High Brooms

High Brooms railway station is on the Hastings line in the south of England and serves High Brooms and Southborough in the borough of Tunbridge Wells, Kent. It is 32 miles 70 chains (52.9 km) down the line from London Charing Cross. The station and all trains serving it are operated by Southeastern.

Southborough Pit is a 1.1-hectare (2.7-acre) geological Site of Special Scientific Interest in Tunbridge Wells in Kent. It is a Geological Conservation Review site.This site dates to the Valanginian age, around 140 million years ago in the Lower Cretaceous. It is the type locality for the High Brooms Soil Bed, which contains the aquatic horsetail Equisetes lyellii.Footpaths go through the site, but it has been filled in and no geology is visible.

Hilbert Woods is a 14.3-hectare (35-acre) Local Nature Reserve in Tunbridge Wells in Kent. It is owned by Tunbridge Wells Borough Council and managed by Kent High Weald Project and the Friends of Grosvenor and Hilbert Park.This gently sloping wood has oak, hazel and beech on the dry upper slopes, and alder on lower and wetter areas running down to a stream. The insect fauna is rich and diverse, including rare species.There is access by a footpath from Sandhurst Park.

Barnett's Wood is a 12.4-hectare (31-acre) Local Nature Reserve in Southborough, on the northern outskirts of Tunbridge Wells in Kent. It is owned by Tunbridge Wells Borough Council and managed by Kent High Weald Project and the Friends of Barnett’s Wood.This site has ancient, semi-natural woodland and unimproved grassland. The meadows are grazed by cattle, and wildflowers include bird's-foot trefoil, common spotted orchid, cuckooflower, sneezewort, oxeye daisy and common knapweed.There is access from Juniper Close.

Tunbridge Wells power station supplied electricity to the town of Royal Tunbridge Wells and the surrounding area from 1895 to 1968. The power station was built by the Tunbridge Wells Corporation which operated it until the nationalisation of the British electricity supply industry in 1948.

Southborough is a town and civil parish in the borough of Tunbridge Wells in Kent, England. It lies immediately to the north of the town of Tunbridge Wells and includes the district of High Brooms, with the A26 road passing through it. According to the 2001 census it had a population of 11,124. The town is within the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Beechwood School is a co-educational independent day and boarding school for children aged 3–18, which comprises a Nursery, Preparatory School and Senior School, with boarding for children aged 11–18. Beechwood is situated on a 23-acre campus in Tunbridge Wells, Kent. Admission to the Senior School is via assessment in mathematics, English, non-verbal reasoning, and creative writing. Tunbridge Wells Grammar School for Boys (TWGSB) is a grammar school in Royal Tunbridge Wells, Kent, England. Founded as a technical school in 1956, TWGSB became a grammar school in 1982.The current enrolment of 1,504 pupils (of which 326 are in the sixth form) is spread across two sites: the main site in Tunbridge Wells and the annexe in Sevenoaks. The lower school is all boys (aged 11–16 years) whilst the sixth form is mixed (aged 16–18 years). Admission to the lower school is selective with pupils required to pass the eleven-plus selection test administered by Kent County Council. Successful pupils fall within the top 25 per cent of the ability range upon entrance.The current Headteacher, Amanda Simpson, was appointed in September 2017. The Skinners' School (formally The Skinners' Company's Middle School for Boys and commonly known as Skinners'), is a British Grammar School with academy status for boys located in the town of Royal Tunbridge Wells, Kent, England. Established in 1887, the school was founded by the Worshipful Company of Skinners (one of the 111 livery companies of the City of London) in response to a demand for education in the region. Today Skinners' remains an all-boys grammar school, recently awarded specialist status in science and mathematics in recognition of these disciplines' excellent teaching. The current enrolment is 1119 pupils, of whom around 326 are in the sixth form. The first headmaster was Reverend Frederick Knott, after whom Knott House is named. The current Headmaster is Edward Wesson. Skinners' boys generally take eleven General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) tests in Year Eleven (aged 15–16), and they have a choice of three or four A-levels in the sixth form. An Office for Standards in Education, Children's Services and Skills (Ofsted) inspection in November 2021 graded The Skinners' School as "good". The majority of students go on to higher education following the completion of their A-levels at the end of Year Thirteen (aged 17–18), and in 2011 and 2022, one in ten Year 13 students gained an Oxbridge offer.

Dunorlan Park is a park and grounds in Royal Tunbridge Wells, UK. Totalling approximately 78 acres (32 ha) and containing a 6-acre (2.4 ha) lake, the grounds were landscaped by Robert Marnock for Henry Reed, the merchant and philanthropist who owned the estate and the now-demolished house that once overlooked it.

St Gregory's Catholic School (often shortened to St Greg's) is an 11–18 mixed, Roman Catholic, secondary school and sixth form with academy status in Royal Tunbridge Wells, Kent, England. It was established in 1966 and is part of the Kent Catholic Schools' Partnership. It is located in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Southwark.

The Skinners' Kent Academy (formerly Sandown Court then later renamed to Tunbridge Wells High School) is a secondary school with academy status in Royal Tunbridge Wells, England. The academy is rated outstanding by Ofsted.Tunbridge Wells High School became The Skinners' Kent Academy in September 2009, when the school became an academy, and independent of local authority control.
