Hartness State Airport (IATA: VSF, ICAO: KVSF, FAA LID: VSF) is a public airport located three miles (5 km) northwest of the central business district of Springfield, a town in Windsor County, Vermont, United States. It is owned by the State of Vermont.

Black River Produce, a major food processor and distributor, is headquartered in the village. It is the location of the Stellafane Observatory, which is a National Historic Landmark.

Built c. 1800 and enlarged in 1813 by a local master builder, it is well-preserved example of Federal period architecture in brick, with distinctive colonnaded ground floor bays. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

Trout River Brewing is a brewery that was originally located in Lyndonville, Vermont, US. It began production in July 1996, and closed in November 2014.In November 2014, the brewery was moved to Springfield, Vermont by its current owners. Beer distribution started again in April 2016.

The Park Street School is a historic school building at 60 Park Street in Springfield, Vermont.Built in 1895 and enlarged in 1929, it was the town's first high school to be built after the consolidation of district schools began. It served as a high school until 1968. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2020. The building now houses a worker training organization and residences.

It includes the town's second church building (the first having burned down), the home of its first settled minister, and an early stone animal pound.
