St. Peter's Church is a historic Anglican church in the Parkstone area of Poole, Dorset, England.

Parkstone railway station serves the Parkstone area of Poole in Dorset, England. The platform sign formerly read Parkstone (for Sandbanks). The station is operated by South Western Railway and is served by both the Weymouth express and the Poole stopping services. It is sited 111 miles 76 chains (180.2 km) down the line from London Waterloo. The station is able to accommodate trains of up to five coaches; longer trains only open the doors in the first four or five coaches, depending on the type of unit operating the service. It was served by the Somerset and Dorset Joint Railway line from Bath Green Park to Bournemouth West from 1874 until 1966, when it was closed under the Beeching Axe. Until 1967, a branch goods line ran from here to the George Jennings South Western Pottery. The line extended from the Pottery to Salterns Pier, on the northern shores of Poole Harbour, until 1922. The line between Bournemouth and Weymouth was electrified in 1988, using the standard British Rail Southern Region system of a third rail with 750 volts direct current.

It was decided to re-open Poole Magistrates' Court instead of making improvements to Bournemouth's court, an 100-year-old building with an annual running cost of £382,000, despite only operating at 52% capacity.

St Edward's Roman Catholic/Church of England School is a co-educational secondary school and sixth form located in Poole in the English county of Dorset.The school turned 50 years old in 2013, and is one of a small number of joint Roman Catholic and Church of England secondary schools in the country. Originally the school was only open to Roman Catholic students, but over time as the school has grown and as more students have been enrolled, the school has changed its status to also accept Protestant students. The school is affiliated with both the Roman Catholic Diocese of Plymouth and the Anglican Diocese of Salisbury. The school offers a wide variety of subjects at GCSE and has a growing sixth form for students continuing on to A-level. The school is linked with Bele Zinkuka school, South Africa, whose netball team visited the UK in 2005 and played local schools in Poole.

The park experiences approximately 180,000 visitors a year.It has 8 indoor water slides which operate all year round and 5 outside rides which operate only during the summer season. The Poole Park Railway is a miniature railway that runs through Poole Park in Poole, Dorset, England. The line runs throughout the year, weather permitting. The 32-person capacity railway carriages are wheelchair accessible. They are liveried in green which alongside the yellow branding of the railway pay homage to Southern Railway that operated in the area from 1923 to 1947.The carriages are pulled along a 10 1⁄4 inch gauge track by a diesel engine currently on loan to the railway courtesy of the Newlyn Downs Branch line at Lappa Valley, a miniature railway in Cornwall.

St Dunstan of Canterbury Orthodox Church is an Antiochian Orthodox church in Parkstone, Poole, Dorset. It is the parish church for Bournemouth and Poole within the Antiochian Orthodox Archdiocese of The British Isles and Ireland. A Grade II* listed building, the church was built in the early 20th century in Neo-Byzantine style by the architects G. A. B. Livesay, Edward Schroeder Prior and Arthur Grove as the Anglican Church of St Osmund. Its west front has been called Prior's final tour de force of church architecture.Closed by the Church of England in 2001, and declared redundant, it subsequently became an Orthodox church and was rededicated, first as St Stephen the Great Church, and then as St Dunstan's.
