Charlotte Central Historic District

Charlotte ( shar-LOT) is a city and county seat of Eaton County, Michigan. As of the 2010 census, the city population was 9,074. Charlotte is in the central portion of the county on the boundary between Eaton Township and Carmel Township, though politically independent of both. Interstate 69 serves the city and connects it to the state capital of Lansing. It is located 21.5 miles (34.6 kilometers) from downtown Lansing.

The Courthouse Square Museum is a former government building, and current historical museum, located at 100 West Lawrence Avenue in Charlotte, Michigan. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1971.

The First Congregational Church is a historic church located at 106 South Bostwick Street in Charlotte, Michigan. It was built in 1872 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1993. It continues to serve as a Congregational church.

Charlotte station is a former railroad depot located at 430 North Cochran Avenue in Charlotte, Michigan. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2000 as Michigan Central Railroad Charlotte Depot. It has been refurbished as a restaurant, and now houses Don Tequilla's Mexican Grill.

Charlotte High School is a secondary school located in Charlotte, Michigan. It is administered by Charlotte Public Schools.

Eaton County is a county in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2020 United States Census, the population was 109,175. The county seat is Charlotte. The county was organized in 1837 and was named for John Eaton, who was Secretary of War under U.S. President Andrew Jackson, making it one of Michigan's Cabinet counties. Eaton County is included in the Lansing-East Lansing, Metropolitan Statistical area in Central Michigan.

Carmel Township is a civil township of Eaton County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 2,855 as of the 2010 census.

Crandell Park is a public park in Eaton County, Michigan covering about 432 acres (0.675 sq mi). The park is located about 2 miles east of Charlotte. The entrance to the park is off Michigan highway M-50. It is Eaton County's newest park, being established in 2017. Crandell Lake (located within the park) is Eaton County's largest lake at 160 acres (0.25 sq mi) in size.Crandell Park was established in 2017, after Eaton County purchased the land for US$3.9 million in 2016 from a local resident named Randy Crandell. The transaction was made possible due to a Michigan Department of Natural Resources (DNR) grant. The grant covered 75% of the cost, and Crandell donated the remaining 25%.

Wend Valley Airport (FAA LID: 49G) is a privately-owned, public-use general aviation airport located northwest of Charlotte in Eaton County, Michigan, United States.

Benton Township is a civil township of Eaton County in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2010 census, the township population was 2,796. When the township was organized in 1843, the Michigan State Legislature named it "Tom Benton", after Thomas Hart Benton, the notable U.S. Senator from Missouri. The name was changed to simply "Benton" in 1845.

Walton Township is a civil township of Eaton County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 2,011 at the 2000 census.
