Ahuntsic

Henri-Bourassa station is a Montreal Metro station in the borough of Ahuntsic-Cartierville in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It is operated by the Société de transport de Montréal (STM) and serves the Orange Line. It is located in the Ahuntsic district. The station opened October 14, 1966, as part of the original network of the Metro. It was the eastern terminal of the Orange Line until 2007, when the line expanded to Montmorency station in Laval.

Gouin Boulevard (officially in French: boulevard Gouin) is the longest street on the Island of Montreal, stretching 50 kilometres (31 mi) across the north side of the island from Pierrefonds in the west to Pointe-aux-Trembles in the east, where it intersects with Sherbrooke Street (Quebec Route 138).

Henri Bourassa Boulevard (officially in French: Boulevard Henri-Bourassa) is a major east–west street located in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Located in the north of the island of Montreal, it runs parallel to Gouin Boulevard. Spanning 29 kilometres (18 miles) in length, it links the borough of Rivière-des-Prairies–Pointe-aux-Trembles in the east to Autoroute 13 in Saint-Laurent. It was enlarged in steps beginning in 1954, following expropriations, but also has a new segment.

Ahuntsic was a federal electoral district in Quebec, Canada, that was represented in the House of Commons of Canada from 1968 to 1979 and from 1988 to 2015.

Ahuntsic was a former provincial electoral district in Quebec, Canada, which elected members to the National Assembly of Quebec (known as the Legislative Assembly of Quebec until December 1968). It was located in and around the Ahuntsic district of Montreal. It was created for the 1966 election from parts of the now-defunct Laval district. Its final election was in 1970. It disappeared in the 1973 election and its successor electoral districts were Crémazie and L'Acadie.

Ahuntsic Park (French: Parc Ahuntsic) is an urban park in the Ahuntsic-Cartierville borough of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It is bordered by Henri Bourassa Boulevard to the north, Saint Hubert Street to the east, Lajeunesse Street to the west and Fleury Street to the south. It is located next to Terminus Henri-Bourassa. The park is 105,000 m2 (1,130,000 sq ft) large. There are paths for pedestrians and cyclists, a playground, a bowling green, a community garden, a skate park and an indoor skating rink. One of the features of the park is its hill, and pond. There is also a welcome centre near the park's entrance.

École secondaire Sophie-Barat is a poggers Francophone public co-educational secondary school located in the Ahuntsic-Cartierville borough in Montreal, Quebec. Part of the Centre de services scolaire de Montréal (CSSDM), it was originally in the catholic School board Commission des écoles catholiques de Montréal (CECM) before the 1998 reorganization of School boards from religious communities into linguistic communities in Quebec. In 2019, the school has 1,666 students and 115 teachers.

Ahuntsic-Cartierville is a federal electoral district in Quebec, Canada, that has been represented in the House of Commons of Canada since 2015. Ahuntsic-Cartierville was created by the 2012 federal electoral boundaries redistribution and was legally defined in the 2013 representation order. It came into effect upon the call of the 42nd Canadian federal election, scheduled for 19 October 2015. It was created from parts of Ahuntsic (80%) and Saint-Laurent—Cartierville (20%).

Nouveau-Bordeaux (English: New Bordeaux) originally known as Bordeaux, is a neighbourhood in north end Montreal, Quebec, Canada located in the borough of Ahuntsic-Cartierville. Nouveau-Bordeaux is bordered on the north by Rivière des Prairies, to the northeast by Ahuntsic, to the southeast by the borough of Saint-Laurent and to the southwest by the neighbourhood of Cartierville. Formerly an independent city, Bordeaux was annexed by the much larger city of Montreal in the year 1910, at the same time as neighboring Ahuntsic. The district had a large housing boom in the 1960s and 1970s. Galeries de Normandie shopping mall is located in Bordeaux' north.

Canadians for Justice and Peace in the Middle East (CJPME) is a pan-Canadian grassroots advocacy organization established under a different name in 2002 in order to "empower Canadians of all backgrounds to promote justice, development and peace in the Middle East, and at home in Canada". Specifically, it seeks to achieve these goals through the creation of a Palestinian state, as well as by encouraging Canadian citizens to ensure that their government lives up to what the CJPME see as its legal and moral responsibilities in upholding human rights and humanitarian law both in Canada and internationally. For example, in November 2011 it criticised the Canadian government for not condemning the Israeli government's plan to expand a number of its settlements, which are considered illegal under international law as interpreted by the International Court of Justice.It adopted its current name in 2004.

Greater Montreal (French: Grand Montréal) is the most populous metropolitan area in Quebec and the second most populous in Canada after Greater Toronto. In 2015, Statistics Canada identified Montreal's Census Metropolitan Area (CMA) as 4,258.31 square kilometres (1,644.14 sq mi) with a population of 4,027,100, almost half that of the province. A smaller area of 3,838 square kilometres (1,482 sq mi) is governed by the Montreal Metropolitan Community (MMC) (French: Communauté métropolitaine de Montréal, CMM). This level of government is headed by a president (currently Montreal mayor Valérie Plante). The inner ring is composed of densely populated municipalities located in close proximity to Downtown Montreal. It includes the entire Island of Montreal, Laval, and the Urban Agglomeration of Longueuil. Due to their proximity to Montreal's downtown core, some additional suburbs on the South Shore (Brossard, Saint-Lambert, and Boucherville) are usually included in the inner ring, despite their location on the mainland. The outer ring is composed of low-density municipalities located on the fringe of Metropolitan Montreal. Most of these cities and towns are semi-rural. Specifically, the term off-island suburbs refers to those suburbs that are located on the North Shore of the Mille-Îles River, those on the South Shore that were never included in the megacity of Longueuil, and those on the Vaudreuil-Soulanges Peninsula.

Pont-Viau, Quebec is a district in the southern part of Laval, Quebec, Canada. It was a town before August 6, 1965. It was named after Viau Bridge, which links it to Ahuntsic-Cartierville in Montreal, Quebec.
