West Bromwich ( BROM-itch) is a market town in the borough of Sandwell, West Midlands, England. Historically part of Staffordshire, it is 7 miles (11 kilometres) northwest of Birmingham. West Bromwich is part of the area known as the Black Country, in terms of geography, culture and dialect. West Bromwich had a population of 103,112 in the 2021 Census.Initially a rural village, West Bromwich's growth corresponded with that of the Industrial Revolution, owing to the area's natural richness in ironstone and coal, as well as its proximity to canals and railway branches. It led to the town becoming a centre for coal mining, brick making, the iron industry and metal trades such as nails, springs and guns. The town's primary economy developed into engineering, manufacturing and the automotive industry through the early 20th century. During the Second World War, West Bromwich experienced bombing from the German Luftwaffe. It also suffered heavily during recessions in the mid 1970s, early 1980s and late 2000s.The town is known for its football club West Bromwich Albion, who have played in the town since the club's formation in 1878. It is also home to parts of Sandwell Valley Country Park and Sandwell Valley RSPB nature reserve.

West Bromwich bus station is a bus interchange in the town of West Bromwich in the West Midlands of England. It is managed by Transport for West Midlands. Local bus services operated by various bus companies serve the bus station which has 24 departure stands. The West Bromwich Central tram stop on the West Midlands Metro is across the road from the bus station. It opened in the spring of 2002 to replace the previous station, which had served the town for some 30 years, at a nearby location which was later developed as The Public arts centre. The station features a mosaic artwork, Anamorphic Portico, by local sculptor Steve Field, which makes use of anamorphic columns and includes images loosely derived from David Christie Murray's book A Capful o’ Nails. An old Bundy clock is also displayed on the concourse.

West Bromwich Central tram stop is a tram stop in the town centre of West Bromwich in the West Midlands, England. It was opened on 31 May 1999 and is situated on West Midlands Metro Line 1. It occupies the site of the former West Bromwich railway station on the Great Western Railway line from Birmingham Snow Hill to Wolverhampton Low Level. The town's main shopping centres are opposite the tram stop, along with the town's main bus station and Sandwell College's main campus. In 2015/16 it was the most heavily used intermediate stop on Line 1.

West Bromwich railway station was a station on the Great Western Railway's London Paddington to Birkenhead via Birmingham Snow Hill line. It opened in 1854 and served the town of West Bromwich in the English West Midlands. It was closed along with the line in 1972.

Sandwell College is the only College of Further Education in Sandwell, West Midlands, England. It predominantly serves Sandwell, West Birmingham and adjacent areas of Dudley, Walsall and Wolverhampton. Following seven years of growth in student numbers, some 6000 16–18-year-old students currently study in the college. The college's £77 million 'Central Campus' was opened on Spon Lane in West Bromwich in March 2012; it houses facilities for teaching a wide variety of skills-based courses to school leavers and adults.

It was opened on 31 May 1999 and is situated on West Midlands Metro Line 1. The stop is located in a deep cutting, and a lift has been installed to take passengers to and from street level, as well as a spiral walkway. In 2015/16 it was the least used stop on Line 1.
