Lightridge High School

John Champe High School is a public High school in Aldie, an unincorporated community in Loudoun County, Virginia, United States. The school was established in 2012. It is named after the revolutionary war hero John Champe who led an unsuccessful attempt to kidnap traitor Benedict Arnold. The campus is just south of U.S. Route 50 and 30 miles west of Washington, D.C. It is part of Loudoun County Public Schools and is located at 41535 Sacred Mountain Street.

The population as of the 2010 census was 7,214. As of the 2020 census, the population had increased to 15,039. Stone Ridge is a Van Metre Homes planned, mixed-use community.

St. Paul VI Catholic High School (known as PVI or Paul VI) is a Roman Catholic college preparatory school in Chantilly, Virginia, United States.The school was previously located in southwest Fairfax, Virginia and is named after Pope Paul VI. In 2020 it relocated to Loudoun County, specifically Chantilly, Virginia. It competes in the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference and Virginia Independent State Athletic Association (VISAA) and has a high-profile athletic rivalry with Bishop O'Connell High School in Arlington. Paul VI opened for the 1983–84 school year, accepting freshmen and sophomore students only. The next year (1984–85), the school was open to freshmen through juniors, and 1985–86 saw the first senior class. The Diocese of Arlington purchased the school building, which was in a dilapidated condition, from George Mason University, which had owned it for about a decade. The structure had originally been Fairfax High School, which opened in 1935 and relocated to a new facility in January 1972. One wing of the building housed Alzheimer patients until the school's third year. During its first years, the school was ministered by five Oblates of St. Francis de Sales, who also taught classes and one of whom (Rev. Donald Heet, OSFS) served as the principal. The remainder of the faculty were lay teachers. The other ordained faculty were Rev. Robert Mulligan, OSFS and Rev. John Lyle, OSFS. In 2000, the school selected its first principal who was not from the Oblate order. Mr. Philip Robey was selected for this position, and stepped down seven years later. He was replaced by Mrs. Virginia Colwell, a former English teacher at Paul VI. In 2020, the high school relocated to the South Riding area in Loudoun County, amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The move had been planned prior to the pandemic. The team name "Panthers" was voted by the student body during the school's first year. The original school colors were brown and gold until the 1999–2000 school year. The school moved away from brown in favor of black, which was considered more stylish by the student body. After the canonization of Pope Paul VI in October 2018, the school was renamed St. Paul VI Catholic High School to further honor its patron and namesake.

Mount Zion Old School Baptist Church, also known as Mount Zion Primitive Baptist Church and Mount Zion Old School Predestinarian Baptist Church, is a historic Primitive Baptist church located at Gilberts Corner, Loudoun County, Virginia. It is now maintained by the Northern Virginia Regional Park Authority: the property including the adjoining cemetery is open from dawn to dusk and the church itself open on the fourth Sunday of various months (except in wintertime), or by reservation for weddings and events.

Freedom High School, also known as Freedom-South Riding, is a public high school in South Riding, an unincorporated community in Loudoun County, Virginia, United States, 25 miles (40 km) west of Washington, D.C. The school is part of Loudoun County Public Schools.

Arcola Elementary School is a historic elementary school building located at Arcola, Loudoun County, Virginia. It was originally built in 1939, as a six-room, one-story, Colonial Revival style school as part of the Public Works Administration building campaign. It has a hipped roof and projecting central pavilion with pediment frontispiece and recessed entrance. Flanking classroom wings were added in 1939, 1951, and 1956. It remained in use as a school into the 1970s, when it was re-opened as the Arcola Community Center.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2013.

Gilberts Corner is an unincorporated area at the intersection of U.S. Route 50 and U.S. Route 15 in Loudoun County, Virginia, located east of the historic village of Aldie. There are no residences at this intersection, but its name is attributed to the surrounding area. Gilberts Corner is named after the William Gilbert family, who ran the gas station/restaurant that sits at the northeast quadrant of the crossroads. It gained prominence in the 1920s when the Carolina Road (now Watson Road) was a toll road and U.S. Route 15 was extended south from Leesburg to U.S. Route 50. Due to increased traffic from toll evaders, U.S. Route 15 eventually was extended even farther south. The gas station/restaurant closed in the 1980s and is currently in the process of being renovated. Due to heavy traffic in the area, many commuters avoided the intersection altogether by going through Lenah and taking U.S. Route 15 south.

Fair Oaks is a historic farmstead at 23718 New Mountain Rd. in Loudoun County, Virginia, near the village of Aldie. The 2+1⁄2-story wood-frame Italianate style house was built in 1881 by Alexander Moore, whose family operated the Aldie Mill for many years. The most prominent exterior decorative feature is the front porch, which features a delicately scroll-sawn balustrade and decorative brackets. Most of its interior woodwork has been preserved. The farmstead includes three other buildings dating to the same period, as well as the 1844 Moore family cemetery.The property was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2014.
