Kaiser-Franz-Josefs-Höhe

The Fuscherkarkopf, sometimes also written Fuscher-Kar-Kopf in German and formerly also called the Fuschereiskarkopf, is one of the twin peaks of a mountain in the Glockner Group in the centre of the main mountain chain (Mittleren Tauernhauptkamm) in the High Tauern, a range in the Austrian Central Alps. The mountain lies right on the border between the Austrian states of Salzburg and Carinthia. The main peak is 3,331 metres high, but the northwest summit is only 3,252 metres high. The two peaks are about 500 metres apart and linked by a curved firn-covered ridge. Further sharp, prominent ridges run away to the northwest and west, forming the main crest of the Tauern. To the southwest the Heiligenblut Open Face (Heiligenbluter Freiwand) branches off, a mighty side ridge that starts as the southeast ridge (Südostgrat) at the Fuscherkarkopf. The northwest summit has a great, 650-metre-high (2,130 ft) West Face (Westwand), that used to be covered with firn, but today is covered with loose rock slabs. The mountain is easy to reach from the Hofmanns Hut over the southwest ridge (Südwestgrat) and offers a good view of the Großglockner and the Pasterze. The peak was first climbed in the 1840s by the hunter, Gregor Maier, known as Badhans, from Fusch.

The Pasterze, at approximately 8.4 kilometres (5.2 mi) in length, is the longest glacier in Austria and in the Eastern Alps. It lies within the Glockner Group of the High Tauern mountain range in Carinthia, directly beneath Austria's highest mountain, the Grossglockner.

The Racherin, a mountain with a height of 3,092 m (AA), lies in the Glockner Group in the High Tauern range in Austria. The summit is located ca. 6 km, as the crow flies, northwest of Heiligenblut in the state of Carinthia. The unmarked and mostly trackless normal route is not difficult in snow-free and dry conditions, but is rather laborious. An ascent therefore requires a good sense of direction. In suitable weather there are good views from the top, including an impressive view of the Großglockner and the surrounding mountain world.

The Hohe Dock lies in the Austrian federal state of Salzburg and, at 3,348 metres, is one of the highest peaks in the Glockner Group. The mountain, with its striking trapezoidal shape, dominates the orographically left-hand side of the valley of the Fuscher Ache and the panorama above the northern ramp of the Großglockner High Alpine Road. Its secondary peak, the southeastern summit, reaches a height of 3,268 m above sea level (AA).

The Große Bärenkopf ("Great Bear's Head") or Weißer Bärenkopf ("White Bear's Head") is a twin-topped mountain in the Glockner Group in the Fuscher/Kapruner Kamm of the High Tauern, a range in the Austrian Central Alps. The mountain lies exactly on the border between the states of Salzburg and Carinthia. The main summit is 3,396 m (AA) metres high; the west summit reaches a height of 3,353 m. The two peaks are about 300 metres away from one another. There are arêtes running away from the top in all four direction of the compass. Seen from the northeast, the Großer Bärenkopf, has the shape of a wide, prominent, firn- covered mountain. From the other directions it looks like a rocky peak. The mountain was first climbed on 18 September 1869 by Munich Alpinists Karl Hofmann, Prague merchant, Johann Stüdl, and mountain guides Thomas Groder and Josef Schnell from Kals am Großglockner on their exploratory tour, that took them on the same day to the neighbouring peaks of the Hinterer Bratschenkopf and Klockerin to the north. Today the Großer Bärenkopf is often climbed during a crossing from the Oberwalder Hut and the Heinrich Schwaiger Haus.

The Klockerin, formerly also called the Glockerin or Glocknerin, is a twin-peaked mountain in the Glockner Group on the ridge of Fuscher/Kapruner Kamm in the High Tauern, a range within the Central Alps in the Austrian state of Salzburg. Its southwest top (Südwestgipfel) is 3,422 m (AA) high, its northeast top (Nordostgipfel) has a height of 3,335 m. The two summits are about 240 metres apart. A prominent arête runs westwards; the west-northwestern arête is a short, but knife-edge ridge of rock. The Klockerin has a mighty Northwest Face which is 920 metres high and has a gradient of 54°. The mountain is geographically dominant compared with the southern and western neighbouring peaks. Especially from the west, where the Mooserboden Reservoir (surface at 2,036 m) lies, the Klockerin appears as a mighty massif. The mountain was first climbed on 18 September 1869 by German alpinist, Karl Hofmann, Prague merchant, Johann Stüdl and mountain guides, Thomas Groder and Josef Schnell from Kals am Großglockner.

