Institute of Archaeologists of Ireland (Irish: Institiúid Seandálaithe na hÉireann) is an Irish archaeology organisation based in Dublin, Ireland. Founded in Merrion Square, Dublin in August 2001, the organisation represents archaeologists who are working throughout Ireland.

The Central Catholic Library (Irish: Leabharlann an Chreidimh) is a library located in Dublin, Ireland. It was founded by Fr. Stephen Brown, SJ on 25 June 1922 with the goal of helping the laity to educate themselves. It is a voluntary subscription library (one of two remaining subscription libraries remaining on the island of Ireland) and is open to visitors five days a week. It has a lending section, a reference section and several collections stored in different parts of the building. It is located at 74 Merrion Square, Dublin 2.

Merrion Square (Irish: Cearnóg Mhuirfean) is a Georgian garden square on the southside of Dublin city centre.

The Irish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (ISPCC) is a national child protection charity in Ireland. It provides a range of services to children and families in Ireland, and promotes children's rights. The ISPCC is best known for its free confidential listening service, ISPCC Childline. It also provides a range of support services from its offices around Ireland. Its support line is available daily to anyone in Ireland concerned about a child. The ISPCC was founded as a successor to the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children, which had operated in Ireland from 1889 to 1956.The first Irish branch of the NSPCC was founded in Dublin in May 1889, with branches founded in Cork and Belfast in 1891.

The Georgian mile is an unofficial term used to describe a continuous, near mile-long thoroughfare largely lined with Georgian townhouses in Dublin, Ireland. It comprises Fitzwilliam Place, Fitzwilliam Square East, Fitzwilliam Street, and Merrion Square East. According to The Irish Times, the stretch was once "the longest and arguably the finest Georgian streetscape in the world." It was built between the 1780s and the 1830s.

The National Maternity Hospital (Irish: An tOspidéal Náisiúnta Máithreachais), popularly known as Holles Street Hospital, is a large maternity hospital in Ireland. The hospital is located at the eastern corner of Merrion Square, at its junction with Holles Street and Lower Mount Street in Dublin. It is managed by Ireland East Hospital Group.

Number Twenty Nine: Georgian House Museum is a preserved Georgian townhouse in Dublin. The house is furnished to show how it would have looked during the period of 1790 to 1820.

The Oscar Wilde Memorial Sculpture is a collection of three statues in Merrion Square in Dublin, Ireland, commemorating Irish poet and playwright Oscar Wilde. The sculptures were unveiled in 1997 and were designed and made by Danny Osborne.

American College Dublin, a constituent college of Irish American University, is a private not-for-profit liberal arts institution accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE). Established in 1993 in Dublin Ireland, the institution is located in the center of Dublin on Merrion Square in a number of Georgian era houses, one of which is the childhood home of Oscar Wilde. In addition to its American accreditation with MSCHE, American College Dublin offers programs placed at level-eight and level-nine on the Irish National Framework of Qualifications which are accredited by the Irish body Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI) and for which graduating students receive QQI awards. American College Dublin was founded as an independent educational trust in May 1993 by Lynn University, a liberal arts institution located in Boca Raton, Florida. The college admitted its first liberal arts and business degree students in September 1993 and graduated its first class in 1996. The development of the college's Dublin campus continued through the 1990s; in 2002 the institution expanded its operations with the establishment of a sister campus in Delaware, which became known as American College Delaware.

The Irish Architectural Archive was established in 1976 by Dr Edward McParland and Nicholas Robinson as the National Trust Archive. Its objective is to collect and preserve material of every kind relating to the architecture of Ireland, and make it available to the public. It is based at 45 Merrion Square, Dublin, and is an independent private company with charitable status. 45 Merrion Square, constructed in 1794, was restored between 2002 and 2004 for use as an archive by the Office of Public Works, and is itself a notable example of the city's Georgian architecture.The Archive comprises over 3,500 individual acquisitions, ranging from single items - a book, pamphlet, drawing or photograph - to the thousands of drawings and files created by large architectural practices. Colum O'Riordan is the current Director.

L'Ecrivain (French pronunciation: ​[le.kʁi.vɛ̃], meaning "The Writer") was a restaurant on Lower Baggot Street in Dublin, Ireland, which was awarded one Michelin star from 2003 to 2020. The Michelin Guide awarded the restaurant the "Red M", indicating "good food at a reasonable price", from 1996 to 1999.The restaurant's proprietor was Irish celebrity chef Derry Clarke, who has appeared on such television programmes as The Restaurant, The Afternoon Show and The Panel (in 2008) and has also been a judge on the reality television series Fáilte Towers. L'Ecrivain was described as "Dublin's corporate canteen" by the Irish Independent. The restaurant was opened in 1989 by Derry Clarke and his wife Sallyann. It closed in March 2021.

The Great Industrial Exhibition in 1853 was held in Dublin, Ireland. In its day, it was the largest international event to be held in Ireland. The Irish Industrial Exhibition Building, located on the grounds of Leinster House, housed the entire fair. It lasted from 12 May to 31 October, Queen Victoria accompanied by the Prince Consort and the Prince of Wales, paid an official visit on 29 August.
