Saint-Damase is a municipality located in Les Maskoutains Regional County Municipality in the Montérégie region of Quebec. The population as of the Canada 2011 Census was 2,506. The municipality was created on October 5, 2001, by the merger of the Parish and the Village of Saint-Damase.

Les Maskoutains is a regional county municipality in the Montérégie region in southwestern Quebec, Canada. Its seat is in Saint-Hyacinthe. The name comes from Algonquin word maskutew meaning "bear plain" in plular.

Saint-Hyacinthe is a provincial electoral riding in the Montérégie region of Quebec, Canada. It notably includes the cities of Saint-Hyacinthe and Saint-Pie. It was created for the 1867 election (and an electoral district of that name existed earlier in the Legislative Assembly of the Province of Canada and the Legislative Assembly of Lower Canada). In the change from the 2001 to the 2011 electoral map, it gained La Présentation from Verchères electoral district and Saint-Pie from Iberville electoral district.

Saint-Hyacinthe (; French: [sɛ̃t‿ijasɛ̃t]) is a city in southwestern Quebec east of Montreal on the Yamaska River. The population as of the 2021 Canadian census was 57,239. The city is located in Les Maskoutains Regional County Municipality of the Montérégie region, and is traversed by the Yamaska River. Quebec Autoroute 20 runs perpendicular to the river. Saint-Hyacinthe is the seat of the judicial district of the same name.

Its cathedral episcopal see is Cathédrale Saint-Hyacinthe-le-Confesseur, dedicated to diocesan patron saint Hyacinth the Confessor (of Poland), in Saint-Hyacinthe, Quebec. There is also a decommissioned former Cathedral: now Église Saint-Matthieu, dedicated to the Evangelist Matthew, in Beloeil, Quebec.

Cégep de Saint-Hyacinthe is a CEGEP (College of General and Vocational Education) located at 3000 Boullé Street, Saint-Hyacinthe, Quebec, Canada. More than 4500 students attend the CEGEP to study in one of five pre-university general studies programs and eighteen vocational studies programs. The CEGEP's twelve intercollegiate sport teams are called Lauréats.

The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (French: Faculté de médecine vétérinaire) at Université de Montréal is one of five veterinary medical schools in Canada. It is the only French-language veterinary college in North America. The faculty is part of the Université de Montréal and is located in Saint-Hyacinthe, Quebec near Montreal.The veterinary college was located in Oka, Quebec before moving to Saint-Hyacinthe in 1947. In Oka, the veterinary college formed part of an agricultural-veterinary educational centre operated by the Trappists. This centre was financed by the Quebec Department of Agriculture.The Centre became the direct responsibility of the Québec Department of Agriculture from 1947 to 1969. In 1969, the Centre became a Université de Montréal faculty. Considerable development in staff and facilities has taken place.The FMV holds a full accreditation of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and is one of 15 faculties and affiliated schools of Université de Montréal

The Cathedral of St. Hyacinth the Confessor (French: Cathédrale Saint-Hyacinthe-le-Confesseur), located in Saint-Hyacinthe, Quebec, is the cathedral of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Saint-Hyacinthe. The cathedral church, named in honour of St. Hyacinth of Poland, was built in 1880 in the Romanesque Revival style.

Saint-Hyacinthe Aerodrome (TC LID: CSU3) is located 3 nautical miles (5.6 km; 3.5 mi) west of Saint-Hyacinthe, Quebec, Canada. The Saint-Hyacinthe Aerodrome is an example of general aviation diversity driven by private management. Almost all airplanes on floats land on its man-made water basin, parallel to the runway. Single and twin engine conventional aircraft, ultralight two and three axis, aerobatic airplanes, vintage aircraft and motor gliders fly regularly from the narrow (75 ft (23 m) runway. Weekends with nice weather are particularly busy. Aviation enthusiasts can admire aerobatics performed in the aerobatic box at the west of the airport, formation flights, low passes, and overshoot training. Aviation schools and repair shops are present. All hangar spaces are sold out and more hangars under construction drive the need for more space for hangars and an extra runway to permit landings when crosswinds are too strong to permit a safe return in such conditions. The only runway stays quite busy during the days when strong winds blow perpendicularly to the runway axis. Strong winds are typical of this area, much stronger than nearby airports, sometime in excess of 40 km/h (22 kn; 25 mph). Crosswinds of this strength rattle the hangars and keep almost everybody grounded.

The Saint-Hyacinthe station is a Via Rail station in Saint-Hyacinthe, Quebec, Canada. The station is staffed and is wheelchair-accessible. Several corridor Montreal-Quebec City trains and the long-distance Ocean stop here; the Montreal–Gaspé train was suspended in 2013. The station's business hours are from 7:00 am to 11:15 am (for morning travellers) and from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm (for evening travelers); seven days a week. A bicycle box and a baggage room are special amenities found in this station. The rail station is completely accessible by public transportation. The current station building dates to 1900, but Grand Trunk Railway built the first Saint-Hyacinthe station in 1870 and again in 1872.

CFEI-FM (106.5 MHz) is a French-language Canadian radio station located in Saint-Hyacinthe, Quebec, serving the eastern suburbs of Montréal. Owned and operated by Bell Media, it broadcasts with an effective radiated power (ERP) of 3,000 watts (class A) using an omnidirectional antenna. The station has an oldies format since May 2003 (it previously had an adult contemporary format) and is part of the "Boom" network.

The Honoré Mercier Hospital (French: Hôpital Honoré-Mercier) is the major hospital in Saint-Hyacinthe, Quebec, Canada. It serves Saint-Hyacinthe its surrounding Les Maskoutains Regional County Municipality, as well as the neighbouring Acton Regional County Municipality and La Vallée-du-Richelieu Regional County Municipality. It currently has 213 acute care, 35 short-term psychiatric and 25 mental health shelter beds (Saint-Charles Pavilion).The hospital is named for Honoré Mercier, a lawyer, journalist and politician best known for being the ninth Premier of Quebec from 27 January 1887 to 21 December 1891.
