Grignano Polesine is a frazione of Rovigo with 3,000 inhabitants. It is approximately 8 km south of the town centre. With the name of Grignano di Polesine, assumed in 1867 after the precedent Grignano, it became an autonomous comune until 1927, when it became a frazione of Rovigo together with Boara Polesine, Borsea, Buso, Concadirame and Sant'Apollinare con Selva. The number of inhabitants, according to the past censi, was of 2,491 in 1871, 2,734 in 1881, 2,642 in 1901, 2,949 in 1911 and 3,186 in 1921.

Solesino is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Padua in the Italian region Veneto, located about 50 kilometres (31 mi) southwest of Venice and about 30 kilometres (19 mi) southwest of Padua. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 7,068 and an area of 10.3 square kilometres (4.0 sq mi).Solesino borders the following municipalities: Granze, Monselice, Pozzonovo, Sant'Elena, Stanghella.

Rovigo railway station (Italian: Stazione di Rovigo) serves the town and comune of Rovigo, in the Veneto region, northeastern Italy. Opened in 1866, the station forms part of the Padua–Bologna railway, a double track electrified line. Rovigo is also a junction station for two other lines. Heading eastwards, towards Adria and Chioggia, is the Rovigo–Chioggia railway, a single track non-electrified line, and heading west, towards Legnago and Verona, is the Verona–Legnago–Rovigo railway, also single track and non-electrified. The station is currently owned by Rete Ferroviaria Italiana (RFI). The commercial area of the passenger building is managed by Centostazioni. Main line train services to and from the station are operated by Trenitalia. Each of these companies is a subsidiary of Ferrovie dello Stato (FS), Italy's state-owned rail company. Regional trains on the two branch lines are operated by a consortium of Trenitalia and Sistemi Territoriali, a public company controlled by the region of Veneto.
