Piscinola (Naples Metro)

The Eighth Municipality (In Italian: Ottava Municipalità or Municipalità 8) is one of the ten boroughs in which the Italian city of Naples is divided.

Scampia (Italian: [skamˈpiːa], Neapolitan: [ʃkamˈbiːə]) is a modern suburb in the far north of Naples, whose population is about 80,000. To its south are the suburbs of Piscinola-Marianella, Miano and Secondigliano. It was built during the second half of the twentieth century.

Piscinola, or Piscinola-Marianella, is a northern suburb of Naples, Italy, with a population of ca. 20,000. It is bordered to the north by the Scampia district, north-west with the municipality of Mugnano of Naples, on the west by the Chiaiano district, to the south with the district of San Carlo all'Arena and east with the district Miano. With the Marianella neighborhood and adjacent neighborhoods Chiaiano and Scampia, Piscinola constitutes, since 2005, the 8th municipality of Naples. Piscinola also belongs to the group of the suppressed municipalities, in fact for self-government in 1866, following the annexation to the City of Naples. With Marianella was linked administratively, from annexation to the City of Naples, as the ward.

Miano is an metro station under construction that will serve Line 1 on the Naples Metro. Miano station, along with the Regina Margherita station and Secondigliano station, will serve the Secondigliano and Miano areas.

Frullone is a station on line 1 of the Naples Metro public transport service, Naples, Italy. It was opened on 19 July 1995 as part of the section between Colli Aminei and Piscinola. The station is located between Colli Aminei and Chiaiano.

San Giovanni Barra is an underground metro station on line 2 of the Naples Metro. It opened in June 2010.

Chiaiano is a station on line 1 of the Naples Metro. It was opened on 19 July 1995 as part of the section between Colli Aminei and Piscinola. The station is located between Frullone and Piscinola.

Regina Margherita is a metro station under construction that will serve Line 1 on the Naples Metro. Regina Margherita station, designed by Antonio Nanu, along with the Miano and Secondigliano stations, will serve the Secondigliano and Miano areas.

Melito di Napoli (Neapolitan: Melite 'e Napule) is a comune (municipality) in the Metropolitan City of Naples in the Italian region Campania, located about 9 kilometres (5.6 mi) north of Naples. Melito di Napoli borders the following municipalities: Casandrino, Giugliano in Campania, Mugnano di Napoli, Naples, Sant'Antimo.

Santa Maria delle Grazie a Capodimonte is a church located in via Bosco in Capodimonte in Naples, Italy. The church was founded as a local parish church in 1575 under the patronage of the Marquis Innocenzo Mazza. It was named Madonna delle Grazie due to a local shrine (aedicule) dedicated to that iconic image. It is now close to the Reggia di Capodimonte. The church was reconstructed in the 20th century. The interior has a single nave with keel shaped roof with curved stucco decoration. The apse is covered by a semicircular cupola. The nave niches have statuary. In the chapel of Confraternita is a canvas of the Annunciation with two fraternity members by an unknown 18th-century artist. A plaque at the entry recalls an indulgence given to the confraternity in January 1780 by Pius VI. In the chapel of St Anne is an altar, likely by Tommaso Scotti, with a wooden statue of the saint (1783), which is held in particular devotion in the Capodimonte neighborhood.

Secondigliano is an under-construction metro station that will serve Line 1 on the Naples Metro. Secondigliano station, designed by Antonio Nanu, along with the Miano and Regina Margherita stations, will serve the Secondigliano and Miano areas.
