reach a maximum height of 110 feet (34 m) above the Crimple Valley. The sharp bend in the track on the south side of the viaduct causes trains to reduce speed significantly, especially on the northbound journey. Older Pacer rolling stock units are locally known to loudly squeal whilst passing around the tight bend due to increased pressure on the bogies and wheels. It was completed in 1848 to designs by George Hudson for the York and North Midland Railway company and built of rusticated grit stone ashlar. The contractor was James Bray.
