Town of Mosman Park

Mosman Park is a western suburb of Perth, Western Australia on the north bank of the Swan River in the local government area of the Town of Mosman Park. It was historically known as Buckland Hill (1889–1909), then Cottesloe Beach (1909–1930) and again Buckland Hill (1930–1937). From 1937 it was named Mosman Park, derived from Mosman in Sydney, the birthplace of Richard Yeldon, a member of the Buckland Hill Road Board. Mosman Park is now considered an affluent suburb, but prior to the 1970s was one of Perth's major industrial centres.

Leighton Battery at Buckland Hill, Mosman Park, Western Australia, was part of the Coastal defences of Australia during World War II and the Fremantle Fortress, protecting Fremantle Harbour. The battery initially consisted of two 6-inch Mk VII naval guns, operational from February 1943. The two guns were removed in 1945 and replaced by three 5.25 inch dual purpose coastal artillery/antiaircraft guns. While it was envisioned to have all major ports in Australia protected by these type guns, the Leighton Battery became the only one ever operational. The battery was dismantled and the equipment disposed of for scrap in 1963. The battery site was added to the Western Australian State Register of Heritage Places in August 1999 and was awarded an Engineering Heritage National Marker in November 2014. While some above-ground installations have been restored, the underground installations consisting of underground tunnels, rooms, observation post and semi-buried command post are considered an outstanding example of technical achievement.

Buckland Hill Reservoir is situated in Mosman Park, Western Australia, 11.5 kilometres (7.1 mi) southwest of the Perth central business district. The covered reservoir is the most westerly in the Perth metropolitan area. The reservoir was originally filled with water from Perth's hill dams and features a water treatment plant. In 1935 Buckland Hill supplied water to the area from Fremantle to Claremont.The reservoir position has sweeping views of Rottnest Island, Garden Island and the Port of Fremantle and mouth of the Swan River to the west, and Lucky Bay and Bicton and East Fremantle to the east.

Victoria Street railway station is a railway station on the Transperth network. It is located on the Fremantle line, 14.2 kilometres from Perth station serving the suburbs of Mosman Park and Cottesloe.

Iona Presentation College is an independent Catholic early learning, primary and secondary school. It is located in Mosman Park, a suburb of Perth, Western Australia. Founded in 1907 by the Presentation Sisters, Iona enrolled 1220 students in 2020, from early learning (3-year-old students) to Year 12, of whom one percent identified as Indigenous Australians and twelve percent were from a language background other than English. Iona is co-educational in the early learning and primary school years, and is an all-girls school from Year 7- through to Year 12. The college is a member of Catholic Education Western Australia, the Independent Girls' Schools Sports Association (IGSSA), the Alliance of Girls' Schools Australia, and the Association of Independent Schools of Western Australia. The principal is Robyn Miller.

Mosman Park railway station is a railway station on the Transperth network. It is located on the Fremantle line, 13.5 kilometres from Perth station serving the suburbs of Mosman Park and Cottesloe.

Preston Point (Niergarup in Noongar) is a small point in the Swan River, Western Australia. It is located in the Perth bordering the suburbs of East Fremantle, and Bicton about 12 km (7.5 mi) south west of the city centre. On the other side of the river is Rocky Bay and the suburbs of North Fremantle and Mosman Park. It was named by Sir James Stirling in 1827 after Lieutenant William Preston. Prior to European settlement, the area was known to the Noongar indigenous people as Niergarup, and was an important ceremonial and camping area.

The Matilda Bay Brewing Company was a West Australian brewery. It was the first new brewery opened in Australia since World War II and Australia's first craft brewery. Originating from small batches brewed for the Sail and Anchor Hotel in 1984, their main brewery opened in 1989 in a prominent building on the Stirling Highway occupied by Ford Motor Company. The company was purchased by Carlton & United Breweries in the early 1990s (now part of Asahi Breweries).

St Hilda's Anglican School for Girls is an Australian independent non-selective Anglican single-sex primary and secondary day and boarding school for girls, located in Mosman Park, a western suburb of Perth, Western Australia. In addition, the school provides co-educational early learning education to both girls and boys.

HMAS Leeuwin is a former Royal Australian Navy (RAN) shore establishment,[note a] located in Fremantle, Western Australia. In use between 1940 and 1984, the base reopened in 1986 under the control of the Australian Army as Leeuwin Barracks. Commissioned in August 1940 as the naval depot for Fremantle, the base was adopted for use as a training facility after World War II, initially for RAN reservists and national servicemen, then as the Junior Recruit Training Establishment (JRTE) from 1960 until 1984. There was widespread sexual and physical abuse of trainees at the JRTE, with 10% of reports investigated by the Defence Abuse Response Taskforce relating to incidents at Leeuwin. Decommissioned from naval service in 1986, the base was later reopened under the control of the Australian Army as Leeuwin Barracks. In 2015, the Australian Government announced that the Leeuwin site will be sold off for residential development.

Leighton Station was a railway station on the Transperth network in Perth, Western Australia. It was located on the Fremantle line around 15.7 kilometres (9.8 mi) from Perth, serving the Fremantle suburb of North Fremantle.

St Columba's Presbyterian Church is a Presbyterian church at the corner of Venn and Keane streets in Peppermint Grove, a suburb of Perth, Western Australia.
