Chun Yeung Estate (Chinese: 駿洋邨) is a public housing estate in Fo Tan, New Territories, Hong Kong. It is the only public housing estate in Fo Tan, located at the junction of Wong Chuk Yeung Street and Kwei Tei Street. It comprises 5 blocks and 1 shopping centre with total of 4,846 flats. Its name prefix "Chun" means "horse" in English since Sha Tin Racecourse is located in Fo Tan. It was completed in 2020.The estate was planned as Green Form Subsidised Home Ownership Scheme to be sold to public housing tenants. However, concerns were raised that this may impinge on the quota for public rental housing and further lengthen waiting times. Finally, the plan was put aside and the estate was changed to public rental housing.

Wong Chuk Yeung (Chinese: 黃竹洋) is a village in Fo Tan, Sha Tin District, Hong Kong.

Kau To Hang (Chinese: 九肚坑) is a river in Sha Tin District, New Territories, Hong Kong. Its source starts near Cheung Lek Mei, inside Tai Po Kau Nature Reserve. It flows eastward past Nim Au, Ma Niu, Kau To, collecting minor streams on the way. Finally, it empties into Sha Tin Hoi, part of Tolo Harbour.

The Tai Po Kau Nature Reserve, also called Tai Po Kau Special Area, is a nature reserve in the Tai Po area of the New Territories in northern Hong Kong. The area comprises a dense, hilly woodland with over 100 species of trees and numerous streams and rivers. It is one of the most biologically diverse forests in Hong Kong. It is noted by the Hong Kong Bird Watching Society and others as one of the best locations for seeing forest birds in Hong Kong.

Pingshan station (Chinese: 坪山; pinyin: Píngshān; Jyutping: Ping4 Saan1) is a metro station on Line 16 of Shenzhen Metro. It was opened on December 28, 2022. Located at Longgang District, it is connected to the Shenzhen Pingshan railway station on the Xiamen–Shenzhen railway. Construction of the station finished in 2021 along with other stations at Pingshan District.

On 10 February 2018, at approximately 18:13 HKT, a Kowloon Motor Bus (KMB) double-decker bus flipped onto its side on Tai Po Road in Tai Po, New Territories. The crash killed 19 people and injured 65. The incident, also known as the 872 accident (Chinese: 872意外) after the number of the route the bus was traveling on, was Hong Kong's second-deadliest road traffic accident, behind a 2003 incident on Tuen Mun Road which killed 21.In July 2020, the bus captain was sentenced to imprisonment for 14 years over the crash. In addition, he is no longer allowed to drive any vehicles.
