Olivesburg is an unincorporated community in northeastern Weller Township, Richland County, Ohio, United States. It is part of the Mansfield Metropolitan Statistical Area. The town is on the bank of the Whetstone Creek, about two miles north of its junction with the Blackfork of the Mohican River. The community is served by the Ashland (44805) post office.Today, the town consists of little more than a general store. It has an advertising sign posted for Olivesburg Dynamite, indicating the town once had a manufacturer of explosives. The store serves today as a convenience store selling to tourists visiting the Amish country of Ohio; they offer a t-shirt claiming Olivesburg is the Road Apple Capital.Population of Olivesburg is officially posted on a state highway sign on as 813, though it would be hard to confirm since the same sign has been there since the early 1970s.

Mansfield Correctional Institution (MANCI) is an Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction mixed-security state prison for men, located at 1150 North Main Street in Mansfield, Ohio, adjacent to the property of the historic Ohio State Reformatory. Ohio's Richland Correctional Institution is also located in Mansfield. The facility opened in 1990 and has a capacity of 2,523 inmates. In 2005 the state's death row inmates were transferred from Mansfield to the Ohio State Penitentiary in Youngstown, Ohio. Those inmates have since been moved to Chillicothe Correctional Institution. In July 2013 prisoner James David Myers engineered an escape, using three ladders to scale security fences. He was caught the next day. Four correctional employees were fired in relation to the escape, for infractions ranging from falsifying inventory documents to failing to respond to fence alarms.

BibleWalk (formerly The Living Bible Museum) is a nondenominational Christian wax museum in Madison Township, just outside Mansfield, Ohio, affiliated with the Diamond Hill Cathedral. It depicts scenes of religious importance for Christians, primarily from the Bible. The museum has received attention for its use of celebrity wax figures in its scenes, acquired from celebrity wax museums that were closing. This was done as a cost-saving measure when new wax figures were deemed too expensive. The museum attempts to make the celebrity figures unrecognizable.
