Marriott Taipei is a hotel on Lequn 2nd Road, Zhongshan District, Taipei, Taiwan. The hotel is located in Block C of the Yihwa International Complex and is the first Marriott Hotel in Taiwan. With a total of 502 rooms and 5 restaurants, the hotel started trial operations on August 24, 2015, and officially opened on September 28, 2015. The hotel features a unique view of the Taipei skyline from the rooms and is one of the top luxury hotels in the city. The lower floors of the building houses a shopping center TM Midtown, which opened on 10 November 2017.

The Pxmart Headquarters (Chinese: 全聯企業總部大樓) is a 22-storey, 358 ft (109 m) skyscraper office building completed in 2013 and located in Zhongshan District, Taipei, Taiwan. The building serves as the corporate headquarters of the Taiwanese supermarket chain PX Mart.

Hotel Indigo Taipei North is a hotel on Zhifu Road, Zhongshan District, Taipei, Taiwan. In 2016 it became part of the Hotel Indigo chain. It was invested and constructed by Yonghong Group and entrusted by the InterContinental Hotel Group to operate and manage it under the Hotel Indigo brand. It is the ninth business base of InterContinental Hotel in Taiwan and the third Indigo brand hotel. With a total of 149 rooms, the hotel started trial operations on January 1, 2020, and officially opened on February 12, 2020. The lower floors of the building houses a shopping center Chun Place, which opened in September 2020.

NOKE (Chinese: NOKE忠泰樂生活) is a shopping mall in the Dazhi area of Zhongshan District, Taipei, Taiwan that began trial operations on 29 April 2023. With a total floor area of 36,300 m2 (391,000 sq ft), it has 7 floors above ground and 3 floors below ground. Main core stores include Tsutaya Bookstore, Michelin restaurant La Vie, Apu Jan, Onibus and Aurora Ice Rink. The proportion of shopping malls is 48% for retail, 34% for catering, and 18% for entertainment.

Miramar Entertainment Park (Chinese: 美麗華百樂園; pinyin: Měilìhuá Bǎilèyuán) is a shopping mall located in the Dazhi area in Zhongshan District of Taipei, Taiwan. The shopping mall contains an IMAX theater. With 28m × 21m dimensions, its movie screen is the largest in Asia for screening commercial films.

ATT e Life, formerly ATT 4 Recharge is a shopping mall in Zhongshan District, Taipei, Taiwan that opened on 23 December 2018. The name "ATT" stands for "attractive". Using the homonym of "FOR", the letters are changed to the number "4", which represents the four major industries of fashion, cultural creation, entertainment, and food. "Recharge" combines fashion shopping with eating, drinking, playing, and fun, bringing all-round joy to a better life. The building in which the mall is located originally houses A.mart. At the beginning of 2017, ATT took over the original store building subordinate to Hongtai Group. The theme of the shopping mall was based on the four elements of life, fashion, food, and family. The main types of stores include catering, outdoor leisure store and family/home life. Trial operations of the mall commenced on 15 December 2018, and it officially opened on 23 December 2018.

The Elitegroup Computer Systems Headquarters (Chinese: 精英電腦總部大樓) is a 21-storey skyscraper office building completed in 2007 and located in Neihu District, Taipei, Taiwan. One of the most prominent landmarks in the Neihu Science Park along the bank of the Keelung River, the building serves as the corporate headquarters of the Taiwanese electronics firm Elitegroup Computer Systems.

Takming University of Science and Technology (TMUST ; Chinese: 德明財經科技大學) is a private university in Neihu District, Taipei, Taiwan.

The 2014 Taipei Metro attack was a mass stabbing spree that took place on 21 May 2014, directed at random civilians on a Taipei Metro train near Jiangzicui Station, resulting in four deaths and 24 injuries. It was the first fatal attack on the city's subway system since operations began in 1996. The suspected attacker, Cheng Chieh, then 21, was arrested after the attack. He was sentenced to 144 years in prison and four death sentences, and was executed on 10 May 2016.
