Salara

Ficarolo is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Rovigo in the Italian region Veneto, located about 90 kilometres (56 mi) southwest of Venice and about 30 kilometres (19 mi) southwest of Rovigo. Ficarolo borders the following municipalities: Bagnolo di Po, Bondeno, Ferrara, Gaiba, Salara, Sermide e Felonica.

The Panaro is an Italian river and the final right-hand tributary to the Po, discounting the Cavo Napoleonico canal. It runs right across Emilia-Romagna in a north-easterly direction: from its source close to the Apennine watershed, where Emilia-Romagna meets Tuscany, to its outlet where the Po marks the region's boundary with Veneto. Its Latin name was Scultenna. It is 148 kilometres (92 mi) long, with a 2,292-square-kilometre (885 sq mi) drainage basin; alternating between aridity in summer and fullness in spring and autumn. Its principal source, the Rio delle Tagliole, rises at Foce a Giovo, Monte Rondinaio, some 12 kilometres (7 mi) south-west of highest peak of the Tuscan-Emillian Apennines, Monte Cimone, elevation 2,165 metres (7,103 ft). From here it flows down the valley in a northeastern direction. At Pievepelago (in the Province of Modena) it changes name to Scoltenna, assuming in the territory of Pavullo nel Frignano finally that of Panaro. In this area it makes up the border between the communities of Montana del Frignano and Montana dell’appennino Modena Est. Close to Modena, it joins the Naviglio de Modena and becomes navigable until its confluence with the Po, a little to the west of Ferrara. It runs through Vignola, Finale Emilia and Bondeno. Of particular historical and artistic interest is the bridge of Olina, constructed in 1522, crossing the river close to the small town of the same name, in the commune of Pavullo nel Frignano

Stienta is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Rovigo in the Italian region Veneto, located about 80 kilometres (50 mi) southwest of Venice and about 25 kilometres (16 mi) southwest of Rovigo. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 3,118 and an area of 24.1 square kilometres (9.3 sq mi).The municipality of Stienta contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Argine Sabato, Argine Valle Est, Argine Valle Ovest, Beccari, Bentivoglio, Boaria Gilliola, Boaria Guerra, Boaria Roveta, Boaria Val dell'Oca e Casetta, Boaria Val di Mezzo, Boaria Varotta, Brigo, Chiavicone, Fazzenda, Folega, Guratti, Ponte Favarzano, Prati Nuovi, Sabbioni, and Zampine. Stienta borders the following municipalities: Bagnolo di Po, Castelguglielmo, Ferrara, Fiesso Umbertiano, Gaiba, Occhiobello.

The Battle of Casaglia was a part of the Neapolitan War. An Austrian force under the command of Johann Friedrich von Mohr engaged a Neapolitan force under their commander, Joachim Murat. The battle took place around the village of Casaglia, seven miles northwest of Ferrara, and resulted in the Austrians recapturing the village from Murat.

The Church of Saint Paul (Italian: San Paolo Di Mirabello) is a church in Mirabello, Ferrara, Italy. It was damaged in the 2012 Northern Italy earthquakes.

The Battle of Occhiobello was fought on 8 April – 9 April 1815 and was the turning point of the Neapolitan War. Joachim Murat, King of Naples was repulsed by an Austrian force under the command of Johann Frimont whilst trying to cross the bridge over the Po River at Occhiobello. Following the battle, the Austrians would not lose an engagement for the remainder of the war.

Mirabello is a frazione of the comune (municipality) of Terre del Reno in the Province of Ferrara in the Italian region of Emilia-Romagna, located about 35 kilometres (22 mi) north of Bologna and about 12 kilometres (7 mi) west of Ferrara. It was a separate comune until 1 January 2017

Sant'Anna or Santa Maria e Sant'Anna is a Renaissance style, Roman Catholic church in the city of Lendinara, in the province of Rovigo, region of Veneto, Italy.

Lendinara is a comune in the province of Rovigo, Veneto, northern Italy. It is part of the historical and geographical region of Polesine. It is the birthplace of Domenico Montagnana (1680–1750), one of the world's finest violin and cello makers. Tenor Domenico Ronconi was also born in the town. In the latter part of the 19th century, it was the home of Jessie White Mario, the English woman who took an active part in the struggle for the Unification of Italy at the side of Mazzini and Garibaldi. Outside of the town stands the Sanctuary of Nostra Signora del Pilastrello (Our Lady of the Pilaster), at the site of a shrine built in the 16th century to house an icon of the Madonna. The abbey and church were reconstructed in the 19th century.

The Church of Sant'Agostino Parish is a Roman Catholic parish church in the frazione of Sant'Agostino, part of the comune (municipality) of Terre del Reno in the Province of Ferrara, Italy. The original church built in 1507 by commission from the Bianchetti family. By 1566, the church had its first reconstruction, and in 1626, the belltower was added; this was reconstructed in 1823. Just prior to becoming a parish church, the site had been part of the Oratorio dei Sacchi. In 1791–1792, the lateral naves were added and the nave elongated. The present Neoclassic facade dates to 1879. The main altarpiece was once attributed to Fra Stefano da Carpi (1710-1796), but more recent documents point to Jacopo Calvi, also called il Sordino (1740-1815).

The Sanctuary of the Madonna del Pilastrello is a Renaissance style, Roman Catholic minor basilica church in the city of Lendinara, in the province of Rovigo, region of Veneto, Italy.
