Cathay Shi-Wei Financial Center

The Han-Hsien International Hotel (traditional Chinese: 寒軒國際大飯店; simplified Chinese: 寒轩国际大饭店; pinyin: Hánxuān Guójì Dà Fàndiàn), also known as Linden Hotel, is a 160.3 metres (526 ft) tall skyscraper located in Lingya District of Kaohsiung, Taiwan. It was completed in 1994 and was designed by Kris Yao. The building is 42-stories tall and has a total floor space of 69,815 m2. When it was completed in 1994, it was the third tallest buildings in Kaohsiung at the time after Chang-Gu World Trade Center and Asia-Pacific Financial Plaza.

Lingya District (Chinese: 苓雅區; pinyin: Língyǎ Qū) is a district of Kaohsiung, Taiwan. The 85 Sky Tower and the Kaohsiung City Hall are located here. Lingya District is the administrative center of Kaohsiung City along with Fongshan District. Its population is around 163,850 as of October 2023. It is the 6th most-populated district in Kaohsiung, with a population density of 19,916 people per square kilometer, or 51,581 people per square mile. It has a area of 8.1522 square kilometers, or 3.1476 square miles. The average elevation of Lingya is 6 meters, or 20 feet.

Sanduo Shopping District (Chinese: 三多商圈; pinyin: Sāndūo Shāngqūan is an affluent shopping, eating and entertainment district of Kaohsiung. Sanduo Shopping District began to rise in the late 1990s after Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Department Store and Pacific Sogo Department Store (today's Far East SOGO Department Store) opened branches in the area. Thus, it is often known as the "Manhattan of Kaohsiung".

The Water Tower Park (traditional Chinese: 自來水公園; simplified Chinese: 自来水公园; pinyin: Zìláishuǐ Gōngyuán) is a park in Lingya District, Kaohsiung, Taiwan.

The Cathay Central Plaza, formerly known as Wang-Xiang Central Plaza (Chinese: 國泰中央廣場), is a 30-story, 135 metres (443 ft) skyscraper office building completed in 2000 in Cianjhen District, Kaohsiung, Taiwan. Designed by Liu Associates, this building has a triangular footprint and is topped by a pyramid. It is owned by the Mountain Group, which also owns the Shr-Hwa Financial Center in Kaohsiung. As of February 2021, it is the 24th tallest building in Kaohsiung.

Sanduo Shopping District is a station on the Red line of Kaohsiung MRT in Lingya District, Kaohsiung, Taiwan. The station is named after the Sanduo Shopping District.

The Kaohsiung Cultural Center (Chinese: 高雄市文化中心; pinyin: Gāoxióngshì Wénhuà Zhōngxīn) is a cultural center located in Lingya District of Kaohsiung, Taiwan. It was founded by the city government in 1981. The main building of the center is a complex of two concert halls, many galleries, and a library. The office of Kaohsiung Bureau of Cultural Affairs is also located in Kaohsiung Cultural Center.

Shinkuchan (Chinese: 新堀江; pinyin: Xīnkūjīang) is a car-free shopping, eating and entertainment district of Kaohsiung. Shinkuchan is a collection of several streets and alleys and is packed with boutique clothing shops and restaurants along with many stalls selling food, snacks, and drinks. Shinkuchan shops and stalls start to open mid-afternoon and the neighbourhood has many small alleys with small houses that have been turned into places to eat.

The Asia Plaza (Chinese: 亞洲企業中心; pinyin: Yàzhōu qì yè zhōngxīn) is a vision supertall skyscraper that will rise 431 m (1,414 ft) in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. The building will comprise 103 floors above ground as well as 7 basement levels. It is a part of the Asia Plaza Tri-Tower Complex, that comprise three buildings: the 103-storey Asia Plaza, the 49-storey Far Eastern Ding Ding Hotel and the 18-storey Mega'21 Far Eastern Shopping Complex, of which only the shopping complex was completed in 2001.The building was proposed in 1997 and was originally scheduled to start construction in 2004 upon the completion of the Mega'21 Far Eastern Shopping Complex. It was planned to be completed in 2008. However, the development schedule has been delayed several times, and construction is currently scheduled to start in 2021 and be completed in 2024. After the building is complete, Asia Plaza will surpass 85 Sky Tower to become the tallest skyscraper in Kaohsiung City and the second tallest building in Taiwan.

The National Kaohsiung Normal University (NKNU; Kaohsiung Normal University), was founded in 1967. It is a public university located in Lingya District, Kaohsiung, Taiwan. The university has two campuses namely Ho-Ping and Yen-Chao. The University currently has five colleges: College of Education, College of Humanities, College of Science, College of Technology, and College of Arts.

The Vespi Tower (Chinese: 維士比大樓; pinyin: Wéi shì bǐ dàlóu) is a skyscraper office building completed in 1998 in Cianjin District, Kaohsiung, Taiwan. The architectural height of the building is 149 m (489 ft), with a roof height of 130 m (430 ft), and it comprises 32 floors above ground.

Sinsing District (Chinese: 新興區; Hanyu Pinyin: Xīnxīng Qū; Tongyong Pinyin: Sinsing Cyu; Wade–Giles: Hsin1-hsing1 Ch'ü1) is a downtown district of Kaohsiung City, Taiwan.
