Sandfly is a suburb in the Kingborough Council local government area in Tasmania, Australia. A region of the Franklin Electorate, Sandfly is a historic area that sits between the suburbs of Longley, Lower Longley, Allens Rivulet, Margate, Leslie Vale and Kaoota. The population of Sandfly in 2011 was 156.

Kaoota is a rural residential locality in the local government areas (LGA) of Kingborough and Huon Valley in the Hobart and South-east LGA regions of Tasmania. The locality is about 18 kilometres (11 mi) south-west of the town of Kingston. The 2016 census recorded a population of 202 for the state suburb of Kaoota.

Longley is a rural residential locality in the local government area of Kingborough in the Hobart region of Tasmania. It is located about 13 kilometres (8.1 mi) west of the town of Kingston. The 2016 census has a population of 234 for the state suburb of Longley.

Leslie Vale is a rural residential locality in the local government area (LGA) of Kingborough in the Hobart LGA region of Tasmania. The locality is about 8 kilometres (5.0 mi) west of the town of Kingston. The 2016 census recorded a population of 351 for the state suburb of Leslie Vale.

Lower Longley is a rural locality situated on the borders of the Kingborough and Huon Valley local government areas, which straddles the Huon Highway and is made up primarily of acreage properties. Lower Longley had 131 inhabitants as of the 2011 Australian Census. Despite being called Lower Longley, the suburb is physically higher than neighbouring Longley.

Margate is a small seaside town on the Channel Highway between North-West Bay and the Snug Tiers, 7 kilometres (4 mi) south of Kingston in Tasmania, Australia. The locality is about 12 kilometres (7.5 mi) south of the town of Kingston. The 2016 census recorded a population of 364 for the state suburb of Electrona. Electrona is also part of the Greater Hobart statistical area. It is a small residential area on the d'Entrecasteaux Channel in Southern Tasmania. It grew up around the Electrona Carbide Works which were established in 1909.

The 2016 census recorded a population of 41 for the state suburb of Barretta. Barretta is part of the Greater Hobart statistical area.

The Margate Train is a tourist attraction and shopping area located adjacent to the Channel Highway in Margate, Tasmania, and includes a number of shops and outlets housed within former Tasmanian Government Railways rolling stock. It is located approximately 18 kilometres from Hobart.

Pelverata Falls is a 114-metre-high (374 ft) waterfall in the Snug Tiers, Southern Tasmania. In winter and spring the falls are a spectacular sight and have heaps of water coming over them, however, in summer the falls slows to a trickle and sometimes even dries up completely. The track to Pelverata Falls takes approximately 2 hours return, and also allows you to see Slippery Falls from across the gorge near Pelverata Falls.

Neika is a rural locality in the local government areas (LGA) of Hobart and Kingborough in the Hobart LGA region of Tasmania. The locality is about 20 kilometres (12 mi) south-west of the city of Hobart. The 2016 census recorded a population of 198 for the state suburb of Neika. It is a suburb of Hobart, to the north-west of Kingston.

Cathedral Rock is a towering dolerite rock formation located in Wellington Park in south-eastern Tasmania.Reaching a height of approximately 880 metres and accessed through a challenging walk, the craggy summit offers expansive views of southern Tasmania, particularly the Huon Valley and the Channel region.Cathedral Rock is a popular destination for recreational hikers and nature lovers. The closest township is Neika and the usual starting point for the walk to the peak is Betts Road on the North West Bay River. During winter months, Cathedral Rock is frequently snow-covered. Cathedral Rock is part of Wellington Park and is reserved under the Wellington Park Act 1993. It is managed by the Wellington Park Management Trust, together with the City Councils of Glenorchy and Hobart, the Tasmania Parks and Wildlife Service and Southern Water. Wellington Park takes its name from Mount Wellington, named after Arthur Wellesley, 1st Duke of Wellington, who defeated Napoleon in the Battle of Waterloo. Wellington Park is reserved for the purposes of: "the provision of tourism and recreation; the protection of flora and fauna; the preservation of features of natural beauty or scenic interest; the protection of features of historical, Aboriginal, archaeological, scientific or geomorphological interest; and the protection of water catchment values".
