Slatersville Reservoir

Slatersville is a village on the Branch River in the town of North Smithfield, Rhode Island, United States. It includes the Slatersville Historic District, a historic district listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The historic district has been included as part of the Blackstone River Valley National Historical Park. The North Smithfield Public Library is located in Slatersville. Slatersville was associated with and named for Samuel Slater and John Slater, members of the well-known Slater family. In the late nineteenth century, the Woonsocket and Pascoag Railroad was built through the village, and the line was later acquired by the Providence and Worcester Railroad and run as a freight rail line terminating in Slatersville near a steel distributor by the Slater Mill, rather than its former endpoint in Pascoag.

North Smithfield Public Library is a public library at 20 Main Street in the village of Slatersville in North Smithfield, Rhode Island. Part of the library is currently located in a renovated nineteenth century stone mill building that was a mill store house for John Slater's nearby mill before it became the North Smithfield Public Library in 1966, and the library is adjacent to the Slatersville Reservoir. An extensive addition was added in the 1980s. The Library was originally founded in 1931 with the first branch in the Union Village school before eventually moving to Slatersville.

Nasonville is a village in Burrillville, Providence County, Rhode Island, United States. It was home to various manufacturers in the 19th century. The village was founded by Leonard Nason in 1825 when he purchased land along the river to found a axe and hoe factory.

Forestdale is a village and historic district in North Smithfield, Providence County, Rhode Island, United States, one-half mile from Slatersville, Rhode Island. The historic district runs east and west along Main Street and north on Maple Avenue. School Street is the primary road through the village, and the one-room schoolhouse for which the street is named still stands. The Branch River runs through the valley adjacent to the School Street. The Village Haven Restaurant and local VFW chapter are also located in the village.

The Central Street Historic District is a historic district encompassing a portion of the historic village center of Millville, Massachusetts. Its spine is Central Street, the main north–south artery through the town, running from Main Street in the north to just south of Quaker Street in the south. The district includes adjoining properties on a number of side streets. The northern end is discontiguous with Millville's Main Street Historic District, on the north side of the Blackstone River, because of the demolition of historic buildings and alterations to the junction of Main and Central Streets. Millville's town offices are located in the former Longfellow School, built in 1850 and located at 8 Central Street. South of the river there is more of a commercial center, and as Central Street climbs the hillside above the river, it becomes more residential. This last area was where the fashionable homes of Millville's wealthier residents were built. The oldest portions of the district are the remnant sites of the mills which prompted the growth of the town. These were built on an island in the river, although later mills (none of which survive) were built on its northern and southern banks.The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2003.

The Blackstone River Greenway (formerly Bikeway) is a partially completed 48-mile (77 km) paved rail trail defining the course of the East Coast Greenway through the Blackstone Valley from Worcester, Massachusetts to Providence, Rhode Island in the United States. As of 2016, approximately 11.5 miles (18.5 km) of the trail has been completed in Rhode Island, connecting the communities of Woonsocket, Lincoln, Cumberland, and Manville. Some 2.5 miles (4.0 km) of completed trail in Massachusetts connect Worcester and Millbury, as well as 3.7 miles of trail connecting Uxbridge and Blackstone. The path roughly parallels the right-of-way of the active Providence & Worcester Railroad and its predecessor, the Blackstone Canal, running alongside the Blackstone River. In some places, the bike path follows the old canal towpath, with the long-abandoned canal running along one side and the river on the other. Only a short portion near Pratt Dam (a.k.a. Lonsdale Dam, connecting Lincoln, Rhode Island and Cumberland, Rhode Island) runs on abandoned railroad right-of-way.Once finished, the greenway will be linked to the East Bay Bike Path, for an additional 14.5 miles (23.3 km) of trail to Bristol, Rhode Island. The Blackstone River Greenway is also a designated section of the East Coast Greenway, the 3,000-mile trail system connecting cities from Maine to Florida.

The Dexter Richardson House is an historic house at 5 South Street in Uxbridge, Massachusetts. The 2+1⁄2 story wood-frame house was built c. 1736, and is a well-preserved local example of transitional Georgian-Federal styling. The basic massing of the main block is Georgian, with five bays and a central entry, with a large central chimney. The entry is framed by Federal style fluted pilasters and topped by a heavy pediment; there is a five-light transom window above the door.On October 7, 1983, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places.
