Weasel Brook is a tributary of the Passaic River in Passaic County, New Jersey, United States. Weasel Brook flows west to east through Clifton, particularly its namesake Weasel Brook Park, originally designed by famed landscape architect Frederick Law Olmstead (1822-1903).

Paterson Charter School for Science and Technology is a comprehensive public charter elementary school / high school that serves students in kindergarten through twelfth grades located in Paterson, in Passaic County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. The school operates under the terms of a charter granted by the New Jersey Department of Education granted in 2003, with authority to open in September 2004 with up to 178 students in grades six through nine, eventually expanding by the end of its initial charter in 2007 to nearly 500 students in grades 6 to 12. The school has been accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Elementary and Secondary Schools since 2014.As of the 2022–23 school year, the school had an enrollment of 1,160 students and 81.0 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 14.3:1. There were 801 students (69.1% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 132 (11.4% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.

Paterson P-TECH High School is a four-year public high school in Paterson in Passaic County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey, operated as part of the Paterson Public Schools. It is one of a number of academy programs serving students in ninth through twelfth grades offered by the school district. The program focuses on earth science and space science as part of a partnership with Passaic County Community College and grants from NASA. As of the 2022–23 school year, the school had an enrollment of 202 students and 17.0 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 11.9:1. There were 93 students (46.0% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and none listed as eligible for reduced-cost lunch.

Lake View is a former railroad station for the Erie Railroad in the community of Paterson, New Jersey. The station was located at the intersection of Railway Avenue and Crooks Avenue in the Lakeview district of Paterson, just north of the Clifton town line. The station consisted of two platforms, with a small shelter-sized depot on the westbound tracks and no shelter whatsoever on the eastbound side heading towards Pavonia Terminal. The station was first opened in 1883 in the Lakeview district, and remained in use for nearly eight decades. In 1952 and 1953, as a deal made for Passaic, New Jersey, stations at Clifton and Main Street-Passaic were rebuilt. However, Lake View was not, and when the Passaic Plan was enacted on April 2, 1963, the last passenger trains served Lake View served the old 1883 depot. The depot was razed in the autumn of 1967.

Clifton was a former train station for the Erie Railroad and Erie-Lackawanna Railroad in Clifton, Passaic County, New Jersey, United States. Located at the intersection of Getty Avenue and Clifton Avenue (County Route 611), the station served as part of the Main Line. The station consisted of tracks on an elevated line above Getty Avenue (since removed) with the 1952-built station depot on the side. After the closure of Harrison Street station, the station to the southeast was Passaic and the next station to the northwest was the Lake View station in nearby Paterson.

Garret Mountain Reservation (also spelled Garrett) is a 568-acre (230 ha) park located on First Watchung Mountain (Garret Mountain) in Paterson and Woodland Park (formerly West Paterson) in southern Passaic County, New Jersey. In 1967, it was designated a National Natural Landmark as part of the Great Falls of Paterson-Garret Mountain listing. The park extends into Clifton. Garret Mountain is Passaic County's major recreational area, providing the visitors with grass fields, several miles of walking/running trails, basketball courts, picnic areas, Barbour's Pond is state stocked with fish for anglers, as well as an Equestrian Center with horseback riding lessons. The Passaic County Parks Department operates the park while the Passaic County Sheriff is responsible for law enforcement in the reservation. For the past several decades, the reservation has been the site of hundreds of high school and college cross country meets in the fall, including the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association (NJSIAA) High School State Sectional Championships at the end of every October.

Rifle Camp Park is a 225-acre (0.9 km2) county park of Passaic County, New Jersey. It is located mostly within Woodland Park, but its eastern edge extends into Clifton as well. The park includes hiking trails, an observatory, nature center, fitness trail, amphitheater, a bird watching blind, and an overnight camping facility for local scout organizations.

Highlands Preserve (formerly San Cap Park) is a 224-acre county park that is located off Union Valley Road in West Milford Township, New Jersey, United States. It is adjacent to Abram S. Hewitt State Forest. The park provides a baseball field and three softball fields, which are located in an area leased and maintained by West Milford. The remainder of San Cap Park is geared towards passive recreation, and includes hiking trails that provide connections to the adjacent state forest. With regard to parking and transportation, the onsite parking is provided in an area leased by West Milford, and NJ Transit Bus Route 197 services the park along Warwick Turnpike. As of April 2017, the County of Passaic has partnered with New York - New Jersey Trail Conference to begin mapping out a 5-mile network of trails with way finding signs and ADA accessible paths.

Clifton High School (CHS) is a four-year comprehensive public high school serving students in ninth through twelfth grades from the city of Clifton in Passaic County, New Jersey, United States, operating as part of the Clifton Public Schools. It has the largest student body in a single facility amongst high schools in New Jersey; Elizabeth High School had more students, but its students have been spread over multiple campuses.As of the 2021–22 school year, the school had an enrollment of 2,962 students and 212.3 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 14.0:1. There were 1,192 students (40.2% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 188 (6.3% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.
