Singapore Turf Club

The Singapore Racecourse/ Singapore Turf Club is a venue for thoroughbred horse racing, situated in Kranji, next to the Kranji MRT station. Built and operated by the Singapore Turf Club, it opened on 4 March 2000, replacing the Bukit Timah Race Course. The Singapore Turf Club has hosted a number of important domestic races as well as two major international events, the Singapore Airlines International Cup and the KrisFlyer International Sprint.

The Kranji State Cemetery (Chinese: 克兰芝国家公墓; Malay: Tanah Perkuburan Negara Kranji; Tamil: கிராஞ்சி மாநில கல்லறையில்) is a national cemetery of Singapore. This cemetery is located at Kranji near Kranji War Cemetery. With an area of 2 acres (8,100 m2), the Kranji State Cemetery is reserved for the burial of persons who have made a significant contribution to Singapore, and is maintained by the National Environment Agency. War graves sections are maintained by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission.

Kranji MRT station is an elevated Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) station on the North South line (NSL). Situated in Sungei Kadut, Singapore along Woodlands Road, it serves the Singapore Turf Club and the Woodlands Wafer Fabrication Park. The station is operated by SMRT Trains. Originally not part of the Woodlands MRT extension plans, Kranji station was later included in November 1992. Completed along with the other Woodlands extension stations on 10 February 1996, it is the largest among the stations, designed to handle a large volume of visitors to the Singapore Turf Club. Designed with a kampung-style roof, the station is integrated with other transportation modes and serves cross-border bus services to Johor Bahru.

Kranji is a suburb in northwestern Singapore, bounded by Sungei Kadut to the north, Turf Club to the east, as well as Lim Chu Kang and the Western Water Catchment to the west. It is located about 22 kilometres (14 mi) from the city centre and it came from Malay word "Buah Keranji" due to pronunciation by local Malay, it became "Kranji".

The Kranji War Memorial (Chinese: 克兰芝阵亡战士公坟; Malay: Tanah Perkuburan Perang Kranji; Tamil: கிராஞ்சி போர் நினைவு) is located at 9 Woodlands Road, in Kranji in northern Singapore. Dedicated to the men and women from the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, Sri Lanka, India, Malaya, the Netherlands and New Zealand who died defending Singapore and Malaya against the invading Japanese forces during World War II, it comprises the War Graves, the Memorial Walls, the State Cemetery, and the Military Graves.

Kranji Bus Depot is an SMRT Buses bus depot located at Kranji Road in Kranji, Singapore. As of November 2014, the total fleet consists of 324 buses. Kranji Bus Depot was the first bus depot to be built under Trans-Island Bus Services, started in 1983.

Sungei Kadut MRT station is a future Mass Rapid Transit interchange station on the North South (NSL) and Downtown (DTL) lines, located in Sungei Kadut, Singapore. First announced as a provisional station on the NSL Woodlands Extension in the 1990s, plans for its construction was eventually confirmed in the Land Transport Master Plan (LTMP) 2040 by the Land Transport Authority (LTA).

Singapore American School (SAS) is a non-profit, independent, co-educational day school located in the Woodlands area of Singapore. It offers an American-based curriculum for students in preschool through high school. One of Singapore's first international schools, SAS was founded in 1956 and started with a hundred students in a colonial house. It has since developed into a school of over 4,000 students on a 36-acre campus. SAS is accredited by the US-based Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). The SAS student body is made up of over 65 nationalities, with over half of the students being United States citizens. Singaporean student numbers are limited as Singapore government regulations prevent most local students from attending international schools within the country. The majority of the teachers come from the US, and staff members from twenty other countries also work at SAS. Most are hired overseas, and over 80% hold master's degrees. The maximum number of students per class in preschool and pre-kindergarten is 16, while for kindergarten through grade 12 it is 22. SAS offers classes in the standard academic subjects as well as foreign languages, music, art, physical education, dance, sports, and technology. The high school offers over 20 AP courses, including the AP Capstone programme. The campus has both air-conditioned and open-air spaces. Facilities include gyms, cafeterias, libraries, and theatres, as well as courtyards, playgrounds, playing fields, swimming pools, tennis courts, a rainforest, and an eco-garden.

The Underground Ammunition Facility is an ammunition depot in Singapore. It is the world's first large-scale underground containerised facility to be designed and developed within a densely developed urban area. This underground facility for storing ammunition requires 90% less land to be sterilised when compared with a traditional above-ground ammunition depot of similar capabilities.

Marsiling is a suburb of Woodlands, Singapore, extends from the north of Woodlands Square to the Woodlands Checkpoint, bordering Malaysia. It presents the older living patterns of Singapore; it is a quieter and much denser estate, often offering a reasonable and larger alternative to other housing options, and houses a large number of elderly and heavy-duty industries.

Marsiling MRT station is an above-ground Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) station on the North South line in Woodlands, Singapore. Located along Woodlands Avenue 3 between the junctions of Woodlands Avenue 1, Woodlands Centre Road and Woodlands Street 11, Marsiling station serves the residential area in the western part of Woodlands New Town, and is the nearest MRT station to Woodlands Checkpoint located at Woodlands Crossing as well as Woodlands Train Checkpoint and the now-demolished old Woodlands Town Centre located at Woodlands Centre Road.
