Castelvetro Piacentino, also known as Castelvetro (Piacentino: Castelvédar; Cremonese: Castelvédar), is a town and comune (municipality) in the Province of Piacenza in the Italian region Emilia-Romagna, located about 130 kilometres (81 mi) northwest of Bologna and about 25 kilometres (16 mi) east of Piacenza.

Cremona railway station (Italian: Stazione di Cremona) is the main station serving the city and comune of Cremona, in the region of Lombardy, northern Italy. Located on the Pavia–Mantua railway, it is terminus of the lines linking Cremona with Treviglio, Brescia, Piacenza and Fidenza. The station is currently managed by Rete Ferroviaria Italiana (RFI). However, the commercial area of the passenger building is managed by Centostazioni. Train services are operated by Trenord and Trenitalia.

Sant'Omobono is a Roman Catholic church located on the piazzetta di Sant'Omobono, in central Cremona, region of Lombardy, Italy. The church faces across the piazza, the Palazzo Pallavicino and Palazzo Cattaneo. The piazza was formerly a cemetery used during time of the plague.

The Teatro Amilcare Ponchielli is an opera house located in Cremona, Italy. For more than 250 years it has been that city's primary venue for opera and other theatrical presentations. The original theatre, built in 1747, was named the Teatro Nazari, but it was renamed as the Teatro della Società in 1785. It was sometimes referred to as the Nobile Associazione. After the original theatre burned down in 1806, construction began on the present theatre soon after. The current theatre was designed by Luigi Canonica and it opened in 1808 under the name the Teatro della Concordia. Its name was changed again to the Teatro Ponchielli in 1907 after the famous native of Cremona, Amilcare Ponchielli. In 1986 the theatre was purchased by the city of Cremona which renamed it once again as it is known today. The opening performance took place on 4 October and featured performances on the city-owned Stradivarius "Il Cremonese" and Guarneri "del Gesu" violins of 1715 and 1734 respectively. With its original horseshoe-shaped auditorium, the theatre was remodeled in 1989 to create three box tiers and two galleries with a total of 1,249 seats.

Paderno Ponchielli (Soresinese: Padèrnu; Cremunés: Padérnu) is a comune in the province of Cremona, in Lombardy, northern Italy. Before the unification of Italy in 1861, the town was known just as Paderno. After unification, the new government called on various municipalities with the same name to adjust and differentiate them. “Fasolaro” got added to the name Paderno. However, this did not meet with universal public approval as the word alluded to the production of common cowpeas (black-eyed peas) widespread in the area, which was considered as a possible source of mockery in neighboring communities. In 1878, Umberto I, King of Italy, changed the name from Paderno Fasolaro to Paderno Cremonese. In 1928, when Paderno merged with the neighboring Ossolaro, the area took the name Paderno Ossolaro. Then, in 1934, with the celebration of 100th birthday of their native son, the composer Amilcare Ponchielli, the citizens petitioned to change the name to Paderno Ponchielli to honor him. On November 25, 1950, by a decree of the President of the Republic, Luigi Einaudi, the municipality came to be officially called Paderno Ponchielli.

The Loggia dei Militi (Italian: "Soldiers' Loggia") is a historical building in Cremona, northern Italy. As reported by an inscription on its façade, it was built in 1292. On the façade is reported the blazon (Gonfalone) of the City of Cremona: four lions that respectively represent the four city gates: Ariberta, Pertusia, San Lorenzo and Natali. The Loggia was the seat of assemblies for the local "Società dei Militi". It is constituted by two rectangular rooms. Under the portico is the coat of arms of Cremona, composed by two Ercoli that held the main blazon of the city (According to the legend, Ercole was the founder of Cremona). The coat of arms was moved here from the Margherita Gate when the latter was demolished in 1910.

Cremona (, also UK: ; Italian: [kreˈmoːna]; Cremunés: Cremùna; Emilian: Carmona) is a city and comune in northern Italy, situated in Lombardy, on the left bank of the Po river in the middle of the Pianura Padana (Po Valley). It is the capital of the province of Cremona and the seat of the local city and province governments. The city of Cremona is especially noted for its musical history and traditions, including some of the earliest and most renowned luthiers, such as Giuseppe Guarneri, Antonio Stradivari, Francesco Rugeri, Vincenzo Rugeri, and several members of the Amati family.

