International Centre, Goa is prominent conference centre, seminars venue, and cultural space in the western Indian state of Goa. It is located at Dona Paula, outside Panjim (Panjim). Its setting up has been supported, among others, by the Ford Foundation. Launched over a decade-and-half ago, it is seen as a prominent place for bringing "thought leaders" together for research and sharing of knowledge and ideas at a local, national and international level. It is known for its frequent lectures, talks and workshops.International Centre, Goa is a not-for-profit autonomous society founded in June 1987, though supported in part by the government. It was inaugurated on 18 June 1996, and is located in Goa, India. It is patterned loosely on the India International Centre at New Delhi, a non-government institution that is considered one of India's premier cultural institutions and "where statesmen, diplomats, policymakers, intellectuals, scientists, jurists, writers, artists and members of civil society meet".

Goa University Library is one of the major libraries in the state of Goa, India. It houses an estimated 140,000 books and 300 journals. It also is home to special interest collections and rare and antique manuscripts, according to its official website.

Taleigão, or Platô de Taleigão, is a neighborhood located in the southern part of the city of Panaji, the capital of the Indian state of Goa. It is entirely located on the island of Tiswadi, which is one of the talukas in the state of Goa. The neighborhood is known for its important campus at the Goa University.

Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Indoor Stadium is an indoor stadium located on the campus of Goa University at Taleigao, Goa, India.The stadium was constructed for the 2014 Lusophony Games for events of volleyball and basketball. The stadium is named after Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee former Indian politician and the founder of Bhartiya Jana Sangh. The stadium has a seating capacity of 4000 and was inaugurated by Governor of Goa Bharat Vir Wanchoo in 2014.It cost 82 crore and was built in 11 months which is a record for the construction of an indoor stadium of international standard. With a 131-metre sheet, the stadium is Asia's first stadium which has the longest single-sheet roof. Facilities includes air conditioning, player change rooms and lounge, dope control and medical rooms, media centre, state-of-the-art-acoustics and parking facilities and maple wood flooring at playing field. The stadium can also be used for many non sporting events and it can accommodate any indoor sporting event played at the Olympics. Facilities include HD compliant arena lighting, Broadcast room, TV Studio, Player Dressing rooms, Match Delegates area, Dope control rooms, Medical rooms for players and spectators, VIP Lounge, Media Tribune and Media working stations, Press Conference area, Mixed zone area, CCTV camera and parking facilities.

Santa Cruz Assembly constituency is one of the original Goa Legislative Assembly constituency seats in the Tiswadi Taluka of North Goa District in the State of Goa. The other constituencies in Tiswadi are Panaji, Taleigao, St. Andre and Cumbarjua. Santa Cruz is one of the Ilha(s) (Island(s)), the other being Chorão, Divar, St. Estevam and Vaxim. The Portuguese conquered these lands as part of Velha Conquista and used it for spice trade principally and simultaneously for spiritual purposes this resulted in the establishment of Catholic faith in Goa. In 1547, the Portuguese missionaries established the Santa Cruz Catholic Church (also known by its direct translation of Holy Cross Catholic Church). Hence, this constituency has been named as Santa Cruz constituency. A landmark in Calapor/Santa Cruz is called Almacho Khuris (Cross of the Soul in Konkani). This monument was built to commemorate the death of a patriotic Calaporkar. Jack de Sequeira, widely known for his role in Goan statehood, held this seat between 1967 and 1980.

The National Institute of Water Sports (NIWS) is designated centre under Indian Institute of Tourism and Travel Management (IITTM) which run by Tourism Ministry, India. The Institute, only one of its nature in South Asia, acts as the apex body for training, education, consultancy and research on areas related to recreational and leisure Watersports. The certification and licensing from this Institute are required for carrying out operations in water-bodies such as handling different watercraft for the tourists, swimming pools, water theme-parks etc. Some major disciplines for training and education are life saving, powerboat handling, sailing, windsurfing, water skiing, scuba diving, river rafting and kayaking. From Academic Year 2016, MBA- Tourism (Tourism & Travel) has been introduced & PhD in Tourism & Travel commenced in July 2018 at its state-of-the art campus.

The National Institute of Oceanography, founded on 1 January 1966 as one of 38 constituent laboratories of the CSIR, is a self-governing research organisation in India that conducts scientific research and studies on the unique oceanographic features of the northern Indian Ocean. It is headquartered in Goa and has regional offices in Kochi, Mumbai, and Visakhapatnam.

Sharada Mandir School is a private nursery to higher secondary co-educational school in Miramar, Panaji, Goa, India. It was established in 1966 and affiliated to the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations.The school follows the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) up till Std.10 and is now affiliated with the Indian School Certificate for Std. 12. In the late 2000s, the school was acquired by the industrialist Dattaraj V. Government Polytechnic, Panaji is a polytechnic in the state of Goa, India. It is also the first polytechnic college of state of Goa. Government Polytechnic, Panaji offers diploma programs in engineering and technology that cater to the changing needs of industry, business and community at large using need based curricular delivered in a dynamic learning environment. St Inez creek is a creek in Panjim, in the Indian state of Goa. The creek opens up into the Mandovi River. The creek is 3.7 kilometres (2 mi) in length, with a surface area of 65,750 square metres (707,700 sq ft) with an average width of 12.6 metres (41 ft). The creek begins at the paddy fields at Altinho hill at Taleigao, Caranzalem, and the Nagahali hills of Dona Paula. Caculo Island, is located in the creek. The creek has 12 culverts that originate from the old Goa Medical College complex leading to the Campal head, the Fire Brigade, the sewerage treatment plant at Tonca, the Tambdi Mati Cumrabhat, and the El Passo hotel. According to a Portuguese plaque on one of the culverts, the creek dates back to 1829, although Historian Percival Noronha dates it back to 1647.
