Mahtra Nature Reserve is a nature reserve which is located in Harju County, Estonia.The area of the nature reserve is 7610 ha.The protected area was founded in 1959 to protect Järlepa Manor Park with the lake. In 1964 also Amassaare Hill was taken under protection.

In 1858 a peasant insurgency called the Mahtra War took place at the Mahtra Manor.

Saula Blue Springs

The Saula Blue Springs (Estonian: Saula Siniallikad) are freshwater springs located in Saula Village, Kose Parish, Harju County in northern Estonia. There are three major springs that produce a flow of 20 to 30 litres (5.3 to 7.9 US gal) per second. The springs are differentiated by their color: Blue Spring (Siniallikas) is blue-green; Black Spring (Mustallikas) is brownish black; and White Spring (Valgeallikas) is blue-gray. The water from the springs flows into the Pirita River. The springs are protected as a natural monument, as well as a cultural heritage site.