The Torrazzo is the bell tower of the Cathedral of Cremona, Lombardy, in northern Italy. The Torrazzo measures 112.54 metres (369+1⁄4 ft), and it is known as the third tallest brickwork bell tower in the world, the first being the tower of St. Martin's Church in Landshut, Bavaria, and the second at the Church of Our Lady in Bruges, Belgium. However, the Torrazzo (completed in 1309) is older than the Landshut tower (completed in 1500) and the Bruges tower (completed in 1465), and it is the oldest brick structure taller than 100 m that is still standing. According to popular tradition, construction on the tower began in 754. In reality, it was built in four phases: a first dating back to the 1230s, up to the third dripstone, a second, between 1250 and 1267, up to the dripstone under the quadriphore, a third around 1284, and the completion of the marble spire in 1309. Its height is announced by a plaque embedded in the wall at the base of the Torrazzo itself, stating 250 arms and 2 ounces, which in the ancient measuring system of the Lombard towns translates to approximately 111 metres. Archaeological excavations made in the 1980s have discovered the presence of underlying structures which are supposed to be the remains of a more ancient churchyard (or a cemetery associated to it), or even previous Roman buildings.

The Cremona Baptistery (Italian: Battistero di Cremona) is a religious edifice in Cremona, northern Italy. It is annexed to the city's Cathedral. Built in 1167, it is characterized by an octagonal plan, a reference to the cult of St. Ambrose of Milan, symbolizing the Eight Day of Resurrection and, thenceforth, the Baptism. The edifice mixes Romanesque and Lombard-Gothic styles, the latter evident in the preference for bare brickwork walls. To the 16th century restorations belong the marble cover of some walls, the pavement and the baptismal font (1531) and the narthex (1588) of the entrance, in Romanesque style, work by Angelo Nani. The interior has a 14th-century Crucifix, over the St. John altar, and two wooden statues portraying "St. Philip Neri" and "St. John the Baptist" by Giovanni Bertesi. Over the ceiling is a 12th-century statue of the Archangel Gabriel.

Cremona Cathedral (Italian: Duomo di Cremona, Cattedrale di Santa Maria Assunta), dedicated to the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, is a Catholic cathedral in Cremona, Lombardy, northern Italy. It is the seat of the Bishop of Cremona. Its bell tower is the famous Torrazzo, symbol of the city and tallest pre-modern tower in Italy. Also adjoining is the baptistery, another important medieval monument.

San Facio, also commonly called the Chiesa del Foppone, is a late Baroque architecture, Roman Catholic, now deconsecrated church in Cremona, region of Lombardy, Italy. The church was completed in 1781, to officiate the burials in the surrounding ossuary of those dying in the adjacent hospital (Ospedale Maggiore e Ospedale Vecchio) of Cremona. It was called Foppone because of it operational similarity to the Nuovi Sepolcri (1695) in Milan. The surrounding large cemetery crypts in the portico formed part of an 18th-century urge to provide, systematize, and formalize the burials for the indigent. From the courtyard, the architecture seems dour except for the domes of the church. The interior of the church in Greek Cross layout, is decorated by Giovanni Manfredini with Grotteschi, an ornamentation then utilized in cemetery churches due to their prevalence in Roman catacombs. A guide from 1820 cites the first altar on the right of the entrance has a Caravaggesque canvas depicting Christ healing the blind man, by Pietro Martire Neri or Negri. The main altarpiece is a Deposition from the Cross with the Virgin Mother, the Magdalen, and Joseph d' Arimathea (1569) by Vincenzo Campi. The altar on the left, has a Virgin and Child with San Facio with a Basket of Bread dispensing food to the poor and maimed (1593) by Andrea Mainardi (called il Chiaveghino). The site was closed for burials in the 1970s and administration transferred to the Commune.
