New Boston Space Force Station (BOSS) is a United States Space Force facility located in Hillsborough County in south central New Hampshire. It was transferred from the United States Air Force to the Space Force in the summer of 2020.The installation occupies more than 2,800 acres (11 km2) in three towns: New Boston, Amherst, and Mont Vernon. It was originally established in 1942 as a practice area for bombers and fighter planes from nearby Grenier Army Air Field (now Manchester–Boston Regional Airport). Starting in 1959, it was turned into a satellite-tracking station, providing the facility's most prominent feature, the weatherproof radomes which dot the hillside. BOSS has been providing support for northernly launches from KSC/Cape Canaveral for decades, and has supported the Shuttle and Titan IV programs. Since 2020 the facility has also provided line of sight telemetry tracking for commercial space launches by SpaceX.New Boston SFS is operated by the 23rd Space Operations Squadron (23 SOPS), a geographically separated unit (GSU) of Space Delta 6, part of Space Base Delta 1 at Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado. The 23rd SOPS operates and maintains the largest Satellite Control Network remote tracking station at New Boston SFS, as well as at three other GSU's located at Thule Air Base, Greenland, RAF Oakhanger, United Kingdom, and the Eastern Vehicle Checkout Facility located at Cape Canaveral, Florida. The squadron provides real-time capability to users performing on-orbit tracking, telemetry, commanding and mission data retrieval services. Additionally, the squadron provides remote command and control capability through two Global Positioning System Control stations located at Cape Canaveral and Ascension Island in the South Atlantic Ocean. The squadron also operates and maintains a Defense Satellite Communications System Heavy Earth Terminal, and additional equipment in support of the National Oceanographic Atmospheric Administration and other mission partners. The installation and infrastructure are said to be worth more than $106 million.

The Middle Branch of the Piscataquog River is a 10.6-mile-long (17.1 km) river in southern New Hampshire in the United States. It is a tributary of the South Branch Piscataquog River, part of the Merrimack River watershed. The Middle Branch begins at the outlet of Haunted Lake in the eastern part of Francestown. The river travels east-northeast through the town of New Boston, entering Weare, where it turns abruptly south to reenter New Boston and join the South Branch.

The Uncanoonuc Mountains are two small mountain peaks in Goffstown, New Hampshire, United States. The north peak, the highest point in Goffstown, has an elevation of 1,324 feet (404 m) above sea level, and the south peak rises to 1,321 feet (403 m).The name may be derived from the Massachusett language term kuncannowet (Massachusett for 'breast').The area was developed in the early 1900s as a resort with a hotel and incline railway. The mountains are still a good spot for hiking, snowshoeing, and scenic views of the nearby skyline of Manchester, as well as Mount Monadnock, Mount Kearsarge, and even, on a clear day, the faint skyline of Boston. They were the site of a small ski operation in the 1930s and 1940s, served by the incline railway that went up the south peak. With three main trails from top to bottom, it was a popular ski destination until 1941, when the railway was damaged by a fire. The incline railway has since been converted to a hiking trail.A new development was planned in the 1960s for the north peak, commencing in 1963. Chairlift and snow making equipment was ordered, several trails were cleared, but the project was halted by the town of Goffstown because of environmental concerns. In response to the failure, the city of Manchester opened its own area, McIntyre, in 1971.The south peak contains transmitting facilities for many of the broadcast stations, including WMUR-TV, serving the Manchester area.

WMUR-TV (channel 9) is a television station licensed to Manchester, New Hampshire, United States, broadcasting ABC programming to most of New Hampshire. Owned by Hearst Television, the station maintains studios on South Commercial Street in downtown Manchester, and its transmitter is located on the south peak of Mount Uncanoonuc in Goffstown. Manchester is part of the larger Boston television market, making WMUR-TV part of a nominal duopoly with that city's ABC affiliate, WCVB-TV (channel 5); however, the two stations maintain separate operations. As a result, WMUR is the only New Hampshire-based television station with a news operation. In addition to WCVB-TV, WMUR-TV shares common coverage areas with four sister stations: the Portland, Maine, duopoly of ABC affiliate WMTW and CW affiliate WPXT; and the Burlington, Vermont, duopoly of CW affiliate WNNE in Montpelier and Plattsburgh, New York–based NBC affiliate WPTZ.

WGIR-FM (101.1 MHz) is a commercial radio station in Manchester, New Hampshire, airing a mainstream rock radio format, branded as Rock 101. The station serves the Merrimack Valley area (including Concord and Nashua), and is owned by iHeartMedia, Inc., America's largest owner of radio stations. According to Nielsen Audio, WGIR-FM is usually the #2 rated radio station in the Manchester radio market behind 95.7 WZID. Weekdays begin with the comedy radio show Greg and the Morning Buzz, hosted by Greg Kretschmar. It is shared with co-owned 100.3 WHEB in Portsmouth, and also heard on 104.9 WLKZ in Wolfeboro. The rest of the day, local DJs are heard. On Sunday nights, WGIR-FM carries the syndicated radio show The House of Hair with Dee Snider. WGIR-FM's studios and offices are on Foundry Street in Manchester. The transmitter is on Mount Uncanoonuc, off Perimeter Road in Goffstown, near other towers serving Southern New Hampshire TV and FM stations.Following the demise of WAAF (107.3 FM) with its sale to the Educational Media Foundation, WGIR-FM has gained listenership in the northern parts of Greater Boston and Worcester County, Massachusetts, alongside Providence, Rhode Island sister station WHJY (94.1 FM), though WHJY has a clearer signal in much of the Boston area compared to WGIR-FM's signal.

WZID (95.7 FM) is an American radio station with an adult contemporary format. WZID is located on Commercial Street in Manchester, New Hampshire. Its signal can be heard as far south as the Massachusetts Turnpike, as far east as southern Maine and as far west as Vermont. WZID also broadcasts in HD Radio.

WMLL (96.5 FM; "96.5 The Mill") is an American radio station licensed to Bedford, New Hampshire, with studios located on Commercial Street in Manchester. WMLL is owned by Saga Communications, and operates as part of its Manchester Radio Group.

New Boston is a town in Hillsborough County, New Hampshire, United States. The population was 6,108 at the 2020 census, up from 5,321 at the 2010 census. New Boston is home to the annual Hillsborough County Agricultural Fair and the Molly Stark Cannon. The 1743 cannon, which appears on the town seal, was given by General John Stark to the New Boston Artillery Company after the Battle of Bennington.The town's central village is listed as the New Boston census-designated place, with a population in 2020 of 326.

The South Branch of the Piscataquog River is a 20.5-mile-long (33.0 km) river located in southern New Hampshire in the United States. It is a tributary of the Piscataquog River, part of the Merrimack River watershed. The South Branch of the Piscataquog begins at the outlet of Pleasant Pond in Francestown, New Hampshire. The river travels south-southeast until entering New Boston, where it turns northeast to flow to the Piscataquog River just over the town line in Goffstown. For most of its route, the South Branch passes through rolling, hilly country, occasionally dropping over small waterfalls. New Hampshire Route 13 follows the river closely from New Boston to Goffstown.

Parker's Store is a historic retail building at 18 Parker Station Road in Goffstown, New Hampshire. The two-story wood-frame structure was built before 1804, and is one of the state's few surviving early retail structures. It has been home to the Goffstown Historical Society since 1973, when it was donated by the Parker family. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.
