Eagle Ridge Academy is a charter school with a philosophical emphasis on the classical education movement that serves grades Kindergarten through twelve. It is located in the southern part of Minnetonka, MN (close to Eden Prairie, Minnesota) having moved from another location in 2016. The Kindergarten through eighth grade curriculum follows the Core Knowledge Sequence published by the Core Knowledge Foundation and the high school follows a "Classical framework" to structure its humane letters program.

City West station is one of four light rail stations planned in Eden Prairie, Minnesota, on the Southwest LRT extension of the Green Line. The City West Station will be near the corporate campus for Optum, and the station is positioned west of U.S. Route 212 and south of Minnesota State Highway 62.

Golden Triangle station is one of four light rail stations planned in Eden Prairie, Minnesota on the Southwest LRT extension of the Green Line. The "Golden Triangle" area surrounding the station is considered a regional employment center with more than 20,000 jobs and nearly 10 million square feet of industrial and office space. The Golden Triangle Station will be near the Performing Institute of Minnesota Arts High School and the station is positioned west of U.S. 169, east of U.S. Route 212 and north of I-494.

Downtown Hopkins station is under construction light rail station in Hopkins, Minnesota on the Southwest LRT extension of the Green Line. The station, one of three located in Hopkins, is located just adjacent to Excelsior Blvd or Hennepin County Road 3. Downtown Hopkins is about a five-minute walk away or .25 miles (0.40 km). The station will include a public plaza, connections to Cedar Lake Trail, and an adjacent bus stop. The city of Hopkins plans to encourage transit supportive development nearby including 4-5 story residential buildings. The city of Hopkins, SuperValu, and a Honda dealership are major employers nearby. Although opening of the project was years away, the light rail line helped attract development including a $50 million apartment building close the Downtown Hopkins station. The American Planning Association named The Artery, a street connecting the station to downtown Hopkins as a "Great Street" in 2019. The Artery covers a two block portion of Eighth Avenue. A trial in 2015 added art and a two-way bike lane with the final design opening in 2018. Funding for the $5.5 million project was provided by Hennepin County, Three Rivers Park District, and the Metropolitan Council via a transit-oriented development grant. The Metropolitan Council helped support The Artery project with grants. It also helped fund a nearby apartment building that will have a park-and-ride for riders.

The International School of Minnesota (ISM) is a private, coeducational, nonsectarian PS–12 college preparatory residential and day school, established in 1985. ISM is located on a 55-acre campus in Eden Prairie, MN, southwest of the Twin Cities (Minneapolis/St. Paul) area of Minnesota.

The Hopkins Commercial Historic District covers 2.5 blocks of Main Street in downtown Hopkins, Minnesota. The district was significant regional destination for agricultural, industrial, and commercial activity. Areas around Hopkins historically produced many raspberries and local industrial activity eventually contributed to Minneapolis-Moline which manufactured industrial machinery. At the peak, 50 streetcars a day went down Main Street. Downtown Hopkins is about a five-minute walk away or .25 miles (0.40 km) from the future Downtown Hopkins station on the Southwest LRT. There are 32 contributing properties, 5 non-contributing properties and one non-contributing site. The district was listed on the National Register in January 2022. The nomination was done by the city of Hopkins and the Southwest LRT project office. A public celebration featuring Dean Phillips and Ilhan Omar was held in April 2022 to commemorate the district joining the National Register.

Founded in 2002 by Stages Theatre Company and the Hopkins School District, the Performing Institute of Minnesota Arts High School (PiM Arts High School), formerly Main Street School of Performing Arts, is a tuition free public charter school for grades 9 through 12, sponsored by the University of St. Thomas, and located in Eden Prairie, Minnesota, United States.PiM Arts High School is open to all high school students throughout the metro area and meets all graduation requirements of the State of Minnesota. The school offers Advanced Placement classes in all academic areas, as well as beginning through advanced level classes in 7 different fields; Media Arts, Visual Arts, Vocal Music, Instrumental Music, Theatre, Musical Theatre, and Dance. PiM was a silver award winner in U.S. News & World Report's Best High School Rankings for 2012 and also received a Reward School 2012 recognition from the Minnesota Department of Education.

Library service to the Hopkins, Minnesota community was established more than 100 years ago, when the library was housed in City Hall. The library moved to the historic Dow House in 1948 and then temporarily to a vacant restaurant in 1963. The library opened in its current location in 1968 and was renovated in 2002. The library joined Hennepin County Library in 1973.

Southwest LRT Trail is a system of shared-use paths for bicycles and pedestrian paths that extends through several western suburbs of Minneapolis, Minnesota. They are operated by the Three Rivers Park District. Two former rail corridors originally built by the Minneapolis and St. Louis Railway were acquired and converted to trails in anticipation of the Southwest Corridor light rail project. The two former railway corridors are now divided into three distinct trails.

KTNF (950 kHz, "AM 950") is a commercial AM radio station licensed to St. Louis Park, Minnesota that serves the Minneapolis-St. Paul metropolitan area. The station brands itself as "The Progressive Voice of Minnesota," and offers a combination of locally produced and nationally syndicated progressive talk programming. It is owned by JR Broadcasting. KTNF's studios and transmitter are located on Valley View Road in Eden Prairie. It operates with 1,000 watts around the clock, using a directional antenna, with a two-tower array by day and a three-tower pattern at night. Syndicated shows heard on KTNF include The Stephanie Miller Show, The Thom Hartmann Program, Democracy Now! with Amy Goodman, The Morning Drive with Santita Jackson and The David Pakman Show. Most hours begin with an update from AP Radio News.

Hopkins is a suburban city in Hennepin County, Minnesota, United States, located west of Minneapolis. The population was 19,079 at the 2020 census. The city is four square miles in size and is surrounded by the larger suburban communities of Minnetonka, Saint Louis Park, and Edina. The city's main street was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2022.