The Johannisberg (formerly also called Keeserkopf and Herzoghut) is a 3,453 metres (11,329 ft) high mountain in the Glockner Group of the High Tauern, a mountain range of the Central Eastern Alps in Austria. The peak is located in the central section of the main Tauern crest, right on the border between the Austrian states of Salzburg and Carinthia, near the tripoint with East Tyrol. It was given its present name in honour of Archduke John of Austria by the Regensburg botanist David Heinrich Hoppe in 1832, on the occasion of a failed attempt to advance into the area beyond the Riffltor (3,094 m). The Johannisberg has, seen from the east, a firn-capped dome shape, its western side consists of a mighty, 450 metre high and 50° inclined West Face. Long, prominent, knife-edge ridges radiate away from it to the northwest and southwest. The mountain is a popular destination for walkers and climbers due to its easy accessibility.

The Edelweißspitze is a summit in High Tauern, located in Salzburg, Austria north of the Alpine divide. It can be accessed by car from Edelweißstraße, a branch-off from Grossglockner High Alpine Road, starting from Fuscher Törl and is the highest-accessible point of the road. Originally, its height was 2577m before building the parking lot and was named Poneck, Leitenkogel or Bergerkogel. It serves as a scenic viewpoint of the High Tauern National Park with views to summits of the Glockner Group. In north-west direction, there is a hut which includes a restaurant.

The Rote Knopf (3,281 m (AA)) is the second highest mountain in the Schober Group within the High Tauern in the Austrian Alps. It is only two metres short of the Petzeck, the highest summit in the Schober. Nevertheless, this peak is far less well known that the Hochschober or the Glödis. This is probably because the mountain is not visible from the valleys of the Kalser Tal or the anterior Debanttal. The easiest ascent runs from the Elberfelder Hut following the waymarking southwards before turning west and running along the southeastern arête to the summit. This climb not only requires sure-footedness, but also exposed, albeit not difficult, climbing at grade I. From the summit, Austria's highest mountain, the Großglockner, may be seen prominently to the north.

The Elberfelder Hut (German: Elberfelder Hütte) is a mountain hut belonging to the German Alpine Club in the Schober Group within the Austrian Alps. The mountain hut stands at 2,346 m in the upper Gößnitz valley and is managed from mid-June to mid-September. The Wuppertal branch of the German Alpine Club is responsible for it. The Siegburg and Recklinghausen branches also participate in managing the hut.

The Hoher Tenn, formerly also called the Hochtenn, is a double-peaked mountain in the Austrian federal state of Salzburg. It has a southwest summit, called the Bergspitze with a height of 3,368 metres (11,050 ft), and a northeast summit, the Schneespitze, which is 3,317 metres (10,883 ft) high. The Tenn belongs to the Glockner Group in the central part of the High Tauern in the Austrian Central Alps. Between the two summits at a height of 3,293 metres (10,804 ft) is the Tenn Saddle (Tennsattel). Long knife-edge ridges run away to the northeast and northwest. It has a large topographical prominence, especially to the north, which, together with its easy accessibility, make it a popular climbing mountain. Seen from Zell am See in the Pinzgau it is second only to the Imbachhorn (2,470 metres (8,100 ft)) in dominating the Tauern panorama.

Gößnitzkopf is a mountain in the Schober Group of the Hohe Tauern range. It is located in Austria, along the border of East Tyrol and Carinthia. The elevation at its peak is 3,096 metres (10,157 ft). The nearest municipalities are Nußdorf-Debant, Tyrol to the west and Heiligenblut, Carinthia to the east.
