The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service Museum and Heritage Centre is a museum in Greenock, Inverclyde, Scotland. It is housed in a former fire station and is open to the public on one Sunday a month and on days when cruise ships are in port in Greenock. It is operated by the Scottish Fire Brigades Heritage Trust, a registered charity known from 2013 to 2022 as the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service Heritage Trust.

James Watt College was a further education college in Greenock, Scotland. It is now part of West College Scotland. There were also campuses in Largs and Kilwinning which now form part of Ayrshire College as the result of the merger with Kilmarnock College and Ayr College.

RAF Greenock was a Royal Air Force station in Greenock, Scotland from 1940 to 1945.RAF Greenock was created on 10 October 1940 as a maintenance base for RAF flying boats. Seaplanes had previously been used at the site in the 1930s. The base was hit on 7 May 1941 during the Greenock Blitz, when a hangar and storage facility were hit, and several aircraft were destroyed.The following units were here at some point: No. 2 Flying Boat Servicing Unit (September 1942 - 1945) No. 97 Maintenance Unit RAF (August - October 1945) No. 213 Maintenance Unit RAF (October 1945 - November 1947)Supermarine Stranraers, Consolidated Catalinas and Short Sunderlands were maintained at the site.It ceased to be an RAF base in 1945 but continued in civilian use until 1950.As of 2012, the RAF Club Greenock is still open.

Greenock Central station is one of eight railway stations serving the town of Greenock in western Scotland, and is the nearest to the town centre. This station, which is staffed, is on the Inverclyde Line, 37 km (23 mi) west of Glasgow Central towards Gourock. It has three platforms, two of which are in use, with one disused bay platform. This disused platform is still connected to the main line. It was originally the terminus before the railway was extended to Gourock and at that time was known as Greenock Cathcart station, as the access road to the station leads off the town's Cathcart Street.

Greenock Lynedoch was a railway station serving Greenock, Inverclyde, Scotland, originally as part of the Greenock and Ayrshire Railway.

Wellington Academy was a secondary school at Dempster Street in Greenock, Scotland serving the Eastern and Central areas of the town. In 2007 it merged with Greenock High School to form Inverclyde Academy. The 'Welly' was opened in August 1990, as a merger between Grovepark and Cowdeknowes High Schools. The school closed at the end of the 2007 summer term, with a roll of only around 450 pupils. The last head boy and head girl were Jonathan Glass and Mhairi Lyle. The last head teacher was Mr Billy Paul. The site the school once stood on has now been cleared, although the fencing and walls surrounding the school (from the days when the Mount School stood on the site) are retained. The site is proposed to be used for the location of the new Greenock Health Centre building.

Upper Greenock railway station was a railway station serving the town of Greenock, Inverclyde, Scotland, originally as part of the Greenock and Wemyss Bay Railway and later owned by the Caledonian Railway.

Greenock Royal Infirmary was a health facility in Greenock, Scotland. Its original Hospital or Infirmary of 1809 stood in Inverkip Street, it was subsequently extended round into East Shaw Street, then in 1869 a new building on the adjacent site at 2 Duncan Street formed the main address of the Hospital and Infirmary. It was renamed the Greenock Royal Infirmary in 1922.

Greenock ( ; Scots: Greenock; Scottish Gaelic: Grianaig, pronounced [ˈkɾʲiənɛkʲ]) is a town and administrative centre in the Inverclyde council area in Scotland, United Kingdom and a former burgh within the historic county of Renfrewshire, located in the west central Lowlands of Scotland. It forms part of a contiguous urban area with Gourock to the west and Port Glasgow to the east. The 2011 UK Census showed that Greenock had a population of 44,248, a decrease from the 46,861 recorded in the 2001 UK Census. It lies on the south bank of the Clyde at the "Tail of the Bank" where the River Clyde deepens into the Firth of Clyde.

The Watt Library or Watt Monument Library in Greenock, Scotland, opened on its current site in 1837 and was the direct descendant of the Greenock Library, a subscription library founded in 1783. It closed as a subscription library in 1971 and re-opened as a public facility in 1973 under the name of the Watt Library, specialising in Local History and Archives. The building was designed in the Gothic revival style by architect Sir Edward Blore and is a listed building. It has undergone recent refurbishment and re-opened in November 2019 as the Watt Institution, incorporating the McLean Museum Watt Lecture Hall and Inverclyde Archives.

The McLean Museum and Art Gallery (now officially the Watt Institution) is a museum and art gallery situated in Greenock, Inverclyde, Scotland. It is the main museum in the Inverclyde area, it is free to visit and was opened in 1876. Most notably it features an exhibition of items related to James Watt, the Greenock-born inventor, a Mummy Cartonnage from Herakleopolis Magna and a collection of British and Scottish art. The principal entrance to the museum is on Kelly Street, in the Greenock West area. The former curator is Val Boa. The Watt Institution includes the Art Gallery, Watt Hall, Watt Library and Inverclyde Archives.

Greenock Princes Pier was a railway station serving Greenock, Renfrewshire, Scotland, originally as part of the Greenock and Ayrshire Railway. It was approached by a tunnel sloping downhill under Greenock's west end, with railway sidings before the line crossed Brougham Street bridge over the main road to Gourock. The station was set on an embankment on the approach to Prince's Pier, with a line curving down to serve Albert Harbour.The area of the station, pier and the infilled Albert Harbour is now occupied by Greenock Ocean Terminal container port and cruise ship passenger terminal.
