Wilhelmshaven, also known as Wilhelmshaven Hauptbahnhof (German: Bahnhof Wilhelmshaven), is a railway station in Wilhelmshaven, Germany, on the Wilhelmshaven–Oldenburg railway. The trains are operated by NordWestBahn.

The Botanischer Garten der Stadt Wilhelmshaven (8500 m2) is a municipal botanical garden located at Gökerstraße 125, Wilhelmshaven, Lower Saxony, Germany. It is open daily in the warmer months; admission is free. The garden was established in 1947 as a school garden. Its major collection represents typical plants of northern Germany, from environments including heath, dunes, forests, meadows, and ponds. Other outdoor collections include a medicinal garden, ornamental plants, and thematically arranged areas. Its greenhouses contain plants from the Mediterranean, tropics, and subtropics including coffee, cocoa, bananas, sugarcane, rice, carnivorous plants, succulents, epiphytic bromeliads and orchids, and Victoria cruziana.

Wilhelmshaven (German pronunciation: [vɪlhɛlmsˈhaːfn̩] , lit. Wilhelm's Harbour; Northern Low Saxon: Willemshaven) is a coastal town in Lower Saxony, Germany. It is situated on the western side of the Jade Bight, a bay of the North Sea, and has a population of 76,089. Wilhelmshaven is the centre of the "Jade Bay" business region (which has around 330,000 inhabitants) and is Germany's main military port. The adjacent Lower Saxony Wadden Sea National Park (part of the Wattenmeer UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site) provides the basis for the major tourism industry in the region.

The Kaiser Wilhelm Bridge (German: Kaiser-Wilhelm-Brücke or "Emperor William Bridge") is a swing bridge in Wilhelmshaven, Germany, and the town's landmark.

The Lake Bant tern colony is a breeding colony of common terns (Sterna hirundo) at Lake Bant (Banter See in German) in the port city of Wilhelmshaven, north-western Germany. It is the subject of a long-term research project carried out by the Institute of Avian Research (Heligoland Bird Observatory).

D186 Mölders was one of three Lütjens-class guided-missile destroyers, a modified version of the American Charles F. Adams class, built for the Bundesmarine (West German Navy) during the 1960s.

Jadestadion is a multi-use stadium in Wilhelmshaven, Germany. It is used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium of SV Wilhelmshaven. The capacity is 7,500 people.

The Institute for Chemistry and Biology of the Marine Environment of the Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg (German: Institut für Chemie und Biologie des Meeres der Carl von Ossietzky Universität Oldenburg, abbreviated ICBM) is one of the marine science institutes at the German coast and the only university-based marine research institute in Lower Saxony, Germany. The ICBM is located on the campus Wechloy in Oldenburg, with locations in Wilhelmshaven and on the island of Spiekeroog (in relation to the national park centre Wittbülten on the area of the Hermann Lietz School). The ICBM operates the Wadden Sea time series station Spiekeroog (WSS) and several research vessels.

Lake Bant, or Banter See in German, is an artificial lake in the North Sea port city of Wilhelmshaven in north-west Germany. It is about 2.6 kilometres (1.6 mi) long and 0.5 kilometres (0.31 mi) wide. It was originally part of the harbour complex created by enclosing part of Jade Bight bordering the city's waterfront for military and industrial use. It used to contain naval facilities, including a submarine base. Now separated from the port, it is used mainly for recreation and research. It is surrounded by parkland, recreational facilities, up-market housing, research institutes and company offices.

The Jade University of Applied Sciences (German: Jade Hochschule) is a public university in Lower Saxony, Germany. It was founded in 2009 as a successor to the Fachhochschule Oldenburg/Ostfriesland/Wilhelmshaven. The university has campuses in Wilhelmshaven, Oldenburg and Elsfleth and around 6,700 students. The university is named after the Jade river.

The Wilhelmshaven Power Station is one of two coal power stations in the city of Wilhelmshaven, Germany. Built in the middle of the 1970s, the power station has an output of 747 megawatts.

The German submarine U-8 was a Type IIB U-boat of Nazi Germany's Kriegsmarine, based at Kiel during World War II. It was one of the smaller versions, and was first launched on 16 July 1935. Its first commander was Harald Grosse. U-8 would have 18 commanders over the course of its service, the last being Jürgen Kriegshammer.
