Brandlingill is a village in Cumbria, England.

Blindbothel is a village and civil parish in the Allerdale district of Cumbria, England. It is on the edge of the Lake District National Park, and is a couple of miles south of Cockermouth. It had a population of 174 according to the 2011 census. Blindbothel has an area of around 500 hectares (1230 acres) On the East of Blindbothel is the River Cocker which flows to Cockermouth.In the 1870s Blindbothel was described as "Blindbothel, a township in Brigham parish, Cumberland; 2 miles W of Cockermouth. Real property, £1,206. Pop., 116. Houses, 19."

Fellbarrow is a low hill in the north west of the English Lake District. It is not far from the town of Cockermouth, near to Loweswater and can most easily be climbed from Low Lorton, or Thackthwaite. From the summit there are views across the Lorton valley to Grasmoor and Whiteside.

Burnbank Fell is a small hill in the west of the English Lake District. It is the most westerly of the Loweswater Fells, a group of low grassy hills just south of Loweswater. It is predominantly grassy, with sprawling flanks and a broad ridge connecting it to Blake Fell. It can be climbed from Lamplugh in the west, or from Waterend on the lakeshore.

Low Fell is a fell in the English Lake District. It overlooks the lake of Loweswater to the south and to the north is bordered by its neighbour Fellbarrow. It is usually climbed from the villages of Loweswater or Thackthwaite. The fell is largely occupied by grassed enclosures, although there are some rocky outcrops near the top. Low Fell has fairly steep slopes to the south and east.

Eaglesfield is a village and former civil parish, now in the parish of Dean, in Allerdale district, in the county of Cumbria, in England. Historically part of Cumberland, it is near the A5086 road, 2.5 miles (4 km) southwest of Cockermouth and is located just outside the Lake District National Park. In 1931 the parish had a population of 233.

Mockerkin is a settlement in the English county of Cumbria. Historically part of Cumberland, it is situated just outside the Lake District National Park. It lies by road 6 miles (9.7 km) south of Cockermouth., 11.1 miles (18 km) east of Whitehaven, 32.6 miles (52 km) south-west of Carlisle and 48.2 miles (78 km) to the north of Barrow-in-Furness. The name probably derives from the hill-top of a man called Corcán.

Cockermouth railway station was situated on the Cockermouth, Keswick and Penrith Railway and served the town of Cockermouth, Cumbria, England. The station opened to passenger traffic on 2 January 1865 and closed on 18 April 1966. The station was the second to be built in the town. The original Cockermouth & Workington Railway station closed to passengers when the CK&PR station opened on an altered alignment, though it remained in use as a goods station until 1964. The latter station was immortalised in 1964 in the song "Slow Train" by Flanders and Swann. All traces of the station are now gone as the site is now occupied by The Cockermouth Mountain Rescue Base and the Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service. Running down the left hand side of The Fire Service building is the old track bed, now a public walkway; there are original bridges and features surviving to this day.

Allerdale is a non-metropolitan district of Cumbria, England, with borough status. Its council is based in Workington and the borough has a population of 93,492 according to the 2001 census, increasing to 96,422 at the 2011 Census.The Borough of Allerdale was formed under the Local Government Act 1972, on 1 April 1974 by the merger of the municipal borough of Workington, the urban districts of Maryport, Cockermouth and Keswick; and the rural districts of Cockermouth and Wigton, all of which were within the administrative county of Cumberland. In 1995 Allerdale was granted borough status. The name derives from the ancient region of Allerdale, represented latterly by the two wards of Cumberland, called Allerdale-above-Derwent and Allerdale-below-Derwent, the present borough corresponding largely to the latter with parts of the former. Much of the area during the medieval period was a royal forest subject to forest law.In July 2021 the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government announced that in April 2023, Cumbria will be reorganised into two unitary authorities. Allerdale Borough Council is to be abolished and its functions transferred to a new authority, to be known as Cumberland, which will cover the current districts of Allerdale, Carlisle, and Copeland.

Blake Fell is a hill in the Western part of the English Lake District. It is the highest point of the Loweswater Fells, an area of low grassy hills with steep sides overlooking the lake of Loweswater. The fell also overlooks the village of Loweswater, from which it can be climbed. An alternative route is from the Cogra Moss reservoir on its western slopes. Because the Loweswater Fells are a separate geographical unit, Blake Fell is a Marilyn. It is located in the Parish of Lamplugh.
