The Municipal Light Plant is a historic building in the Arena District of Downtown Columbus, Ohio. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2015. The structure includes an early 20th century Romanesque Revival building and a mid-20th century Art Deco addition.In 2022, the Municipal Light Plant won the Columbus Landmarks' James B. Recchie Design Award.

The Columbus Crew are an American professional soccer club based in Columbus, Ohio. The club competes in Major League Soccer (MLS) as a member of the Eastern Conference. The team began play in 1996 as one of the 10 charter clubs of the league. The Crew are currently operated by an ownership group led by the Haslam family (also owners of the Cleveland Browns and Pilot Corporation) and former team physician Pete Edwards. The Haslam/Edwards group is the third ownership group in club history. The franchise was founded in 1994. Its stadium is Lower.com Field, opened in 2021. From 1999 to 2021, the Crew played home games at Historic Crew Stadium (formerly Mapfre Stadium and Columbus Crew Stadium), the first soccer-specific stadium built for an MLS team, with a seating capacity of 19,968 as of the 2015 season. From 1996 to 1998, the Crew played its home games at Ohio Stadium on the campus of Ohio State University. In 2023, the team set club attendance records for both most cumulative attendance and most sellouts. The Crew have won eight major trophies: the MLS Cup in 2008, 2020 and 2023; the Supporters' Shield in 2004, 2008, and 2009; the 2002 U.S. Open Cup; and the Leagues Cup in 2024. The Crew have qualified for the CONCACAF Champions Cup (or its predecessor, the CONCACAF Champions League) six times, reaching the quarter-finals on five occasions. In 2021, the club won their first continental trophy by winning the Campeones Cup, and in 2024, the Crew advanced to their first Champions' Cup final.

Lower.com Field is a soccer-specific stadium in Columbus, Ohio, United States. It serves primarily as the home stadium of the Columbus Crew of Major League Soccer, replacing the club's previous home, Historic Crew Stadium. The new stadium cost $314 million and is located at the center of the mixed-use Astor Park development adjacent to the Arena District and downtown. It seats 20,371 spectators and includes 30 suites and 1,900 club seats.

The Sullivant Land Office is a historic building in the East Franklinton neighborhood of Columbus, Ohio. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973 and the Columbus Register of Historic Properties, along with the Gen. William Henry Harrison Headquarters, in 1985. The small brick building was built c. 1822. Its original use was as a single-room real estate office, although it was later expanded. At the time of construction, Lucas Sullivant was selling and giving away pieces of land, and Franklinton became the county seat of Franklin County. The building is the only remaining structure associated with Lucas Sullivant in the Franklinton area. In the early 1980s, the Columbus Recreation and Parks Department moved the building from its original location at 714 W. Gay St. to 13 N Gift St., behind the William Henry Harrison house. The move was prompted because the building was endangered in its original location, with vandalism, deterioration, and plans to create a parking lot for a car dealership on the site.

Holy Family Church is a parish church of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Columbus, in the Franklinton neighborhood of Columbus, Ohio. The congregation was founded in 1877 and the current church was completed in 1889. The Mercerdarians took over pastoral care of the church in 2022.

Engine House No. 6, also known as the East Franklinton Engine House, is a former Columbus Fire Department station in the East Franklinton neighborhood of Columbus, Ohio. The building was constructed in 1892, designed in the Romanesque Revival style by John Flynn. The station was decommissioned in 1966, and served as an electronics store from 1975 to 2014. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2016, accompanying planned renovations. The station has been planned to be sold since about 2016, originally to the Columbus Historical Society and Heritage Ohio, though the latter organization now plans to move to the Ohio History Center. The historical society acquired the building in November 2021, and is restoring it with plans to turn it into the city's first permanent local history museum. The station is one of two remaining Columbus fire stations designed by Flynn, and one of seven 1890s fire stations remaining in the city.

The General William Henry Harrison Headquarters is a historic building in the East Franklinton neighborhood of Columbus, Ohio. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1972 and the Columbus Register of Historic Properties (along with the Sullivant Land Office) in 1985. The brick house was built in 1807 by Jacob Oberdier, one of Franklinton's first settlers. The house became especially important to the area from 1813 to 1814, when General William Henry Harrison, later the 9th President of the United States, used the house as his headquarters. It is the only remaining building in Ohio associated with Harrison.

Huntington Park is a baseball stadium located in Columbus, Ohio, United States. It primarily serves as the home of the Columbus Clippers of the International League, the Triple-A minor league affiliate of the Cleveland Guardians since 2009. Groundbreaking for the ballpark took place on August 2, 2007, with construction being completed in April 2009. Designed by 360 Architecture and developed by Nationwide Realty Investors, the 10,100-seat stadium is part of a $70 million project. The stadium is at the corner of Neil Avenue and Nationwide Boulevard in the Arena District of Columbus and replaced the Clippers' former home, Cooper Stadium. In February 2006, the naming rights for the park were purchased by Huntington Bancshares Inc. for $12 million over 23 years. On April 18, 2009, the park opened to the public, with the Columbus Clippers playing the Toledo Mud Hens in the stadium's first game.On August 12, 2009, Huntington Park was named the Ballpark of the Year by Baseballparks.com, beating out all other new or significantly renovated baseball stadiums in the country, including such Major League parks as the new Yankee Stadium and Citi Field. The award is given to the new stadium with the "best combination of superior design, attractive site selection and fan amenities." The ballpark's attendance record was set on July 26, 2010 when 12,517 fans saw the Clippers defeat the Pawtucket Red Sox, 11–7.The coldest game played in the history of the stadium saw Clippers take on the Pawtucket Red Sox on April 16, 2018, amidst snow flurries and 35 degree weather. The ballpark was built adjacent to the old Ohio Penitentiary site.

The Condominiums at North Bank Park is a 267 feet (81 m) tall residential high rise at 300 W. Spring St. in the Arena District just north of downtown Columbus, Ohio. It was constructed from 2006 to 2007 and has 20 floors and is one of the tallest structures in the city The building was developed by Nationwide Realty Investors, a development entity created by Nationwide Insurance which is headquartered nearby. Built as part of a development boom in the Arena District after the completion of Nationwide Arena, the $50 million building has 100 condominium units and ground-floor parking built into a re-developed warehouse and attached glass residential tower. The building saw slow sales during the Great Recession but following economic recovery, additional development has continued around the building.

The Old Franklinton Cemetery is a cemetery in the Franklinton neighborhood of Columbus, Ohio. The cemetery is the oldest in Central Ohio, established in 1799. Other names for it include the Franklinton Cemetery or Pioneer Burying Ground. Franklinton founder Lucas Sullivant was buried there initially, later reinterred in Green Lawn Cemetery.Franklinton's first church was constructed beside the cemetery in 1811, a year before Columbus was established.
