The canton of Lille-4 is an administrative division of the Nord department, northern France. It was created at the French canton reorganisation which came into effect in March 2015. Its seat is in Lille.It consists of the following communes: Lezennes Lille (partly) Ronchin

The University of Lille (French: Université de Lille, abbreviated as ULille, UDL or univ-lille) is a French public research university based in Lille, Hauts-de-France. It has its origins in the University of Douai (1559), and resulted from the merger of three universities – Lille 1 University of Science and Technology, Lille 2 University of Health and Law, and Charles de Gaulle University – Lille III in 2018. With more than 74,000 students, it is one of the largest universities in France and one of the largest French-speaking universities in the world. Since 2017, the university has been funded as one of the French universities of excellence. It benefits from an endowment of 500 million euros to accelerate its strategy in education, research, international development and outreach. With 66 research labs, 350 PhD theses supported per year and 3,000 scientific publications each year, it is well represented in the research community; it collaborates with many organizations (Pasteur Institute of Lille, CHU Lille University Hospital, CNRS, INSERM, INRA, INRIA etc.) and schools (École Centrale de Lille, École des Mines-Télécom de Lille-Douai (IMT Lille Douai), Sciences Po Lille etc.). Until 2019, the university was the main component of the Community of Universities and Institutions (COMUE) Lille Nord de France. It still operates the European Doctoral College, which federates universities and other higher learning institutes in the Hauts-de-France region.

The Pasteur Institute of Lille (French: Institut Pasteur de Lille, Pasteur-Lille, IPL) is a research centre and member of the Pasteur Institute network. It includes 14 research units and 1,150 employees including 626 researchers located in Lille, France. There are also 300 employees located outside the Pasteur site. Its revenues are above €70 million. Several neuroscience start-up companies have emerged from the Pasteur Institute of Lille.

The Lille 2 University of Health and Law (French: Université Lille 2 : Droit et Santé) was a French university for health, sports, management and law. It was located in Lille and was part of the Community of Universities and Institutions (COMUE) Lille Nord de France. The University of Lille II inherits from the Faculty of Law established as the Université de Douai in 1559. After, sciences and technologies are taught in an independent campus of Université de Lille I - USTL, while literature and social sciences are taught as part of the independent campus of Université de Lille III - Charles de Gaulle. Altogether, the universities of Lille include more than 90,000 students and are the core parts of the European Doctoral College Lille-Nord-Pas de Calais that includes 3,000 PhD Doctorate students supported by university research laboratories. Henri Warembourg was president of this university. His son, Nicolas Warembourg, is professor of law in Sorbonne.Since 1970, the main campus of University de Lille II in situated in Ronchin, in the southern part of Lille. It includes 24,000 students 1,050 faculty members and 830 staff 50 research labs, associated to the European Doctoral College Lille Nord-Pas de Calais 250 courses towards nationally accredited degrees and 170 courses towards university diploma.At the beginning of 2018, the three universities of Lille (Lille 1, Lille 2, Lille 3) merged to form the University of Lille.

Christ Church Lille is an English-speaking Anglican Church located in the city of Lille in Nord-Pas-de-Calais, the Flemish area of France. Christ Church Lille is part of the Church of England, Diocese in Europe.

Lille-Saint-Sauveur is a former goods station of Lille with some of the buildings has been converted into recreational areas and exhibition on the occasion of the events of Lille 3000 in 2009.

Lille-Flandres station (French: Gare de Lille-Flandres, Dutch: Rijsel Vlaanderen) is the main railway station of Lille, capital of French Flanders. It is a terminus for SNCF Intercity and regional trains. It opened in 1842 as the Gare de Lille, but was renamed in 1993 when Lille Europe station opened. There is a 500m walking distance between the two stations, which are also adjacent stops on one of the lines of the Lille Metro.

The Musée d'Histoire Naturelle de Lille, or Lille Natural History Museum, was founded in 1822. It houses zoological and geological collections. Its holdings have recently been enhanced by ethnographic specimens from the Musée Moillet and industrial objects from the old Musée Industriel et Commercial de Lille. The museum's address is 19 Rue de Bruxelles.

Lille Synagogue (French: Synagogue de Lille) is an Ashkenazi Jewish synagogue in Lille, France.The Jewish presence in Lille began shortly after Alsace returned to German rule in 1871. Built in the Romano-Byzantine style and opened in 1891, it is the oldest synagogue in the department of Nord. It is one of few synagogues to have survived intact from the Nazi occupation of France, as the Nazis used it to store weapons. In 1984, it was classified as a monument historique.It is owned by the city and operated by the local community. In January 2022, it reopened after three years of restorations, which were intended to bring its appearance back to how it looked when it opened. The initial budget for restorations was €1.5 million. In November 2018, to raise funds for the renovation and to educate the local community, it ran a mojito bar with guided tours.

The Église Saint-Maurice is a church on Rue Pierre-Mauroy, in the historic centre of Lille, northern France. Its construction began at the end of the 14th century and completed at the end of the 19th century, and it was extended over more than four centuries. A hall church in the Gothic style, it was made a monument historique in 1914.

The Lille Braderie (French: Braderie de Lille) is a braderie, or annual street market/flea market, that takes place on the weekend of the first Sunday of September in Lille, France, in the northern Hauts-de-France region. Its dates back to the 12th century, welcoming nearly three million visitors each year. The Braderie de Lille is one of the largest gatherings in France and the largest flea market in Europe. The braderie has a 100km of aisles for 10,000 exhibitors.This event is surrounded by concerts, a fun fair, a half-marathon that precedes it, increased catering in the city (various mobile stands added to the local restaurants, Moules-frites (the traditional dish), and regional beers). It is an opportunity for many (especially for the students of Lille) to party all night in the city and its many bars. Resulting in slowly growing heaps of restaurant mussels shells. The 2016 market was cancelled by the mayor Martine Aubry due to security fears because of recent terrorism in France.

Euralille is an urban quarter in the centre of Lille, France. Conceived as a major European business district in the 1980s, it is strategically located at the intersection of the high-speed railway lines linking Paris, Brussels, and London, and incorporates the Gare de Lille Europe and Gare de Lille Flandres railway stations. The master plan was commissioned in 1988 to the Office of Metropolitan Architecture (OMA) led by Rem Koolhaas.
