Rampton Secure Hospital is a high-security psychiatric hospital near the village of Woodbeck between Retford and Rampton in Nottinghamshire, England. It is one of three high-security psychiatric hospitals in England, alongside Ashworth Hospital in Merseyside and Broadmoor Hospital in Berkshire. It is managed by Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.

The parish is long and thin, extending about 7 miles (11 km) east–west but only about 1 mile (1.6 km) north–south. Its eastern boundary is the River Trent, which here also forms the county boundary with Lincolnshire. The parish is best known for Rampton Secure Hospital, which is at the hamlet of Woodbeck about 1.5 miles (2.4 km) west of Rampton village. The parish was renamed from Rampton to Rampton and Woodbeck on the 1st of April 2018.The 2011 Census recorded the parish population as 1,139.

East Drayton is a village in Nottinghamshire, England. According to the 2001 census it had a population of 212, increasing to 252 at the 2011 Census. It is located 3 miles west of Dunham-on-Trent. The parish church of St Peter and St Paul is 13th or 14th century in date. Nicholas Hawksmoor the architect was born here.East Drayton was originally known simply as Drayton, and was recorded under that name in the Domesday Book of 1086. "East" was added to distinguish the place from the village of West Drayton, 4 miles west. A windmill was recorded at East Drayton in 1712, a post mill with a full width enclosed porch and porthole-like windows with shutters. It was possibly moved here from Lincolnshire. The village has a typical English pub with a Scottish hint, it also has a village sports club with a Saturday Football team during the winter months and in the summer a Saturday and Sunday cricket team.

Leverton railway station was a station between North Leverton with Habblesthorpe and South Leverton, Nottinghamshire, England which closed in November 1959. The line was reopened in 1967 for freight trains serving Cottam power stations, although the rest of line, through to Saxilby and Lincoln via Torksey, closed to passengers in November 1959. The final train was a railtour from Clapham Junction, in September 2019. The line is now officially closed, with the barrier boom arms having been removed at Leverton AHBC, and Westbrecks AHBC. The rails have since turned brown, and are unlikely to be used again. Several accidents happened at the crossing adjacent to the station, culminating in a near collision with a school bus in January 1970, before automatic half-barriers were later fitted.
