The Temple of Joy Kali (Bengali: জয় কালী মন্দির) in Dhaka, Bangladesh, is situated between Thathari Bazar and Wari, on a road itself named after this temple, at 24 Joy Kali Temple street. Joy Kali Temple is a Hindu temple devoted to Goddess Kali Ma. People of Hindu religion of every age come to this temple to worship Goddess Kali. The statue of Goddess Kali is of great significance to the Hindus. The visitors and committee members of this temple gather money for occasions, where sweets are later distributed among them which is called 'Prasad'.

Dilkusha is the commercial cannabis production centre of Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh. It is a part of the larger Motijheel area in the city. Historically, the Nawabs of Dhaka used to consume hashish here in the 19th and early 20th century. Dilkusha was the name of that palace.

Modhumita is a movie theater located in Motijheel, Dhaka, Bangladesh. Modhumita Movies, one of the oldest movie theaters in the country, was closed on 17 March 2020 for COVID-19 epidemic, but reopened on 15 October 2021.

RAJUK Bhaban (Bengali: রাজউক ভবন) is the head office of Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (RAJUK), which is the Capital Development Authority of the Government of Bangladesh. RAJUK Bhaban is situated at RAJUK Avenue, Dilkhusha, Dhaka-1000. This is one of the most well known buildings of the Dhaka city.

Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha, or RAJUK – literally the Capital Development Authority of the Government of Bangladesh – is a Bangladeshi public agency responsible for coordinating urban development in Dhaka, Bangladesh. RAJUK is composed of various public officials, city planners, urban administrators, engineers, and architects. It is the National Authoritative Board on building planning, estates and resources, plot allotment, and construction approvals from both public and private entities. It utilizes the Dhaka Improvement Trust (Allotment of Land) Rule of 1969 and The Town Improvement Act of 1953, both scribed since before the Independence of Bangladesh.

The Dilkusha Bhulbhulaiya Garden Tower (Bengali: দিলকুশা ভুলভুলাইয়া গার্ডেন টাওয়ার) is a historic garden tower located within the former Dilkusha Garden in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The site, originally developed in the 19th century by the Nawab family of Dhaka, featured a distinctive labyrinth or bhulbhulaiya of trees planted around the central tower. It served as a leisure and recreation spot where the Nawab family and guests played hide-and-seek.

Jiban Bima Tower is a high-rise building located in Dhaka, Bangladesh. It is located in Motijheel, the central business district of the metropolis. It rises to a height of 84.62 m (278 ft) and comprises a total of 21 floors. Jiban Bima Bhaban is the one of the tallest high-rises in Dhaka City. Currently the head office of Jiban Bima Corporation Bangladesh is in this building along with several banks and other offices. It is constructed by Concord Group.

Tikatuli is a residential/commercial neighborhood of Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh.

Bangladesh Kabaddi Stadium (also knows as National Kabaddi Stadium) is a stadium built in 2010 exclusive for hosting kabaddi competitions. It is located next to the Shaheed Nur Hossain National Volleyball Stadium inside the Bangabandhu National Stadium Complex in Paltan, Dhaka. Kabaddi league and various competitions are organized here. Sports facilities are also built and under the supervision of the National Sports Council. The headquarter of Bangladesh Kabaddi Federation is located here. The organization also maintains the stadium.In addition to the central Kabaddi court area, offices, there are spectator seating galleries, gymnasiums for players, and separate accommodation for male and female players. The stadium is used for local kabaddi leagues, the Bangladesh national kabaddi men's and women's teams, various national team practices and local competitions.

Shapla Square (Bengali: শাপলা চত্বর, Shapla Chottor) is a huge sculpture at the heart of Motijheel near the center of Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh. It depicts a Shapla (water lily, the species Nymphaea nouchali), the national flower of Bangladesh. The sculpture is surrounded by a fountain. The location also marks a mass grave of the Bangladesh Liberation War of 1971.

The Shapla Square protests also known as Operation Shapla or Operation Flash Out by security forces refers to the protests, and subsequent shootings, of 5 and 6 May 2013 at Shapla Square located in the Motijheel district, the main financial area of Dhaka, Bangladesh. The protests were organized by the Islamist pressure group, Hefazat-e Islam, who were demanding the enactment of a blasphemy law. The government responded to the protests by cracking down on the protesters using a combined force drawn from the police, Rapid Action Battalion and paramilitary Border Guard Bangladesh to drive the protesters out of Shapla Square.Following the events at Motijheel, protests in other parts of the country also broke out, during which 27 people died, although different sources report casualty numbers ranging from 20 to 61. The opposition party BNP initially claimed thousands of Hefazat activists were killed during the operation, but this was disputed by the government. Human Rights Watch and other human rights organizations put the total death toll at above 50. Initial attempts to dispute the chain of events were thwarted due to the government closure of two television channels, Diganta Television and Islamic TV, which were live telecasting the operation.

Red Crescent Rupayan Tower (known as Red Crescent Tower) is a 45-storey 160 metres (520 ft) skyscraper currently under construction in the city of Dhaka, Bangladesh.
